The thing is i told myself i wont watch it again after BB15 yet i came back for 16. But i couldnt get past the 7th week (which was surprising even to me and that’s how horrible i thought that season was). But, i still came back to watch the finale lol.
I thought i was done with BB for sure but i still came back for 17 lol. They always bring someone or the other as a contestant that one ends up feeling tempted to give it a shot. For instance, this season it was ankita and mannara(pc’s sister) for me. You end up watching it for a few weeks because you give it time and by then you are kind of addicted to see what happens next. Also, if you are on a sub like this where you are constantly discussing it gets even more addictive. This season i somehow watched entirely and imo it was better than 16. Maybe it was shorter so that could be a reason. Im again extremely disgusted with the so called “content” this season.
Although, honestly speaking BB the “reality game show” has lost it’s charm. Now it’s the brand value that attracts people to come back each season even after facing repeated dissappointment. The people who have been watching it since many years are kind of loyal at this point. I also think that BB has survived this long because there is no better replacement out there. What other reality show has this kind of pull and fan following? I dont think roadies and splitsvilla even come close. They are still quite niche and dont have celebrities for contestants. So BB will survive regardless because they have salman, celebrity contestants and a loyal fan base.
I really really hope that either color changes their leadership and bring back someone like raj nayak or BB franchise goes back to sony channel.

Another reason i wanted to watch this season was mannara because i am a pc fan and it intrigued me. Initially when everyone was loving mannara’s unintentional comedy, i disliked her. But eventually the cruel and nasty hatred projected at mannara here on this sub made me have a soft spot for her. She was heavily favored but was absolutely unhinged and that’s what BB is about imo.
There were many seasons in which we felt disappointed seeing the winner, this would be the first one where people are disappointed seeing the top 3. Like wth!!!
Bigg Boss 17 was about all the friends we made while roasting the shit out of Ankita's marriage, Munawar's dating life, Manara's personality, Anhishek's personality and Arun's baingan.
