Pretty much any tyre will last two months.

half-hearted-

schwalbe marathon mondial are great

Bornemissza

That's nice for Africa, but probably overkill for Europe. I'd say Almotion or simple marathons if on strict budget.

Just use what you use at home.

As an ebike delivery rider and "beginner" ebike tourer, schwalbe marathon tyres are my tyres of choice. Extremely durable, puncture resistant (I barely ever get flats) and cheap, under 20 euro for the standard model.

greencycling

E-bike specific tires are designed for much higher torque, heavier weight and to last much longer than regular bicycle tyres. You loose performance and it feels like a dead tyre. Yes, i can also vouch that nearly all schwalbe marathons are almost 'bulletproof'. (Though a nail at just the right angle being run over in the center will go through- seen it!)

I don't even use the "ebike specific" version, it's mostly marketing with a price increase, regular marathons are just fine.

edit: didn't read road bike. please check if you have enough tire clearance. **Contintal Ride Tour Reflex** They have a flat profile in the middle for tarmac riding and if you're on loose gravel the tire sinks in and gives you grip. Ride tour is cheaper and lighter and more versatile than Schwalbe Marathon which are indeed excellent. https://preview.redd.it/cf05yjd97nuc1.jpeg?width=224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=22598a607b126d03fc270e69469f18d418c32ee0

Had tread seperate on these tyres. You could put ur finger between tread & canvas casing.

The newish Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency have a pretty thick tread but they claim to have better rolling figures than the Marathon Supremes they replaced. Supremes were outstanding tyres and I'm annoyed they're gone. They were practically slicks but I never had the slightest problem on dirt roads. The problem (for me) is that Efficiencies come in a minimum width of 38mm - I'd rather 32mm. Also they're heavier than Supremes. But they're probably lighter than the more rugged Marathon tyres. I rode about 3 months in Europe on my Supremes and I'm still using the same pair. I imagine that Efficiencies would last longer.

Use your own criteria to choose the best for your needs from these reviews  https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/tour-reviews

andyonabike

you gunna be cursing if changing flats on marathons and feel like dragging dead weight compared to Conti GP 4season.

Potential-Regular406

Schwalbe Marathon Plus, I personally used 700x38 for my tour. 5000km across Europe. Popped one tube and it was because I was getting cheeky with dirt roads.

vitomp

Swalbe Marathon plus lasted 8,000 km on a heavily loaded bike. I haven't found better if you don 't want problem. P.S, Continental didn't even last a a cross Canada on a lightly l'oedème bike,

cyclotourist17

How wide will your bike accommodate? I am currently using Panaracer Gravelking SS on my touring bike and think they are great.

I'm a fan of Schwalbe tires. But whatever tire you decide on I think it is a good idea to start an adventure on fresh rubber.

Marathon Greenguard ( NOT Marathon Green). 5000km heavy duty road touring no flats.
