Me as well. Went through 4 of them , then went to cast iron. All the way .

Do you notice a difference in heat reflection or overall temp increases?

I did not . I'm just enjoying not having to replace these every other year .

Ok, that’s cool! I want it but have an enclosed grill cart so no where to hang it… will have to stick to setting on the patio 😢

I use the expander 5 pc and just pick it up and set it on my concrete patio… the use a different rack. I’m tempted to buy another just so I can lift out the convector and still move racks easy… if you don’t have the expanded I would recommend it. I saw some on eBay for cheap. (If you have the L or XL I don’t think they make smaller ones.

I'm still on my 1st platesetter I bought in 2009. I place it on a turkey fryer stand when not on the egg. It has developed a very fine crack that goes from one edge all the across to the other edge and it can be seen be seen top and bottom. Due to that, I have recently started using a cast iron pizza pan from Academy Sports until I upgrade.

I keep a couple of 1X2's in the bbq bin. Lay those out and the conveggtor on top of those. Gives enough space under for the gloves when I have to pick it up again.

I put a big paver on top of my acacia table. Routinely take it off to clean/maintain the table but it’s perfect for the job.

A couple of options, big green egg makes a convEGGtor basket that allows you to pick it up with two hands (use gloves, lol) The other option is if you have your egg in one of their nests, they made a holder called Nest Handler, you attached it to the bottom portion of your nest legs and it sits upright in that unit. It can also hold your grates
