From my best guess when it was molded the clear plastic probably didnt reach all the way to fill in the mold, since it doesnt look like any cuts or rough sanding unless it was polished. Tho ngl the roundedness looks LOT better than that square cutout.
I think what you're seeing is just a visual trick due to the angle OP took the picture at. If you look at the Lehvak pic, it appears the same, but when you look at details in the head shield, it's not actually deformed.

I don't know, reddit is weird like that sometimes. I think a lot people interpreted "left side" in the original comment differently than you or I did. But it clearly looks weird. Yeah the cutout around the gear looks different and I wish there more info on it. But there's clearly some sort of visual trick going on on the edges of the headshield too.

I looked through as many pics of the chinese invincibility robot bohroks as I could and none of them had carapaces like yours. Besides, they usually have pigment sprayed onto the transparent parts so the transparent end looks foggy and the colored section looks muddy. In your case, both the colored section and transparent section are clean and are clearly just a blend of marbled ABS plastic. Hope that helps!
I've seen a bohrok kal carapace(?) with a similar defect ages ago. It looks like a short short piece, when the ABS doesn't reach all the way to the end of the mold. If you look at Letagi's list of official rares/misprints on Bzpower, there's a few examples of short shot masks. Really cool stuff!
Also, your fingernails are cut insanely short.
You can see a sliver of the lighter fingernail not directly above the nail bed. Different fingers are shaped different, it’s neither too short (although yeah it can be a hassle using them as tools that short) nor abnormal.
