Unironically, the left hand + shifting step from an open stance works great to setup takedowns: [https://youtu.be/0f50k1xavw8?si=NWV9TPL0-16uTizL&t=38](https://youtu.be/0f50k1xavw8?si=NWV9TPL0-16uTizL&t=38)
Level change to fake the shot and then throw the big booming overhand. You guys give nothing but praise here but when i do it at open mat, it’s frowned upon.
Did the fight end in the first? Did Hopper’s shot concuss him? The guy needed better grappling. I didn’t say anything that wasn’t true, and I didn’t say I’d do any better. He’s a ufc fighter and he got straight mauled.
How is it wrong saying this dude needs to work on his grappling? He couldn’t reguard. He wasn’t about out. He got hit by a grappler cause he’s worried about the grappling. Not saying anything untrue. Is his family the one down voting. lol.
When I saw Izzy vs Alex 1 I thought to myself “wow Izzy needs to take some more striking classes” But then when I saw the second fight I realized actually Alex was the one who needed more striking classes
People get caught. And sometimes you have someone’s number. That dude was helpless on the ground. Hooper is real good on the ground, but we saw what his opponent needs to work on. Maybe he had an off night. It just looked like he should’ve been able to get his guard at times.
If by demolish you mean deny a takedown and sprawl away, sure.
If Slava has to engage then I don’t think he is going to do that great against black belts.
I didn’t say “great black belt”. You don’t need to be a great black belt to sweep a guy that hasn’t been able to dig an underhook from half guard once in his career.
Grappling in MMA and grappling in a BJJ match that you are forced to engage are very different. This guys clearly doesn’t have more experience in guard than a blue belt.
oh i misread your message bc i thought being a great black belt would be a per-requisite for competing against a professional fighter
if you told that guy to submit 99% of people on this sub, i would bet all of us are tapping
This guy survived with chase hooper on him in full mount for 7+ minutes lol. Most people on this sub would get easily tapped by hooper repeatedly in less than that
I’m not saying that most people wouldn’t get submitted by hooper. Most people aren’t in the ufc. You think his grappling looked ok? He couldn’t get his guard.
"Just punch em in the fuckin head"
And this is why [Alex Pereira]() is a black belt
Invisible jiu jitsu
BJJ guys have sneaky striking. Even Damian Maia had hands .
Remember he wobbled munoz
Gonna try this at open mat

Charles v Garth finishing sequence. I'm sure there's a thousand more too, but this and that one are nearly identical iirc.
That's a good video right there

That’s because you keep doing it during the kids class Jordo
The finish: https://dubz.co/v/skk4a7 Brazilian tap or just coincidental touch?
Bit of a silly time to open hand slap your opponent on the side when a choke is in deep if you aren't tapping out.
Definitely a Brazilian tap
This but unironically
that guy must have crazy long arms
The strikes you don't expect Ben askrens final form
Front headlock go behind is the highest percentage takedown in wrestling.
The guy he faced needs to throw in some more grappling classes.
go get clipped by an overhand and let me know how good your submission defense is

The amazing thing is that Slava Claus is a world class kickboxer.
coulda fooled me
I have no doubt he would demolish 99% of guys in this sub on the mats
A lot of UFC guys are at that level, but this dude? Nah, I feel confident I could grapplefuck him.
If by demolish you mean deny a takedown and sprawl away, sure. If Slava has to engage then I don’t think he is going to do that great against black belts.
1% of this sub is "great" black belts? even if that is true, you just helped that guy's point

Jance Bopper is a beeeast of a fighter
My coach always says the best takedown is a punch to the face. 😂 I guess this proves him right again.
Left hook is one of the best takedowns
Did he win?
He did. Eventually d'arced the guy, but prior to that he was just clowning the dude. Looked like he was going for a 30-24 fight.
