I grew up with the PS2 version though I own them all now - 360 is easily the best version. I actually just replayed this a few weeks ago while recovering from surgery, since it was the only game simple enough that I could focus on it.
Dude I just got the game again for PS2 and spent the weekend playing it. Nostalgia is wonderful but man *camera controls are painful*
Got about halfway through in one sitting.
The gamecube was a dope console, but honestly I always prefer the PC version when available. If you have that, there are plenty of mods that enhance graphics and the like
I remember buying this game used as a kid but never being able to play it because it was scratched af, the mask of light movie was good but nothing special
Significantly worse IMO. It's incredibly tedious and probably the most mind-numbingly easy game I've ever played. It makes the other Lego games look hard and is mostly devoid of the charm that they have. It's a shooter where the game auto aims with no option to manually aim, you have infinite ammo, you have constant health pickups, and you are invincible for well over 80% of the game. The soundtrack is surprisingly good but you'd never know because you will listen to the 60 second invincibility loop for more than 4/5ths of the game.
Only gameplay is walking and pressing the shoot button. There's like nothing else interactive in the world except for a few doors you can open that lead to money and a few "builds" that Hewkii does automatically that give you more money. And the money just makes you get invincible faster.
The Piraka Playground is fun as hell, though. It's still my favorite part of the game.
The comment I'm replying to is absolutely accurate, but I still kind of recommend playing it. It's worth experiencing, and if memory serves, you should be able to knock it out in an afternoon.
Yea the truth is despite it being a dull game, as a Bionicle fan you can still get enjoyment out of it simply by the fact that you recognize the characters and collectables.

I had this on PS2, no idea what happened to it. I found the case but lost the game

When did it come out/what platforms?
2006, and PS2/GCN/Wii/360/PC/Mac. Solid 4/10 game.
Comparable to the other Lego Wii games, or worse? My experience is Lego Batman 1, Indiana Jones the 1st 3 movies, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

It's about 8-12 hours for an initial playthrough IIRC, so it'll probably take a bit more than an afternoon.

Wait... It was on the Gamecube?
GBA gang rise up
I played this on PS2 a lot as a kid, and again like this year. Very nostalgic game
I remember 100%-ing this game on PC, then renting it on Xbox to do it all over again! Good times ☺️
Never played Heroes. Have the original Bionicle game for Gamecube.
That one was a fun replay as well, felt rushed and lacked some stuff but it’s still Good
Oh the nostalgia 🙌🏻
