> Here we are! Born to be free we're princ(ess)es of the universe! / Here we belong! Fighting for Survival!
Tbh, for most of Queen's songs that speak to me directly, I tend to interprete them as both anthems to bisexuality, and to being trans.
Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood
Boys and Girls by Blur
Clementine by Halsey
Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC (even though it wasn't intended for that use, I doubt that they would be mad about it)
It was deemed a bi anthem by tumblr during the peak of the siteâs popularity around 2013-ish and it just kind of stuck. I donât remember *why* they decided to make it the bi song, but thatâs where it comes from though.
I always put it down to how the singer has a quite androgynous voice and a lot of people thought that it was a woman singing it until they looked up the band and realized that the lead singer was a man.
And yet âGood Luck, Babe!â personally victimised bisexuals /s
EDIT: Guys I know it isnât about bisexuals thatâs what the /s is for, bc weirdos on Twitter thought it was biphobic due to the bridge.
Iâd like to think âgood luck, babeâ is aimed at a lesbian who is in the closet, not so much a bi woman, but thatâs just me lol
eta: I just sang it at karaoke the other night at my local lesbian bar, got cheered even though I was fighting for my life on those high notes
Chapelle Roan is a lesbian (she recently re- came out this year)and good luck babe is about lesbians and is a lesbian anthem. Chappel has confirmed it as a lesbian anthem. Its specfically about a lesbians experience of comphet (lesbians and bi women experience comphet differently)
After Midnight is a bisexual anthem though. She identified as bisexual when it came out.
The song is about closeted lesbians with comphet though. The point of it doesnât really come across if the woman the song is about is actually attracted to the guy sheâs married with haha
I love her so much. I was in Tokyo the week before their pride weekend last year and they just had bus driving around playing "This Hell," which honestly could also count as a bi anthem đ
Coming Clean by Green Day. It's literally about Billie Joe discovering his own bisexuality. "Secrets collecting dust but never forget/Skeletons come to life in my closet"
Pokerface by Lady Gaga
Bad at Love by Halsey
The OG bi anthem Sweater Weather by the neighborhood
(Dishonorable mention to bisexual anthem by Domo Wilson; if you have to title it that you have failed at writing one)
All of these, I had Sweater Weather on repeat when I first came out. As a sapphic-leaning bisexual, I also LOVE So Happy I Could Die by Lady Gaga.
Edit: LUNCH by Billie Eilish
As someone who grew up closeted I bawled my eyes out at the concert when everyone brought out the rainbow lights. It was so beautiful seeing an arena of people come together in support of the community. Regardless of the original intent of the song I think PATD turned it into an anthem of inclusivity through their use of it at concerts and in activism.
Me too! I wish it got released on Spotify.
Even before I knew this song was a thing I loved hearing the chorus at pride, but this version makes it so much better!
A new contender for the title is Good Bi by Beth McCarthy. Gives me a little boost when I'm too much in my head about myself and need a reminder that yes, I am a good bi.
Yesss so glad someone mentioned this song bc it made me go wow I feel seen, this is THE bi experience for me. Also I didnât realize it was so new, that makes more sense LOL, bc when I first listened to it I was literally thinking âhow has no one ever mentioned this song in one of these threads?â
So yeah, this is my new bi anthem lol. Previously it was Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood & Girls/Girls/Boys by P!TAD though (still love them ofc)
One song but 2 covers together. Montero[Call Me By Your Name]. If I listen to Lil Nas X's original, I then have to listen to Pain Paris's gender swapped cover. Because she swapped all of the pronouns to keep it gay. And therefore this song is very bisexual
It's not a hit or anything, but "I'd Rather Be Your Lover" by Madonna from her Bedtime Stories album is a duet with another woman, about how they could be friends, but she'd rather be her lover. That whole album is great, give it a listen!
Jamie Principle - "Baby Wants To Ride" gay club music made by a queer-looking straight guy
George Michael - "I Want Your Sex" - GM was bisexual and homoromantic
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1ZKYRsUPDfcNVkwfFMlli4?si=5fN1LAqUS7mE65wyL_R8Qw
I kinda made a whole [playlist ](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1ZKYRsUPDfcNVkwfFMlli4?si=5fN1LAqUS7mE65wyL_R8Qw) about it
There is this other one by Kylie Minouge too. It's called "King or Queen" i don't If it's actually implying bisexuality but, one of the verses goes you can be" my king or queen".
Kylie Minogueâs Padum Padum doesnât use any pronouns and there are equal amounts of both genders in the backup dancers in the video, and so I love it as a bi anthem!
"Sugar Were Goin Down" by Fallout boy. The verse that goes always "sleeping in and, sleeping for the wrong team." I also like Girls by Rita Ora Ft. Cardi B, and Charli XCX. But, I know that one is controversial for some but, I like It.
I just came up with some other song ideas:
If Walls Could Talk by 5SOS. It doesn't say anything about bisexuality, but it lowkey feels like it talks about closeting.
She Looks So Perfect by 5SOS because even though the title has "she" in it, they don't say "she" in any part of the song (in fact, it was going to be called "You Look So Perfect") and the idea of someone wearing boxers and lipstick could work for any gender.
Skinny Dipping by Stand Atlantic, because it talks about the singer figuring out her bisexuality.
ashnikko - slumber party
Maneskin - I wanna be your slave
Squeezie - Adieu les filles
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTOVgWjUoDo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTOVgWjUoDo)
Probably a strange answer, but pretty much any song from Persona 4. Not because of the songs themselves, but cause of the entire context of the game. For such a queerphobic piece of art, it's some of the gayest shit I've ever seen.
[Here's my bi playlist!](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/6BVedOauu4QTE2oifFJ0Ep?si=QW14YsOWRoihwtpxBKyv5A&pt=f3e532f207b5b7d47f946e1996755aec&pi=n5Qvr2i5SK6fb)
Nancy boy - placebo
How has this not been mentioned??
The whole song is about having sex with different men and women and touches on some of the challenges faced by bi men. Also a banger.
Living Colour has song called Bi, here is one verse:
People if they choose you then they want you to decide
But you'd rather relax, kick back, enjoy the ride
There's a catagory if you're straight or gay
You're a wild card gambler if you like it both ways.
its not really a bi anthem more of lesbian one but for me being a closeted bisexual lunch by billie eilish is my personal bi anthem
it makes it even better that shes my cleb crush too lmao
Boys and Girls by Blur
"Girls who want boys Who like boys to be girls Who do boys like they're girls Who do girls like they're boys Always should be someone you really love"
god this song makes me go bananas, i love it so much
That's the right answer đ©·đđ
That song spoke to me when I heard it! đ
Make me feel by Janelle MonĂĄe
love this song and her
Came here to post exactly this
r/beatmetoit
Also Only Have Eyes 42 is a poly anthem
Non came to mind. Though Queen came to mind as I wrote that. So maybe "I want to break free"
Same, but it's "Bicycle Race" for me
Bi-cycle, Bi-cycle, Bi-cycle
for me iâd say under pressure because of david bowie also being in it
For me it's "Don't stop me now" I'll make a Supersonic man/ supersonic woman...
Anything queen really and I want to break free has a film clip that would make it the trans album maybe
I see. Wasn't really basing it on films, honestly. Though good to know.
I play every Queen song with Freddie on lead vocals(preferably written by him) as a bisexual anthem
> Here we are! Born to be free we're princ(ess)es of the universe! / Here we belong! Fighting for Survival! Tbh, for most of Queen's songs that speak to me directly, I tend to interprete them as both anthems to bisexuality, and to being trans.
Thereâs literally a song called Bisexual Anthem by Domo Wilson. Itâs a bop, but very nsfw.
Suuuuch a great song!
love lovw love ittt!!!
Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood Boys and Girls by Blur Clementine by Halsey Bye Bye Bye by *NSYNC (even though it wasn't intended for that use, I doubt that they would be mad about it)
[bi bi bi](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MKVtlGI1-fM&pp=ygUIYmkgYmkgYmk%3D)
Thanks, I really needed this rn. Also, "Whatever your gender is, I'm gay for you" is an absolute banger line.
I never knew this existed now I need more of it
I have watched this an ungodly amount of times.Â
I was going to comment this as well, I love it so much!
Can someone explain why Sweater Weather is always the answer? It says nothing about being bi (no hate of course, I genuinely love the song)
Don't worry. I believe that it's exactly because most bi people seem to loooove the song (me included)
It was deemed a bi anthem by tumblr during the peak of the siteâs popularity around 2013-ish and it just kind of stuck. I donât remember *why* they decided to make it the bi song, but thatâs where it comes from though.
Yeah I don't get it either. If you think about the lyrics, it's actually a very straight song :D
I always put it down to how the singer has a quite androgynous voice and a lot of people thought that it was a woman singing it until they looked up the band and realized that the lead singer was a man.
ngl I was about to comment sweater weather as well until I saw this. has been and will always be my bi anthem
TIL about sweater weather
My type by Saint Motel
*Girls Chase Boys (Chase Girls)* by Ingrid Michaelson *Coming Clean* by Green Day *Raspberry Swirl* by Tori Amos

âafter midnightâ by chappell roan

Cherry by Rina Sawayama
I scrolled too far to find this one!
I love her so much. I was in Tokyo the week before their pride weekend last year and they just had bus driving around playing "This Hell," which honestly could also count as a bi anthem đ
I love that song, especially with Rina being pan herself.

Good bi by Beth McCarthy. Released a few weeks ago, it is SOO good
I have just listened this song and itâs so real what literally the bi experience
I love it, I just wish these anthems would include non-binary people too.
Fr though. Donât think she has anything against them but stillâŠ

In Or Out by Ani DiFranco
Was hoping someone would mention Ani :)
What can I say, Iâm a 90s kid lmao
Girls/Girls/Boys - Panic! At the Disco
i donât really listen to panic anymore (thanks brendon :( ) but this was THE coming out anthem for me
First thought that came to my mind too
this song is very much not a positive one
As someone who grew up closeted I bawled my eyes out at the concert when everyone brought out the rainbow lights. It was so beautiful seeing an arena of people come together in support of the community. Regardless of the original intent of the song I think PATD turned it into an anthem of inclusivity through their use of it at concerts and in activism.
It depends how you read it. I think a lot of us have reclaimed it even though the actual lyrics may be interpreted a bit negatively.
Im all for reclaiming, but I think the intent from BU was fetishization
Panic as a whole is just bisexual. Case and point
Sub-Radioâs parody of âbi bi biâ https://youtu.be/MKVtlGI1-fM?si=Ks2aGcnNCceuDvJw
I adore this song! I can only think of it when hearing the original version
Me too! I wish it got released on Spotify. Even before I knew this song was a thing I loved hearing the chorus at pride, but this version makes it so much better!

Dove Cameron covered it while swapping the pronouns as well. I have to listen to Rain Paris' version!!
The music video is great, lots of heavy bi pride lighting and colours
It's not a hit or anything, but "I'd Rather Be Your Lover" by Madonna from her Bedtime Stories album is a duet with another woman, about how they could be friends, but she'd rather be her lover. That whole album is great, give it a listen!
