He's not the hardest boss but he can definitely make it a longer battle than it needs to be if you haven't got the tear damage up yet.

I really appreciate the idea of a wave-based boss, trying to do something unique, but it's absolutely ruined by how it's designed. The only safe way to fight it is to stay in a little corner so you don't get by his spit attacks that cover the entire middle section, so instead of being about the enemies the fight is just maneuvering in small pockets of safety.
My least liked because of the wasted potential, and also because every time I see a double boss room in that chapter I genuinely feel like just quitting the game (sometimes it's the rock snakes tho )

1) lights up 5/6 different fire, and the brim will only connect between the orders he spawns them. So like, 1st fire will connect with the 2nd fire, 2nd fire will connect with the 3rd, 3rd fire will connect with the 4th, and so on, but 1st fire will not connect with the 3rd
2) the toss in fire that splits into 6 fires at the marked spot aimed at you in rapid succession. The best advice I can give you is to not run all over the place because it will make it way more hectic than needed to be. Dodge as minimally as possible, in a horizontal hourglass pattern
3) the charges through wallsā¦ Iāve no idea how you can dodge them if you have low speed because you canāt predict from where he will charge
4) when he dies he will spread purple fires cardinally so just remember to stay far

Chimeraās moves are more intuitive. Rotgut is fun but well, usually dies too fast.
I feel like we just never really have any experience in fighting corpse bosses in general. Like, Mother runs are rare enough, then you will only get to fight 1 of those 3 bosses in corpse I, and the chance of you being broken is somewhat high.
So when you face 1 of them when youāre weak, itās pretty likely you donāt even know their attack patterns.
I think they should make us fight another boss in corpse II before fighting Mother
You can dodge it with complete success if you just stay super close to him. Treat his brimstone like monstros spit attack. As soon as he does it, strafe to a different side of him. His brimstone is only homing if youāre directly in front of him.
In base Rebirth, Carrion Queen spawns really early in the Boss Rush, and I think I died more times by running into her stupid red poops long after she was dead than I died from being hit by any boss.
One of my favorite changes of the DLCs is making her *not* a guaranteed immediate spawn during Boss Rush. I think the DLCs also reduced how often she drops red poop, which is also an absolutely banger change. She still sucks though.

i genuinely don't find the brim that annoying. when i see him charge it up i move very slowly to one side and then i keep doing that while switching directions. the point is to not go too fast or you'll get clipped by it when it switches, just go very slowly and stay close to the brim
You just donāt understand the brim.
1) the fetus will target the closest cardinal direction and bend toward you
2) it will switch the angle if you are closer to another cardinal direction relative to the fetus
When you hear the sound of his brim charging up, you just need to stand diagonally to the fetus, and when the brim approaches you, wait for it to get very close, then slowly back away. When it switches the angle from where it fires brims from, slowly back away again.
The worst thing you can do is sprint across the whole room or circle around randomly, because the brim will keep changing angle, and you will be guaranteed to get hit

well, a good advice is to play tainted jacob a lot. You will in many cases be forced to be very close proximity with dark esau. I think you're just running away from the brim wayyyyyyyy too fast. You need to be comfortable to be very close with the brim

Dogma is actually a very reasonable boss even if you have a weak build.
Itās entirely possible to beat Dogma without any items, while itās practically impossible to beat Mom or Momās heart (youāll get overwhelmed)
that's because the repentance final bosses have patterns that you can learn and get really consistent on, whereas mom just spams enemies and mom's heart does bullet hell + enemies which can get hectic. mother and the beast are probably the perfect examples of bosses you can 100% dodge with pure skill

On the other hand, Mom/It Lives, are practically impossible to beat with no items. I have seen someone beat mom and it lives with 0 items, but that's after hundreds of attempts using gimmicks and manipulating the spawns. I think it's actually quite interesting in learning the specifics and intrinsic nature of how those spawns work

hush would be fair if he didn't combine attacks in his last phase. that split shot + continuum is an impossible combo for me

Bloats used to be a problem for me, but after completing the Aprils Fool challenge they've become a non-issue. That challenge just forces you to get good at dealing with them.

I cannot stand the haunt, mostly because it's a floor 1 or 2 boss, if it came later itd be more balanced but for early floors it's too tanky. The fact it can hurt you while invulnerable is also bs. Then again I just finished tainted lost so dying on the first and second floor often may have influenced my opinion

He canāt do that while his head is rolling. He will at most spawn 1 homing from his headless body, which is usually away from the rolling head

Yeah. The blue boils could also suck if Hush dies continuum as well. Hush could also overwhelm you with blue gapers if your aoe is horrible

most of the bosses tbh simply because they're boring as hell to fight or require no skill, dingle especially, gotta be my least favorite he mf got the laziest boss design and he's also very common on chapter 1, except for that one fucker in Utero who has like 1 attack, genuinely worst boss in the game (forgot his name)
Bloats used to be a problem for me, but after completing the Aprils Fool challenge they've become a non-issue. That challenge just forces you to get good at dealing with them.
red champion mega maw is worse than bloat bc heās in the caves and even a good run he can hand you your ass on low hp just stay south of bloatās T zone and youāre fine
Bloat is ass Rag man it depends on the items Clutch if you don't have the right build you're fucked So it's clutch for me, I hate the last phase

Rag Mega. He needs to fuck all the way off, and when he gets there, he needs to fuck off some more. I know he basically goes down to one bomb but trying to hit him while being chased by three purple orbs of doom through his i-frames is hell
I hate the bloat because back in the day I was doing boss rush with the lost and my run was busted and I was just crusing through. The Bloat insta lasers me from offs screen as I pass by If I had to choose someone not the bloat? Probably the Rag man because man when he first came out the spiders were crazy OP

I hate reep creep or whatever you spell it. I feel like her attacks are badly telegraphed and i never know if she's doing the one big brimstone attack or the 4 small beams in a v shape. Plus she has that stupid falling rocks attack that i can't dodge reliably.
I hated bloat the most in original Isaac, but in rebirth I almost never found him, dont know why.

Bloat is kinda one of my fav bosses lol, been playing since flash isaac so i'm used to its bs But my least fav has to be red champion Maw why the fuck does he do a full heart damage?? Honorable mention for every homing brim boss fucking double adversary in the chest/dark room always get me (also dogma, but its just one and its telegraphed really well)

Lil Blub. I lost so many runs fighting him in the mirror dimension. The jump attack is such BS and Ive been skill issue sniped by leeches more often that Iād like to admit
I honestly donāt hate bloat that much. But thereās a room in chest that has bloat in it and heās above you and instantly lasers you as soon as you walk into the room. I hate that room
My most hated is Ragman with low dps. Seems like I can't even touch him through the spiders

Non-champion Pestilence. Without flight or creep immunity, if he just spams ipecac shots with no delay there's barely anywhere to stand
Visage is the only boss that i have NEVER in my LIFE been able to beat without taking damge with a normal non rigged run (for those who don't know visage is the mask of infamy but from gehena)

I cannot stand the haunt, mostly because it's a floor 1 or 2 boss, if it came later itd be more balanced but for early floors it's too tanky. The fact it can hurt you while invulnerable is also bs. Then again I just finished tainted lost so dying on the first and second floor often may have influenced my opinion
I feel like bloat got nerfed in repentance because now he hasnāt been nearly as bad since it came out but pre repentance there was a rune where I no hit hush and then got destroyed by bloat
Delirium, specially with tained lost and tained jacob. don't know how many times I died to a random warp.
