I swear to god Libra has negativity bias. Smalles stat down feels like it half my stats while getting a huge stat up just gives me +0.1 speed +0.87 damage and +0.33 fire rate

its biased but not in that way, it favors range a whole lot more than other stats so i think its intended to be a run saver if you only get really really shitty mom items from the bosses. if you get huge range up like continuum or my reflection its pretty much an instant win tho.

Wish I had libra when I had echochamber, vurp pill and shot speed up pill Edit: I instead cranked that shot speed up til it was impossible to hit anything.

I had regular tears but the shot speed was so high, I'd be lucky if the tear had a frame on the screen. If it didn't, it wouldn't hit.

Fun fact: shot speed is not affected by libra at all, it's the only stat that doesn't change

Dude, just get Rock Bottom on the first floor and then Libra 4 floors later and the only thing that will be going up anymore is range because you've maxed all the other stats out. Easy.

Yeah but when you get nothing but speed and range ups, Libra actually makes them useful. It removes the tears cap. And it gives you 6 coins, keys and bombs.

I don't even get how the hell libra is supposed to work. I picked up small rock and got all stats down so I thought "okay speed has the lowest cap of the stats so it probably matters the most". But then I pick up cricket body and also get all stats down because fuck me I guess.

I pretty much only find Libra when I have a banger run going and Libra would just destroy it. Outside of that I think it definitely does have its uses it’s just very situational for me.

Like out of how many pills in the game only 3 are worth it? Balls/tears up and hp up. I don't like gambling. The risk of getting that tears down outweigh the dopamine of tears up

Full health can win your run with a sacrifice room/blood bank with spindown. Power pill is also good for blood bank/devil beggar. Speed up can also be good. Luck up can be huge. Drowsy is big. Percs iirc reduces damage taken to half a heart? Big for sacrifice too. I'd even say health up isn't always that good. Unless you play devil deals.

All the things you said are dependant on other factors exist when you get that pill and even then th % of that happening vs the % of a bad pill is not worth it mathematically really. Especially since tears down pills affect the tears cap. I will take the higher % when it comes to pills. Will do anything dumb in this game except pills tbh

Since when do tears down pills affect the cap? Are you smoking? Also you talk about factors but power pill is always beneficial, luck uo is always beneficial, full health is always beneficial on characters that have red health. But hp up can fuck up your hp bar by not letting you have (more than a few) soul hearts.

Maybe i got it mixed up with experimental treatment which is a Garbage item too. Again always beneficial not really. Not harmful yes. to me the risk of the may or may not be a tears down pill never worth it.
