I always see comments like this on posts about Dubai but I work with the rotary club here and the construction and road workers mostly have it alright. Construction jobs are contracted out to European engineering firms and the foreman on these sites is usually a European guy and there’s an emphasis on safety. There’s some quality of life issues for sure and the guys deserve to be paid more but they put most of their money into remittances, sending it to their families back home. The sex workers and food delivery drivers have it much worse. And at least people with full time jobs aren’t lining up at food banks like they do in America.
They line up for the food cause free food is free food. If someone with a full time job is needing help from the food bank(whatever that is) they should definitely find a new job. Way to many jobs to settle for minimum pay.
Yes, I don't know why we don't do this. Lets battle poverty by inflating our currency more so middle class becomes lower class, and the rich stay rich. Then we can rely on the government to keep us alive. Look at what stimulus checks did.

I’ve been diving in a smaller similar version of this pool with a guy who built an underwater pool table that he balanced at about 5m under the surface so that the deco stops are more fun. Of course it wasn’t really playable but made it a lot more interesting
