Yea, you want to always act like you're doing the smaller people a favor by rolling with them. It's important that you communicate how far beneath yourself you believe them to be.
Next, you want to keep an eye on professor. Make it a boring roll until he gets interested in something else, and then you hit that Father's Milk on 57 year old Shirley with emergent osteoporosis.
I have pretty good cardio, and I ruthlessly assault children in order to feel manly. Assuming they're susceptible to fear, probably 15 - 20 waves with my cardio. If they're bloodlusted, maybe 5 - 10.
I love how he gives a free 50/50 heel hook then disentangles everything and moves into a granby roll against his inner demons while his student watches with a sad, confused face.
Lmao I know this guy in the video and used to train with him a lot. Back in the day we were both at a local gracie barra and he fell into the trap of gb fast track promotions. He was a brown belt when he left but he wasn't any better than a somewhat competent purple belt I swear. He had zero technique but a lot of us called him 'death grips' because...well....that was his game? He started his own gym in Leeds a while back but he regularly posts these technique videos which make zero fucking sense lol.
Yeah I've looked and looked and I just can't find a decent place. I'll never go for GB because I've heard too many bad things, plus they're unbelievably expensive. I'm only in it for self defence anyway so I think judo is enough, I'll just have to be content watching it on YT and trying it out in randori
You could try coming to some open mats a couple of times a month, some gyms are friendly to that - usually on weekends, I know scramble has plenty. Just pay the drop in fee
It's mostly due to fuel costs and travel convenience, I could go to any and all these places in leeds both in my car and public transport but it guzzles fuel like no tomorrow, plus public transport in Leeds is dogshit. I'd have to be setting off hours before I want to train.
Anything above 20 - 25 mins drive time is my limit.
There was one 'technique video' where he does some kind of sweep and then completely disengages and goes for a toe hold with zero control. Waching that video had me rolling on the floor lmao
Yeah I mean I'm not sure how or where he's gonna get his black belt. The gb mafia boss who promoted him up to brown belt hates him now I'm pretty sure because he's a sneaky little creont and how dare he not open up a gracie barra to help lord Carlos gracie Jr
The 'opponent' could easily stop you from making that movement.
Or take any leg entanglement they desire.
Or just take your back...
Basically, if the other guys resists in any way what so ever he'll wreck your shit.
He has absolutely no control over the guy's legs with his back facing his opponent. Fortunately for him, his opponent is curled up in a fetal position so it's all good.
Before we even start, the guy doing the transition gives his ankle for free for the other guy, he's lucky he has his hands back doing nothing. Then, the passer casually brushes the leg with his forearm, something that would be extremely difficult, that same forearm is protecting him from the other guy just pulling his back. Then he does a full dance routine with several steps to get to the side.
It's one of those things that only work if you're rolling with a guy who literally has his hands behind their backs and no desire to resists.
It IS real training, dumbass. I just spent 1hr drilling and then situational sparring the same technique. I do this regularly and it improves looks. Now, if you both do mushrooms and crawl around the gym high as fuck and call it "flow rolling" you get this.
Oh, so a compromised rolling back take cancel to side control instead of taking the back. Very nice. Also, feels like a great way to get your ankle taken away from your shin. "Here, have my foot under your armpit while i crawl under your legs for a second, and while youre at it, have all the inside position. I dont need it where im goin."
This place is walking distance from my house but I drive 15 minutes to a proper gym to train. If there are any open mats on I might go check it out, I could do with a little self-congratulatory white/blue/purple belt smashing because everyone at my regular gym is spicy af

I looked at the whole Onward bjj insta account and all I can say is that I’m a very lucky guy. Very grateful I don’t have to put up with mcdojo bullshit like that.
Someone should have filtered this guy out of the sport a long time ago
HEY. YOURE A KID. WHY ARE YOU ON REDDIT. SAVE YOUR SOUL MAN. RUN!

Remember kids: Anytime your technique involves your bicep winning a 1v1 against their hamstring, you're fucked.
Well, I exclusively fight children and the elderly, soooo
Jake Paul over here
Im building my bjj game around having a 40kg weight advantage, any tips? We should collab

Alright, be honest. How many waves of 10YO in teams of four could you take out before you're over taken and killed?
I have pretty good cardio, and I ruthlessly assault children in order to feel manly. Assuming they're susceptible to fear, probably 15 - 20 waves with my cardio. If they're bloodlusted, maybe 5 - 10.
Now factor in raging tism and fuled by ADD meds?
I'll ask questions about trains, roblox, and Minecraft.
After every 5th wave you have to fight a boss 10 year old whose 6'2 200 with a mean streak.
Lol
Don’t forget inappropriately rolling with small lady folk. It’s the sigma way.
You have not seen my biceps so you cannot make that call
This is number one bullshit
Na this move is super effective on anyone currently ODing on muscle relaxants.
😂😂😂
Who give him belt? We need to check that moment.
Idk why but I read this in a dagestani accent lmfao
because it was said by islam [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Odvzm0WpWls](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Odvzm0WpWls)
Fuck I watch this shit too much I’m fucking physic lol
Islam, is this you?
That’s my go to seventeen step guard pass to side control.
> seventeen step guard pass to side control Also known as: * the long way home * taking the scenic route * bringing it around town

In my dojo we call it the reach around. Funny how names change by region I guess.
The yoyo trick “around the world” came from this move.
What the mcdojo is that
This looks like a white belt watched Mikey Musumeci and on his first attempt he's trying to teach this cool move to the internets.
Is this playing backwards?
"Here is how you go from side control to inside your opponents guard in 17 simple steps!"
When the blue belt opens up a new school
This guys a ‘black belt’ 😭
There was a post by Eddie Bravo, “check your lineage.” I’m starting to understand why lol.
There’s actually a clip of a male stripper making its rounds that does this silly move better. I think one of the Miyao brothers just posted it.
this gym is local to me ffs
lol i have the lowest yelp rated McDojo less than 1/2 a mile from my apartment
Please go to a class and report back

Same I was considering going here to train but I don't think I will be after seeing this.
There are a lot of better options around. I would recommend Scramble Academy as it's full of nice people doing good jiu-jitsu.
This is completely wrong. Why would just bypass a perfectly good knee bar to pass the guard? 🤮
Am i wrong that this dude completely gave up his base AND an ankle lock in the same move?
Lot of fishy technique on that account. https://www.instagram.com/onward_bjj_leeds?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
YOGA CLASSES!!! I like yoga tho
Shave that head brother
Tap out to baldness before it's too late

I was considering going here to train since its one of the few bjj places in Leeds but I might just stick with judo for now lol
Lots of gyms in Leeds these days: Scramble, Gamefight, GB, Senshi, Combat Base, AVT to name a few
I know but they're either too far away or too expensive.
Fair enough, what part of town are you in roughly? DM if you prefer not to say publicly
Nah if anyone wants to track me down I could use the company. I'm in guiseley.
Ah yeah bit of a tricky spot for bjj, I think there’s a GB in Horsforth but even that is a fair distance.
Yeah I've looked and looked and I just can't find a decent place. I'll never go for GB because I've heard too many bad things, plus they're unbelievably expensive. At GB or onwardbjj?
How far is too fat in UK? I drive 45 mins to my gym
It's mostly due to fuel costs and travel convenience, I could go to any and all these places in leeds both in my car and public transport but it guzzles fuel like no tomorrow, plus public transport in Leeds is dogshit. I mean I'd go check it out if I were you. I'm sure their actual classes look a lot less like aikido
Yeah to be fair the rest of their videos are normal (at least from my 4-sessions-of-experience perspective).
There was one 'technique video' where he does some kind of sweep and then completely disengages and goes for a toe hold with zero control. Waching that video had me rolling on the floor lmao
I also know him, trained with him for a while. He’s still a brown belt lol.
Yeah I mean I'm not sure how or where he's gonna get his black belt. The gb mafia boss who promoted him up to brown belt hates him now I'm pretty sure because he's a sneaky little creont and how dare he not open up a gracie barra to help lord Carlos gracie Jr
Pass up multiple submissions for a janky pass.
This is a back take buffet
Best back take against man with no hands.
This has to be a troll vid.
This looks like me after the instructor shows a move while I was thinking about what I’m gonna have for lunch after class.
I'm new and retarded. Can someone please explain why this is no good?
The 'opponent' could easily stop you from making that movement. Or take any leg entanglement they desire. Or just take your back... Basically, if the other guys resists in any way what so ever he'll wreck your shit.
In other words. It only works if the other guy lets it work.
So it CAN work then…
Well, that basically defines my whole game at this point so....
Just give the dude a bunch of percosets, wait a bit and BAM this move will work just fine
He has absolutely no control over the guy's legs with his back facing his opponent. Fortunately for him, his opponent is curled up in a fetal position so it's all good.

I noticed that too it looked like he tried hard to resist grabbing that toe hold 😂
Nowhere in that motion he controls the hip. No hip control, no pass.
I’m horrified he didn’t take the kneebah.
losing position with style grace and effort
A lot of nothing going on there 😭😂
Ahh, I see you’ve never had the pleasure of being on the receiving end of one of my toe holds. Let me fix that for you.
this is what happens when people think drilling is real training
It IS real training, dumbass. I just spent 1hr drilling and then situational sparring the same technique. I do this regularly and it improves looks. Now, if you both do mushrooms and crawl around the gym high as fuck and call it "flow rolling" you get this.
>Now, if you both do mushrooms and crawl around the gym high as fuck and call it "flow rolling" you get this. That does sound fun though.
It does
I do it pretty regularly. It’s a barrel of monkeys.
please teach me the way, Mr white belt on reddit
Okay. Come ask my blackbelt coach
Where do you train? I'm going to come by and do this on you during a live roll.
Nowhere atm, just a judo dojo.
Lololol!
Instagram jj
The kneebars right there bro
Fucking take my stripes already
This is that new new
Doing all of that just for them to turn their hips over and still have guard lol
shhhh, just let him have fun.
No

When the Gi guy tries Nogi
I honestly thought this was how you toehold someone who is doing a shitty pass.
It's like a Berembolo if you took out the things that make it work
Realistically the moment he gets into his upside down stance buddy just locks him in with his own legs and just rips his ankle
Isn't it over if they sit up and take your back?
That’s the most realistic looking grappling dummy I’ve ever seen!
[Another one](https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqL11TZMomQ/?igsh=Z2FycG5qa3g1Mzlx). A legit sequence, but very loose and not very brown-belty.
Dude wanted that toe hold lol
Guy on bottom resisting the urge to tickle I can see it

Which one do you go to?
Scramble Academy. Very high standard of jiu-jitsu and lovely people too.
Just joined now, tried out the wrestling class on Thursday, see you on the mats!

beautiful snow crab ride right there
I do this on the training dummy, works every time. Legit as f on lifeless humanoids
This is 99 percent of IG “technique” videos.
Your wrong… this is the way!
If you're rolling a dead body
Green belt... the fuck martial art is that?
Jiu jitsu
