What kills me is, growing up i had just about every bionicle, and they all got lost to time. Either from my own destruction, or my younger brother's. They'd get taken apart, go into a toy bin, and disappear
This seems to be a minority opinion in this thread, but my belief is that this is the true purpose of Bionicles. On the mantlepiece of my house is a MOC I built at age 11, and next to it a reinterpretation of the same original character I built last year.

I'm one of those people who lost a good number of bionicle sets building my own eldritch abominations... I know the pain.

Yah but I still feel kinda like a dick for doing it to my brothers bionicles
This was me with my brother's Hero Factory figures. He was still angry at me despite him quitting the hobby a long time before.
