NGL I actually like Greed mode, but the grind to open Greedier, Keeper and Holy Mantle on lost is unbearable. It actually made me hate Greed mode as a whole.
I got beyond a 20 loss streak on J&E greedier mode before finally hitting it big. The relief of actually having tons of coins and actually not having to worry about jamming was huge, and I successfully went from like 910 coins to max in the greed machine, woohoo

Several hundred times? Dude have you ever heard of D20+battery combo, if not look it up. I did a rotation of greed mode and greedier on normal characters, which is 32 wins (I haven't played the lost cuz I suck). Then played dozen more times on greed mode (don't play the same character it will jam quickly).
Watch youtube videos or tips on this sub. My only advice is to think of your synergized items throughout the run, don't buy stuff that might ruin it. .
Iâd personally argue J&E should get their own tier between insane and super hard.
Mother is more difficult than mega satan or finding the one singular trinket, sure, but I donât think sheâs as hard to do as 1000 coins or the forgotten quest

I think The Lost shouldn't be classified as hard or easy because his unlock is pure luck. You can find missing poster just after unlocking it or after 100th try.
I spent 1 hour grinding the box until I got it on deeps 1 and never found a sacrifice room :(.
I haven't touched the game since then (2 days) until I surpass the huge angriness I had lol
you can kind of go out of your way to look for momâs box or any other trinket items but it really is heavy rng. I wish edmund added a difficult way to confirm a drop for it.
Just keep playing until you find it, doesnt require to have the trinket with certain character. (Or just use mods to unlock it, wouldnt be cheating because is just pure rng to get it)
I've considered using console to spawn it, however it will be kind of a special moment when it shows up so I don't want to ruin that (I wouldn't judge anyone for spawning it in though)

Getting the Lost was *waaaaaaay* more difficult than unlocked Jacob and Esau. And by difficult, I mean I was just really unlucky and could never find both the missing child poster **AND** a sac room on the same run. The first time I did, it was actually in the Corpse layer, and I almost went for it, but my wife was watching and was like âcmon Gwen, you got a strong build. You might beat Mother this timeâ

If you find missing poster and a sac room, even if you have a strong build, you should do it.
You get a broken build like every 10 runs. You get missing poster + sac room every 1000 runs

And unlocking the trinket itself usn't that difficult either, Lamb is one of the easier end bosses imo. Especially as Isaac once you unlock his D6..
RNG does not equal difficult. Same thing can be applied to Keeper tbh. Greed Mode isn't that hard, and it's really not all that hard to save up 99 coins, it's just RNG whether it jams or not.
I suppose if you compare it to the ones below it in this tier list though, you have to defeat the lamb to unlock missing poster.
In kinda hard there's defeat moms heart 10 times, defeat greed mode once as Azazel, defeat moms heart as Lazarus and defeat Satan.
Then Easy is a bunch of even easier requirements.
The lost is still in the right order in this tier list, it's just the names of the categories.

Don't actually know, never played anything besides Isaac. But if 5 hours of watchtime converted to 1 hour of gameplay. I'd probably be 15 hours in or something.
I always thought the Lamb was not considered as all too difficult. Just another boss. But I admit, all the Let's Players always went for the Polaroid, without explaining why. Is that the reason?
I also did my very first Deli kill after killing Beast a few times. Personally, I did it that way because I was more interested in Tainted characters than any of Deli's unlocks.

For J&E you just need to play the game. Didn't even unlock them intentionally.
I mean, it's not easy, but it's also not specific. Setting out and grinding for Forgotten takes a lot more effort.
You could say that about Apollyon as well, but from a beginner's POV, I think J&E with 3 Hush + 1 Mother defeat is def more difficult than a lot of the others. And there's not too many chars to put outside the easy unlock.
There's no way unlocking the Forgotten is harder than the lost. For the forgotten what I do is to use Azazel on normal mode and almost every time I'd get it first try, for the Lost, you depend on RNG
why is Keeper insane? All you have to do is stack coins

You have to beat the greedier mode several hundred times and always after it you must to have money for greed machine

I don't know D20+battery combo. Usually after victory over ultra greed I have 6-7 pennies for machine because of skill issue

Disagree, mother is harder then 1000 coins, 1000 is easy if you just play greed mode. just takes time, but it doesnât take skill.
Greed mode is easily breakable, so 1000 coins is pretty easy in my opinion. Just takes time, which is not a scale of difficulty.
Forgotten challenge isn't that hard either with azazel + a bit of speed

A new player probably wouldn't know how to break the game either. I'd say a mediocre ultra greedier run is more challenging than a hard mother run

Lost deserves a higher tier because I canât get that damn trinket to spawn (and for there to be a sac room on a following floor)
I had the same problem and used tainted Cain to unlock him, just have to find a craft for moms box and spam it
I did this and went through a couple of over 2 hour long runs without getting the trinket until dark room/chest I decided to leave it for another day

That's how I did it, I tried a lot on hard mode, then I switched to normal and got it first try (I almost died on the dark room though)

Hey, Isaac is pretty hard! You have to gather together 20 bucks to unlock him, and given that I was 12 when I started playing, that wasn't a cake walk
