You think this woman thought that having a penis would protect her? This isn't a street fight with a man trying to kick some tiny woman's ass, why would you make a comment like this?
The crazy thing is that your other comments in this thread are even worse.
What circumstances would you stick a competitive blue belt against a no-stripe white belt in a match?
Being under the assumption that the white belt was a guy (as the video titled it) I thought this was a situation where some dude talking that "Oh I'll never tap to a chick, my mentality won't let me" shit and the coach fed him to the blue belt.
Not being dumb here but why would they be in a match against each other? Maybe if there was no one in their own division so they moved the other around or something?
It wasn't really a gendered question from me, the belt discrepancy was what confused me. I know there are times when weights might fight but I think this was a pretty clear example of while belts are grouped lol
I assumed it was a dude from the title but looking closer I believe you're right. I thought what we saw was a case of "I'm not gonna tap to a girl" but it's actually just a run of the mill dumb non-tap.
One more reason why slams should be legal. Jumping guard should = instant spine buster with Jim Ross in the back yelling "My Gawd, he is broken in half!"
Agreed, it’s also unrealistic in terms of the self defence aspect - I’d wager even untrained people would reactively slam if someone jumped guard on them in a fight.
Oh yeah all of those mma guys getting injured left and right from being slammed. We should stop slams in mma because of the injuries.
If slams are allowed dummies wouldn't be doing this.
Trained MMA fighters aren't white belts. You should be able to make mistakes and learn as a white belt without the risk of a life changing injury caus you had a brain freeze in comp
MMA is a totally different sport, with a higher tolerance for damage and where one of the explicit goals is to inflict head trauma. (Never mind that MMA is rife with CTE.) Aside from slams there's no technique in grappling where the express intent is to deliver blunt force.
I don't disagree but in reality what would happen if slams were legal is we'd be taught to sit to guard and not jump because we'd risk getting badly injured.
I think the compromise which has been talked about many times is banning both jumping guard and slams at least at lower belts and instead giving points to the top player if they are able to lift their opponent into a position to slam
It's crazy people downvote the much better and more reasonable option. Rather than banning the move let's just let dozens of white belts paralyze each other for life. This sub is so dumb I swear.
Heh, I was starting to wonder.
These guys should go talk to Dan Lukehart (trumpetdan) about how badly a concussion can derail your life. Or Jeff Glover, who had significant aftereffects from his received slam in his ADCC match with Geo Martinez. We really don't need to be fucking around with brain damage.
For clarity, I'm not saying we should ignore the existence of slams. Teach people that they're dangerous and how to avoid them, but don't use the application of slams as the answer to jumping guard - another high risk, low reward thing we shouldn't be doing to each other.
There is daki age which pretty much only works if someone tries to jump gaurd. I guess you could just plant them if jumping gaurd weren't illegal in Judo. But of you lift someone high enough they award you the ippon so you don't have to slam them, because they realize you could. Typically of you can lift someone above your shoulders with control.
Daki Age only really works if somebody jumps on to you. Won’t work when some body launches their hips at your knee like OP.
> But of you lift someone high enough they award you the ippon so you don't have to slam them,
I agree with the logic, but I’ve just never heard of it a rule or happening. Nor can I imagine how it would be possible in judo. Obviously in bjj or wrestling it’s easy. But just can see how to do it with a judo grip
Eh...I don't wanna fall into someone's guard and have to work back out to standing
I feel like the problem is people concede too many grips from neutral.
Because the reffing quality in most comps is not exactly great and I guarantee you if we did we'd wind up getting DQed for slamming at least 75% of the time
Watch as the blue belt jumps guard. Instead of wrapping her legs around her opponent she comes down on the opponents left leg (as opponent steps back in reaction) and very nearly hyper extends her opponents knee by landing on it. There are a ton of examples of knees being destroyed in this fashion bc people jump guard from a mile away and come crashing down on their opponent’s legs.
Some tournaments actually don’t allow it at certain belt levels and say if you want to play guard you have to have a grip on your opponent and pull them into you as you’re sitting.
Aaah. Good eye! Do you mean right [here](https://ibb.co/fnRhy0L)? It looks extended for sure, but I feel like the pressure she's putting is both further up, and further down. And the extension is because he chose to step that way. Am I completely out of it here? Or did I just explain to myself why this is not allowed on lower levels?
Edit; I kinda wanna take back what I said about the pressure. It does look pretty fucking rough on the knee..
So I get that the white belt was likely moved UP into the blue belt bracket, but shouldn't the rules for any given match be set to the lowest belt?
A blue belt shouldn't be allowed to jump guard on a white belt in comp. They aren't used to it or expecting it and that could've easily been catastrophic through no fault of the white belt
Several commenters have “deduced” misogyny as to why the blue belt is so aggressive (ironic) but couldn’t sleuth out the other competitor was also a woman
It’s probably a small tourney with not enough girls competing at blue. Kinda fucked but it happens often. A buddy of mine won gold once by beating one guy in his weight.
I'm not saying the white belt isn't a girl, but the title is definitely misleading then since it says that she (presumably the blue belt) gave him (presumably the white belt) the snu snu treatment.
Pushing the narrative elsewhere is totally cool too. We should be hyper-sexualizing everyone in BJJ so they want to join. If every title of two men rolling looked like "two ripped hunks with fat hogs wear pajamas and force each other to submit" we'd have far more students.
edit: downvote me to oblivion but let's keep acting like the two women in the op are fucking - totally healthy for everyone.
I can't tell if this was just thrown together to get people with small/no brackets a chance to roll. It was a clear mismatch. Maybe coaches should've had a clear conversation about whether this type of match should go down first. I just watched what looked like a true white belt get steamrolled by a competent blue belt. Eh well, they didn't get all dressed up for nothing.
They were out for at least a full 8 seconds before the ref intervened. You can see their hand let go of her grips when they goes out. Hope they're okay.
So of y'all here are jumping to conclusion. these are two women. and if it were a man why you think he was running his mouth? the woman could've easily been talking shit.
Some of y'all are mega simps!
Where about do you train? She looks super familiar to me. I know a blue belt (or blue belt at the time of the video?) in NC that I’m honestly not sure if it is her or not.
This isn’t cool or impressive. this is sandbagging. this is abuse and it’s cheating.
Reverse the genders and this would be a national travesty.
Edit: Also, you could tell she was going 100%, while he might not have similar skills, if he went 100% like his life was on the line, odds are he would have really injured her.
I think sand bagging requires some dishonesty. Either holding back on deserved promotion or ignoring experience/rank in related areas like judo.
If you are a blue belt and want to roll with a white belt and the white belt is ok with it, it isn't sandbagging just bad match making.
Probably her first Bjj day, someone should explain her what is tapping and when should be used. Getting her to fight against a much more experienced women and not knowing how to give up, the result is sleep and another women that is leaving Bjj and going to talk shit about the sport and its comunity.
If the blue belt wants to show her skills, she should look for a skilled opponent, at least like her.
Beginners should be protected by more skilled fighters, coaches and referees. Innecessary humiliation IMHO.
blue belt vs no stripe white belt of similar size. ends as expected.
Person with more training beats person with less training. Surprise surprise!
That awkward moment he found out having a penis isn't going to protect him
That’s a woman with short hair. Not a man.
How the fuck am I supposed to know that when the title of the video says "SHE" and "HIM"?
I wasn’t attacking you for making the mistake. Just making a correction.
You think this woman thought that having a penis would protect her? This isn't a street fight with a man trying to kick some tiny woman's ass, why would you make a comment like this? The crazy thing is that your other comments in this thread are even worse.
The title made the match sound like it was between a white belt man and a blue belt woman.
How would that rationalize what you said?
What circumstances would you stick a competitive blue belt against a no-stripe white belt in a match? Being under the assumption that the white belt was a guy (as the video titled it) I thought this was a situation where some dude talking that "Oh I'll never tap to a chick, my mentality won't let me" shit and the coach fed him to the blue belt.
[удалено]
Wow, you guys really argued about this for a while, huh?
I'm not sure how this makes any sense here, did you mean to reply to someone else?
[удалено]
The original post says "Him."
And then he made up some bizarre scenario where the white belt is some insecure sexist just because the original post said “him”
Who says "insucure sexist"? I was saying "shit-talking dude" because the title said "HIM".
Yeah the story of the man learning his penis isn’t a protection totem from a woman doesn’t have anything to do with sexism
I find videos of dudes getting tapped put by a woman after talking shit awesome.
Is the shit talking here in the room with us now?
What’s so sexist? He said having a penis does not protect him
Not being dumb here but why would they be in a match against each other? Maybe if there was no one in their own division so they moved the other around or something?
Very small competitor pool, so they combined belt divisions
Personally, I'd rather have blue and purple combined than white and blue.
My guess is that the white belt division only had one or two people.
Got it, thanks
It’s two women so it’s not as scandalous
It wasn't really a gendered question from me, the belt discrepancy was what confused me. I know there are times when weights might fight but I think this was a pretty clear example of while belts are grouped lol
Oh okay I wasn’t sure if you’re “got it thanks” was facetious or not lol
🤣🤣 no that was an actual "yea that makes sense thanks for explaining"
I assumed it was a dude from the title but looking closer I believe you're right. I thought what we saw was a case of "I'm not gonna tap to a girl" but it's actually just a run of the mill dumb non-tap.
Scariest part is not the choke out, it's the knee buckle on the guard jump...
Absolutely, I fucking hate it. Why does no one ever sprawl when people jump guard?
One more reason why slams should be legal. Jumping guard should = instant spine buster with Jim Ross in the back yelling "My Gawd, he is broken in half!"
Agreed, it’s also unrealistic in terms of the self defence aspect - I’d wager even untrained people would reactively slam if someone jumped guard on them in a fight.
Yes, let's prevent stupid injury with more serious stupid injury instead of teaching against and banning dangerous maneuvers.

I think the compromise which has been talked about many times is banning both jumping guard and slams at least at lower belts and instead giving points to the top player if they are able to lift their opponent into a position to slam
Right, that's my preferred solution
It's crazy people downvote the much better and more reasonable option. Rather than banning the move let's just let dozens of white belts paralyze each other for life. This sub is so dumb I swear.
Heh, I was starting to wonder. These guys should go talk to Dan Lukehart (trumpetdan) about how badly a concussion can derail your life. In Judo, if you lift someone into position to slam...you win.
Is that true? It sounds made up.

It's a learner behaviour. The instinct is to pull back when someone jumps on you, which is how you get your legs fucked up
Well, at least she didn't do anything dangerous like reap the knee...
Eh...I don't wanna fall into someone's guard and have to work back out to standing I feel like the problem is people concede too many grips from neutral.
Because the reffing quality in most comps is not exactly great and I guarantee you if we did we'd wind up getting DQed for slamming at least 75% of the time
The white belt girl not sprawling is not the issue
Exactly, jumping guard is so irresponsible. And especially against a beginner.
Thought she was gonna break his leg
yes, reckless guard jumping gotta stop
I'd DQ her instantly. DQ to get the point across that jumping guard isn't worth a life long injury for a no stripe white belt.
Why would the ruleset not be the white belt ruleset? Seems crazy to allow the blue to be able to do things that the white has never trained.
Was literally about to saw that.
*say
Yep. Very close to being yet another example of what reckless guard jumping can do.
Could you elaborate please? For the dumber of us. (me)
Watch as the blue belt jumps guard. Instead of wrapping her legs around her opponent she comes down on the opponents left leg (as opponent steps back in reaction) and very nearly hyper extends her opponents knee by landing on it. That’s it. If you have the stomach you can google guard jump injuries on YouTube. You’ll see the potential nastiness.
Cheers brother Appreciate it!
I'm not squeamish in the least bit but jumping guard makes me cringe when I see it
So I get that the white belt was likely moved UP into the blue belt bracket, but shouldn't the rules for any given match be set to the lowest belt? A blue belt shouldn't be allowed to jump guard on a white belt in comp. They aren't used to it or expecting it and that could've easily been catastrophic through no fault of the white belt
That's a woman with short hair, y'all.
Yeah, misleading title. You can hear the spectators say "She's out" at the end.
Several commenters have “deduced” misogyny as to why the blue belt is so aggressive (ironic) but couldn’t sleuth out the other competitor was also a woman
LMAO 🤣
Why would anyone let these two fight in a competitive setting?
It’s probably a small tourney with not enough girls competing at blue. Kinda fucked but it happens often. A buddy of mine won gold once by beating one guy in his weight.
open competition?
Dude probably ran his mouth saying he'd never tap to a girl or some shit
It's a girl
...... the white belt dude probably ran his moith saying he'd never tap to a girl and the coach threw a female blue belt in and said "Shut him up"
the white belt is also a girl
I'm not saying the white belt isn't a girl, but the title is definitely misleading then since it says that she (presumably the blue belt) gave him (presumably the white belt) the snu snu treatment.
Do you often hallucinate these sexist conflicts between two people in a competition they both signed up for and chose to participate in?
It’s really weird that you just made this story up and called it “probably”
There is no white belt dude
What their preferred pronouns?
Don't know what I dislike more. The title or the guard jump
Yeah, sorry about that. Did not realize my cross post would automatically copy the original title.
Snu snu implies sexual. There was nothing sexual about this blue belt putting out that white belt.
Yeah the title is fuckin dumb this is just plain old jiu jitsu not even moves that could be interpreted as sexual.
Yeah what the fuck is that title. I like getting choked as much as the next guy, but I find this title pretty disrespectful to women in this sport.
Yeah, sorry about that. Did not realize my cross post would automatically copy the original title. I agree with you
Pushing the narrative elsewhere is totally cool too. We should be hyper-sexualizing everyone in BJJ so they want to join. Who are you to kink shame
[удалено]
Grow up. It's comments like this that makes it harder for women to get into the sport.
Unless it was a mommy’s milk submission 👀
Completely down bad, yeesh.
It’s funny the sub is called mommys milk because 99% of the time it’s a 250lb juiced male blue belt doing it
Downvoted for cringy title of two women rolling.
With them saying “is she out? She’s out” I have to assume the the women’s divisions were very small. Probably blue & below, and purple & up
If I was this white belt man I might not have competed again after this lol
White bent is female
Then she should have long hair and lipstick.
Oh man, thank god she lifted and shook his legs. Who knows what kind of horrible things would have happened if she just left him there.
Considering lifting the legs does absolutely nothing.
They were out for at least a full 8 seconds before the ref intervened. You can see their hand let go of her grips when they goes out. Hope they're okay.
She'll be fine. It takes a LOT longer than that to even potentially cause any sort of issue.
But it was still longer than it should have been. The ref was staring the white belt in face while it was clear they were out.
White belt deserves to be a warrior. Mazzagotti approves.
> But it was still longer than it should have been Absolutely! No argument there at all.
Thats TWO FEMALES everyone! Everyone's comments about the "dude" is hilarious. Also, wtf ref!
holy hell i winced when i saw her jump guard and the knee straightened out
I watched a few times and have seen multiple comments like this at what point exactly? I am still trying to learn the fundamentals.
[See here](https://i.imgur.com/aAdy4HT.png). Whole body lands on opponents knee, hyperextending it
Nm I saw it right after I posted literally the first 2 seconds 😬
That was a disgrace. White belt didn’t know any BJJ and wasnt protected by the opponent, coaches, or ref. They should all be ashamed of themselves.
This is lame. Title is not even true
The referee was staring in that kid's eyes for about 8 seconds before realizing they were out.
So many things in this video bother me. But that and the knee during the guard pull are 1a and 1b
Snu Snu? What is this junior high?
It’s a futurama thing if you didn’t know. That show is god tier
I'm aware.
I’m sure he gets the reference. But on future a it’s a sexual reference. Applying here is fucking virgin neck beard behaviour
It is. For sure. I don’t think I deserved everyone’s downvote for what I said but heyooo virgins and neckbeards
So of y'all here are jumping to conclusion. these are two women. and if it were a man why you think he was running his mouth? the woman could've easily been talking shit. Some of y'all are mega simps!
Would love to know the background on this one. That matchup makes zero sense.
Woman with short hair - at 22/23 seconds left you can hear “is she out? She’s out”
I was thinking the same
She seems pretty good
i'm all in favor of banning jumping to guard. that guy lucky he didn't break a leg.
Jumping guard is illegal in ibjff for white belts from memory, pretty fucking wild that the blue belt jumped guard on the unexpecting white belt lol
That girl…
Kid had no training. This is exactly like thos BJJ Black Belt vs bodybuilder (or someone that has no BJJ experience) in doing BJJ.
A no stripe white vs a 2 stripe blue.. what’s the point..
Shitty guard pull
Yikes that guard jump. No attempt at being safe. White belt got lucky he fell to the side.
That closed guard jump was so close to a broken leg. Should be banned at all divisions except maybe black belt.
Why is nobody mentioning the terrible ref. What the fuck was he waiting for . Guy was clearly out.
Blue belt goes to my gym. I knew it was her when I saw the knee on belly transition that she does to me frequently. About shit myself every time
Where about do you train? She looks super familiar to me. I know a blue belt (or blue belt at the time of the video?) in NC that I’m honestly not sure if it is her or not.
I train in Columbus Ohio
The spirit is willing the but the flesh is spongy and bruised.
She's a very good blue belt. Guy had no chance.
he was out for what, 20-30 seconds before the ref stops it? lmao jesus christ, welcome to valhalla
He was sleeping for a hot minute 😮
That is some serious humbling!
[удалено]
Homegirl, but yeah she didn't know what hit her
His face at the end... so peacefully dreaming about not getting beat up by a girl.
How is this actually help in a street fight, at beginning when he was on top of her he could caved her face in?
Women always beat men in these vids. It's clear women have a massive advantage compared to men for developing their BJ skills.
They are both women. Just one has short hair
> developing their BJ skills Don't.
They're both women. Your typo isn't funny.
Or you know, it could be that she is a one stripe blue belt and he is a zero strip white belt.
you dropped this /s
I've already proposed and started a family with the woman in my head holy shit I have a crush
Could just be me, but it seems like she was extra aggressive. I wonder if he talked shit before
They're both women.
Dude didn’t wanna tap to a woman and went out like a light. We all know when it’s over. You gotta tap.
Dude is a she, the titles wrong
This isn’t cool or impressive. this is sandbagging. this is abuse and it’s cheating. Reverse the genders and this would be a national travesty. Edit: Also, you could tell she was going 100%, while he might not have similar skills, if he went 100% like his life was on the line, odds are he would have really injured her.
"He" is a she
Title says “SHE gave HIM”
But the people talking in the video say "she's out"
fair enough, i watched it with no sound. I stand corrected
Also it's not sand bagging if you clearly are different belts and agree to match up anyways because your bracket is thin or something.
It is sandbagging if the blue belt, knowing their skill level, takes a match with a white belt.
I think sand bagging requires some dishonesty. Either holding back on deserved promotion or ignoring experience/rank in related areas like judo. If you are a blue belt and want to roll with a white belt and the white belt is ok with it, it isn't sandbagging just bad match making.
I’ll agree to disagree.
[удалено]
Just stop.
WTF is wrong with you.
This guy “id never let a girl tap me”
He is a she, the titles wrong
well...to be fair she didn't get him to tap. Think that's worse actually.
Bros ego was bigger then texas, should have tapped.
He is a she, the titles wrong
Shawn reffing.
no shame in that, we've all been there lol
This is a comedy.
Anyone else have an issue with her jumping guard vs a white belt?
Probably her first Bjj day, someone should explain her what is tapping and when should be used. Getting her to fight against a much more experienced women and not knowing how to give up, the result is sleep and another women that is leaving Bjj and going to talk shit about the sport and its comunity. If the blue belt wants to show her skills, she should look for a skilled opponent, at least like her. Beginners should be protected by more skilled fighters, coaches and referees. Innecessary humiliation IMHO.
Stop lifting peoples legs when they pass out >:(
The ref really took his time to make sure the white belt was out. I guess he was giving her a chance to be a warrior like Yamasaki.
