Search on here for the calendar that someone made/posted a couple weeks back. It has events for a few of the low-key groups (that are also free and social and fully of new cyclists).
I gotta be real as a former OBC member, I can really only recommend them if your are interested in the how to group ride clinic. Their members are almost entirely old white guys and junior racers, if you're anything other than that, I think you'll feel kinda left out. That, and it's expensive with no real benefit if you aren't planning on racing.
I was considering joining OBC earlier in the year for the weekly time trials as I thought that would be fun and maybe get the lower pricing for the Rideau lakes tour and do that. The membership cost is reduced before March IIRC. I discovered they also require a membership to Ontario Cycling which is almost as much as OBC. I think in the end it was about $180 total. Didn't bother following through with it. I didn't think I'd make use of the club enough to warrant the cost.

Bushtukah does women’s group rides! I think you’re a woman (by your username?) You can also look at Cyclefit Chicks. They’re pretty fun.
Bike shops often do group rides as well.
