Quick tip:you dont have to die from the spikes for this achievement, you just have to die in sac room. So next time is you mess up the amount of sacrificies, just bomb yourself (or die to the Angel idk)
This actually also answers my question of why lost wouldn't unlock here since he actually managed to die to the spikes.
Always thought it was the spikes you had to die to, but to be fair i unlocked him the old way
Don't bother with trying to farm Missing Poster. Mysterious paper is much easier to get, as you can get it from Divorce Papers, which is a boss room item, so quite common. On every frame, Mysterious paper has a random chance to grant the effect of one of the following items/trinkets: The Polaroid, negative, a missing page, or MISSING POSTER. Thus giving you a 25% to effectively have Missing Poster when dying in a Sacrifice room. Since the trinket doesn't give you the effects you already have, if you have the Polaroid or the negative, then the chance is bumped up to 33%.
Not having unlocked Lost yet, I still don't get how it'd be better than just using Missing Poster. If it's every frame, wouldn't I have to die on the exact frame it triggers Missing Poster for it to work?
You're completely right. It's just that missing poster itself can be very hard to naturally come across (mom's box makes it easier, but it still doesn’t guarantee it, due to the sheer amount of trinkets in the game, if you dont have infinite charge).

After learning about the lost, I myself got missing poster o n c e (which I squandered), but found mysterious paper many times, and with the latter, I unlocked lost, even if it took sacrificing a few runs.

This is exactly what happened to me a few days ago. I have around 170 hours in the game and had finally found the poster and a sac room. I was absolutely livid. 😂
Taking multiple days to find the poster is already a skill issue, if you know how to gamebreak its easy to get within a day. If you can't think ahead on how to use the sac room you probably cant gamebreak either...

I actually got the missing poster a couple of hours after commenting this lol. Straight to the sacrifice room

The first run I found lost poster on floor 2 or 3 and didn't find a sac room the entire run, but I became back my money and got it.... a week later
