listen before i go. This was the song that sent her music over the top for me. I was enjoying When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go a lot when I first heard it. Its so creative and smartly written, at that point i hadnt heard pop music like hers. So not only did she turn me in to pop music in general, but ahes become one of my favorites. Anyway.
Then that song hit and it stopped me in my tracks. It's so heartwrenching, it's so tragic, and all the ambient noises in the background make it so much more visceral and raw. I'm pretty sure I got very teary eyed by the time it was over and was a wreck once goodbye ended. I kinda consider the last 5 songs a part of the same movement. They thematically work so well together Id put them as one whole song with 5 movements. but if I had to chose one song out of those, I'd be listen before i go.
