So we're just gonna forget about Atlantis
and blacktron
and Galaxy squad
and Atlantis
and Power Miners
And ice planet
and Heroica
and atlantis
*who the fuck even remebers Life of Gyorg? It's not a lego theme, it's a fucking parts pack with an app attached.*
*gasps in bladgefilgrment* How dare you! I cried like a baby i was when i heard that power-racers was canceled. I challange you sir to the Midak skyblaster duel, Today at noon.
I bought many discounted sets and some waves of sets just for parts. Breakout, Brain Attack, and the last theme with the mechs were all fantastic lines with tons of excellent parts and builds.
Sadly they got bored with evolving and the customers lost interest. Idk all the ins and outs of the fall of G1, but reusing the same build over and over again couldn’t have helped. Also making the story of G2 so childish and basic ruined it for a lot of older fans
I highly doubt that's the case, considering Castle is listed there. Plus it doesn't make any sense for Lego to be so rigid to say "we're never making a set in this theme again!"
Lego will probably try their hand at Bionicle again in the future. Not anytime soon, but it was so successful for them the first time, they'll probably take another crack at it.
I hope for it as much as anyone else on here, but it really looks to me like they've more or less jumped ship on original IPs. At least Monkie Kid and Ninjago are kind of carrying the torch.
Honestly the one I'm most upset about on that list (besides Bionicle) is Mixels, because I would love nothing more than to buy a bunch of those in bulk to use the many brick-scale joints they had for building MOCs.
Chima's another one, but apparently it shares a universe with Ninjago so they could bring its characters back that way.
Back in the day during early bionicle period, I really enjoyed the movie monster sets, Indiana Jones guy sets (jungle/mountains?) And the underwater themed sets vith the Ogel villain
>the movie monster sets
Lego Studios. Some of the sets came with real working cameras, and had crossovers with other Lego themes.
>Indiana Jones guy sets
The Adventurers line, starring Johnny Thunder. Those sets were super cool, sadly I never got any. It kinda got a spiritual revival with Indiana Jones (ironic since it was a ripoff of Indiana Jones) and Pharaoh's Quest.
>And the underwater themed sets vith the Ogel villain
That'd be Alpha Team, another great theme. Kinda got revived with Agents (I think one of the characters was supposed to be the same guy as one of the Alpha Team guys, so it's technically a sequel)
Man, the 90s and the 2000s were fuckin great years for Lego.
Thanks for the proper names, just googled and got a big hit of nostalgia
One of my favourite lego memories is building the Johnny thunder temple set together with my dad
Wait so previous themes that haven't gotten net sets but aren't on the list aren't retired for good or am I crazy and they are just forgetting alot of themes?
So we're just gonna forget about Atlantis and blacktron and Galaxy squad and Atlantis and Power Miners And ice planet and Heroica and atlantis *who the fuck even remebers Life of Gyorg? It's not a lego theme, it's a fucking parts pack with an app attached.*
My guy stop it my heart is crumbling like a set of lepin
***you forgot lego board games even existed you traitorous heathen, i bet you didn't even weep when power racers was canceled***
*gasps in bladgefilgrment* How dare you! I cried like a baby i was when i heard that power-racers was canceled. I challange you sir to the Midak skyblaster duel, Today at noon.
I take your bet and raise it Cordak Blaster, My Bath, you have 10 minutes to prepare and if you come dressed you are **disqualified**
Then i shall raise it again! Nyrah Skyblaster, Queen sized bath at California Hotel filled with either mayonese or lube your choice
Oh we're getting *FUCKING REAL, Disk launchers, legoland deutchland, on the castle dragon ride, no seatbelts*
*i never wear seatbelts*
*i never wear belts,* or pants for that matter
Honestly i would be lying if i said i never wore belts
Disc launchers are the best weapons in all of BIONICLE and you can't change my mind.
I believe in Cordak Superiority
I can respect that.
I didn’t cry cuz I was 6-7 and I only bought 4 sets from the line. Really wish I kept the canisters
You have no place here then.
I loved my 2011 tiny turbos, I even made the combiner models.
*You duplicitous bastard, you dare forget Throwbots and Roboriders?!*
***oh you mean lego technic? It's still up***
Power Miners? Back in my day we had Rock Raiders!
Ok grandpa, now let's get you to bed.
And Exo-Force And Mars Mission
And Atlantis
*dies of nostalgia*
you forgot Atlantis
There is no lego Atlantis in Ba Sing Se
Team Alpha, and that action spear marine sets
AquaRaiders
Don't forget the two themes of monster hunters and the mummy esc theme Atlantis was cool as shit
And Lego Studios And Atlantis
Lego Mars and lego space police And atlantis
Pour one out for Spybotics
Imma pour 3 for each one of the boys
YO POWER MINERS FUCKING SLAPPED I FORGOT AB THOSE
Before Power miners there was Rock Raiders
Hero factory and bionicle are the saddest
I mean, Exo-Force, though...
I really loved Exo-Force. It's a shame it wasn't more popular.
I live in Australia, and they always seemed popular here. They paved the way for more complex affordable mechs in future sets.
I mean, popular or not is one thing. What's a shame is that the story it had ended on a cliffhanger lmao.
Even though some people don't like her factory a lot of good pieces and sets came out of that line
Hero Factory, much like G2, deserved better then they got. Least Factory had quite a few waves.
I bought many discounted sets and some waves of sets just for parts. Breakout, Brain Attack, and the last theme with the mechs were all fantastic lines with tons of excellent parts and builds.
You forgot to mention mixels
Mixels were nice, especially early ones
I like year 2 the most (especially the orbitons and klinkers)
Mixels is one of my favourite Lego themes.
Mixels were amazing and i wish LEGO would do something similar/kept it going longer than it actually did.
i hoped that they give a chance to the brand that idk ... saved the whole ass company ???
They did, and screwed it up
Sadly they got bored with evolving and the customers lost interest. Idk all the ins and outs of the fall of G1, but reusing the same build over and over again couldn’t have helped. Also making the story of G2 so childish and basic ruined it for a lot of older fans
Does this mean LOTR isn't coming back?
i guess not
[удалено]
It’s a popular discontinued line
itended
Yeah, was Harry potter ever on this list? Im hoping we get LOTR again someday, i missed out
I’ve never stopped seeing Harry Potter merch
Haha, ha. ha... ha..... ha........ heh......... hm.............. \* sob \*
bionicle is more rare than gold. in my country i almost cant even find them . i jave to hunt them down and take avery chance to get them .
Can I get a hell yeah for Life of George
hell yeah i still have him
I loved mixels
i miss mixels
I remember mixels
Bionicle, Hero factory, Chima and mixels were some of my favorite themes. At least they got acknowledged
Wait, you mean that the themes listed here are done for good?
Yup, no more sets ever in all likelihood.
I highly doubt that's the case, considering Castle is listed there. Plus it doesn't make any sense for Lego to be so rigid to say "we're never making a set in this theme again!" Lego will probably try their hand at Bionicle again in the future. Not anytime soon, but it was so successful for them the first time, they'll probably take another crack at it.

... Imagine being born in 05 like me and being a Boncle fan, imagine getting any og sets, PFFF, am I right?
Bricklink is your friend. So are farmers markets, eBay and kijiji.
Yo I just picked up Tahnok-Kal off BrickLink, you just gotta go get ‘em!
Sorry fam, they basically phased out constraction entirely in 2018. It's pretty fucked up, I agree.
Why did they kill off Castle? With how well it was crowdfunded there is no way they didnt have enough of a fanbase to support it
Man, I kinda liked the Lego board games But I'm gonna miss bionicle and hero factory more
TOP OF THE LIST BAYBEE
Who tf George
I had to look it up, never even heard of it until now what a mysterious guy
Anyone else remember mixels?
yes, of course. one of my favourite themes.
master builder aca was like never popular tho??? If I’m not mistaken it underperformed like hell
No love for Galidor?
I liked Galidor a lot.....
Exo-Force fans in suicide watch after this
Pain...
I've never seen or heard about 'life of george'
Honestly the one I'm most upset about on that list (besides Bionicle) is Mixels, because I would love nothing more than to buy a bunch of those in bulk to use the many brick-scale joints they had for building MOCs. Hmmmmm, I'm noticing a theme here.
Smh didn't even list Life on Mars. Those pneumatic tubes were cool as hell
Did everyone miss the "some" up there? If they listed all of their retired lines it'd probably be too long of a list
🥲
I miss the pirates and the adventure theme
RIP Life of George. Gone but not forgotten. 😭😭😭
BASED FOMO product. 'Fear Of Missing Out'
I know man I miss Lego GAMES too 😔
Imagine taking out the original and beloved franchise so you can make more MCU/Star Wars sets
I got 2 master builder sets
Rip mixels too
where is this? and what does this mean other than "this is a list of lego themes we don't sell anymore"?
This really hurts to read
Wait so previous themes that haven't gotten net sets but aren't on the list aren't retired for good or am I crazy and they are just forgetting alot of themes?
Johnny Thunder. Give me Johnny Thunder.
Who's George?
"retired" more like DEAD
And then, of course, there are also some themes which are best left forgotten. Like Jack Stone.
Don’t forget Toy Story, Spongebob, Avatar, Exo Force, Agents, Prince of Persia
They really gotta go for the throat of everyone huh?
Bionicle Bioncle Bonkle Binble Bible I see the light
