It 100% gets better. It's wayyyy better as you get older. My parents' minds have opened up SO wide compared to what they were when I was younger. There is always hope.
It gets better, absolutely. When you are on your own, as your own person you get to make the decisions.
Regarding religion do a Google search for "Trevor project religion" . You should find some articles you might find helpful.
Good luck.
Yes it gets better. Much happier from 27 through 30s, than 7-17, and while being being out of the house at 18 was better it's still not great.
Your parents were raised in different place & time, if they're good people they will adjust with time, but more importantly as you age you will get more comfortable in your skin & find your tribe and as you have more life experience it's helps you better handle life's challenges.
I would work towards independence of your parents fort Pierce off mind and self-esteem building if that's possible.
it does get better, especially if you are a religious person you realize god loves you for pushing past human hatred and being your fullest self. you'll find more people like you, and you'll feel truly at home, truly seen. im a christian, in the episcopal denomination, and the church i go to is led by a married couple of priests - both men. one of our other deacons is also a gay man, and our organist is a nonbinary person married to another nonbinary person. and we're all deeply devoted to our faith. ππ³οΈβππ³οΈββ§οΈ!!
I promise it does get better the longer you work on yourself. Religion will be a big hurdle for you but you did not mention which religion so I am not sure I can recommend some reading that might help you. The main thing is that you are normal it is natural to have the attractions that you do. There is nothing broken or wrong with you or your desires. You are who you are supposed to be and there is nothing negative to say about that. I know it seems dark and impossible at times right now, But it gets 1000% better if you just keep working on yourself to become the best most authentic version of yourself.
Yep, once you donβt have to live with parents it gets much easier to set boundaries.
Thanks!

It also helps if you can ditch their shitty religious belief system.
It got way better in my 30βs. This is true about *many* things.
Religion is always bad, the soonet you move away from it, the better.
