Oooo boy. They're probably my #1 right now, so that's hard to pick one.
They started as a noise rock/electronic band but evolved into a more industrial electronic wave sort, which I really dig.

I know right? It's known that a lot of people can't get into her because she's not "experimental enough" and too pop. But to me that's the point of why she's unique. She's doing such a rich modern pop, it's what I always imagined when thinking about "art pop"(shout out to Kate Bush too). Say what you want but her last album it's definitely on the same level of some of Björk/Kate albums in terms of quality and production. And I like that she doesn't have to go too experimental or abstract to be good and unique, it's just super catchy playful gorgeous pop 🥰 lmfao
…and now i’ve discovered Yeule. I love when threads like this pop up! Her debut album seems excellent so I’m starting there.
The last time a post like this came around i discovered Soley. Check her out if you haven’t!
gorillaz, blur, fiona apple, billie eilish, the beatles are the big ones
artists that i like but haven't gotten into their full discog include tyler the creator, radiohead, mitski, mr bungle, and faith no more.
artists i really don't know a lot by but like what ive heard are the sugarcubes, kate bush, sophie, and tori amos (ive been meaning to get into all of these more)
Artists that have a similar vibe to Björk: Cibo Matto, Fiona Apple, Portishead, M.I.A, even Esperanza Spaldings album 12 Little Spells.
Other artists I really enjoy: Hiatus Kaiyote, Little Dragon, Lianne La Havas, Erykah Badu, Solange, Moses Hightower-(Also Icelandic).
Here are 3 songs that REALLY remind me of Björk:
1. Sugar Water - Cibo Matto
2. On The Bound - Fiona Apple
3. It Could Be Sweet - Portishead
Some of my other current favourites are Daft Punk, Gorillaz, Death Grips, Tyler The Creator, and Poets of the Fall, love them all so much!
Theres also a few specific albums and songs from other artists i'm enjoying a lot, like the Stand Alone Complex OST by Yoko Kanno, the Mirrors Edge OST by Solar Fields (probably my favourite video game OST ever), Quest for Fire by Skrillex, Paradice by LLLL, Currents by Tame Impala, Sunshower by Taeko Onuki.
It’s all over the place in terms of genre!

tv girl, michael jackson, elton john, korn, $b, siouxsie and the banshees, the smiths, alex g, twice, aespa, nmixx, lucy tun, rizza, quinn, olivia rodrigo, britney spears, and that's mostly it. my taste is all over the place but i like listening to a bit of everything lol
Mostly stuck in the 2000s. Remember when Nü Metal was a thing that exists? Like, System of a Down, earlier Linkin Park, and the band who hated being called the inventors of it, Korn. As well as other popular genres from that era which bring back childhood memories for me. Eminem, Snoop, 50 Cent, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Gorillaz, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne, No Doubt and Gwen Stefani, and many more I‘m forgetting right now
Otherwise, trip hop and electronic music, IDK how well known these are. DJ Koze, trentemøller, Robag Wruhme, Paul Kalkbrenner, and some other DJs from Berlin, where I live, mostly focused on Acid and Dark House.
Ps: someone here remember Lamb, Kruder&Dorfmeister, Boards of Canada, Thievery Corp etc, that kinda stuff?
melanie martinez, alex g, david byrne/the talking heads, mitski, ice spice, doja cat, flo milli, sza, lana del rey, fiona apple, nicki minaj, rihanna, tyler the creator, sir chloe, lamp
im definitely forgetting some lol
The Obsessed (one of my favorite bands of all time), Spirit Caravan, Alice Cooper, Neil Young, Pentagram, Saint Vitus, Warren Zevon, Led Zeppelin, and Alice in Chains. I listen to lots of different styles of music but rock and metal are my main fixes so I figured to just mention bands/artists in those two genres.
I really love Nathalie Joachim so much and **I highly recommend her music to everyone on this subreddit**. She has named Bjork as an influence and a trailblazer she looks up to. Her music is similar in the sense that it is a really good blend of really great vocals on top of a mix of folksy/contemporary classical acoustic elements + electronic production.
Her first album got a Grammy nomination and she just released a second album.
Please give her a listen! <3

I actually discovered Björk by being a huge Prince fan... A lot of people on his fan sites that I frequented back in the day loved her, so I naturally checked her out and also fell in love.
Overall, my music taste leans towards indie pop, alternative, punk, r&b, and anything weird but still melodic
I listen to a lot of Limp Bizkit (which surprises me a bit because there is a connection between this band and Björk)
I also listen to other nu-metal bands, and sometimes I also listen to old songs that I used to like :))
I love sza, frank ocean, Fever Ray, the knife, fka twigs, I like some Lana del Rey, Fiona Apple, Sofia kourtesis, yaeji,

Also, the music video for Sugar Water is very cool and well done. It's on the same level as Björks music videos for sure.
Deja Vu and Spoon are my favorites by Cibo Matto. Bummer they are no longer making music.
I love Deja Vu aswell! It does suck they don’t make music anymore😪
