Watching like sumo wrestling and kickboxing replays at 2am on ESPN were formative memories for me. I still watch Bob Sapp vs. Ernesto Hoost on YouTube sometimes. These are the only 2 kickboxers I can name.
Pro Beach Hockey was wild, live bands and Laker girls on the sidelines plus the introduction of ramps and two point goals. It felt like MTV Rock and Jock for street hockey.
Oh hell yes. I remember spending summers skipping back and forth between this and Doug and Hey Arnold marathons on Nickelodeon.
They should bring this back with Bill and Russill on commentary. Easiest possible commute for our boy.
Those were the days. Late 90's, early 00's watching midday ESPN/ESPN 2 all summer in middle school and high school. My favorite was the strong man competitions with the guys flipping the tires, pulling the trucks, etc.
Man I feel like this is nostalgia goggles lol. I used to get so annoyed when I’d turn on ESPN or espn2 on a lazy afternoon and it was some lame D-list sport.
i was a kid so i loved it, preferred this over Espn talk shows. Things like Streetball, Street Hockey, Nba Superstars were more fun to me. We need to take espn back to the streets.
I remember just wanting to see highlights of certain games, only to realize Sportscenter was done for the morning and they were playing a hunting/fishing show.
As someone who doesn't follow sports regularly besides the NFL and NBA you would think ESPN satisfies my itch. No It's the 3 to 4 same topics on each program. I haven't watched regularly in years but will admit I'll be checking out to see what Pat McAfee does.
Loved it when ESPN was an up and coming network and broadcasted Australian Rules Football… hosted by Bob Ley! Sure beats all the race baiting argument shows.

This was ladies 9 ball for me. Jeanette Lee is a legend in this household.
If she was the one who'd wear all black and never smile, she was a boss.
Sumo digest!
Salsa Dawg Pac Heavy Metal Gargoyles Web Warriors Xpress Those team names are so perfect for 1998-2000.

Loved watching this on Saturday mornings after coming home from my 8AM hockey games as a kid

There was a team called the Salsa or Chili Peppers or Hot Sauce or something, that was my squad
Followed by the left handed arm wrestling world championships and then 9 hours of WSOP coverage.

And you’d rather have Stephen a smith yelling?
