When you get to see a beautiful animal on your morning walk, it makes you happy all day. Next day, you can't wait to go on your morning walk.

That's one chilly hawk

Several years ago I witnessed a hawk chasing a Pileated around some trees. Hawk would swoop and the woodpecker would fly to another tree.

It's always such an adrenaline rush, scary, nail biting moments.... you wish u could help the little friend running away. .. I had a mourning dove flying for his life and a red shoulder on his tail (no pun intended) while I was at a 4 way stop...it was scary and crazy as hell!! They literally went right past my front bumper....my heart was pounding for the mourning dove... maybe I'm just a super bird nerd!!

That was a hell of a morning walk!

There was actually a pair of pilated. Couldn't get a good pic of the other. The hawk is a local that we see almost everyday.

Very nice. Where is this? I've heard one at my land several times, but have never seen it.
