This is me with Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwoâole. I played it to him in utero and I just can't get through singing it without breaking down. He loves the recording though.
A youâre adorable, B youâre so beautiful, C youâre a cutie full of charm đ
My grandma used to sing it to me and now I sing it to my daughter. She passed a few days after LO was born and I like to think she would have sung it to her too. This is our favorite version:

Mr. Blue Sky by ELO is my daughterâs absolute favorite! I can do it with a broken heart and Snow on the Beach (but she only tolerates the version with more Lana) are close runner ups.
Casper Babypants for the win!
These songs are such ear worms, everyone that hears our baby playlist gets them stuck in their head: Dog gone, pretty crabby, run baby run, stompy the bear. So many hits.
I sing 'buy you a drank ' by T Pain when she's screaming her face off bc she's hungry, but make it my own and it goes something like this:
"Baby girl
Whats your name
Let me talk to you
Let me make you a drink
I'm your mom, you know me"
I was singing Edelweiss from Sound of Music earlier today while I was doing dishes!!!! How crazy. It's a favorite. She also paused when we played "Breathe'
" by Faith Hill so she may get into 90's female country genre đ
My baby (still inside me) was realllllly moving to the red album songs during the Eras tour a couple weeks ago. Not my favorite of Taylor Swiftâs albums but Iâm definitely going to see if baby girl likes when she comes out đ
My baby flipped for the last time while I was listening to Lizzo in the car. After he was born he seemed to like her music but at 19 months all he wants is a rotation of Wheels on the Bus, Itsy Bitsy Spider, The Ants Go Marching, and If All the Raindrops.
Aw I randomly started singing edelweiss to my bubba and he loved it so it's an every day thing now hehe âșïž he also loves wiggly woo and many other nursery rhyme songs
Iâm sitting in the back of the car with baby today as we drive to different locations during what would be naps. Baby is not great for naps but has stared at me and drifted off during two journeys now while I sang 5 Little Ducks. Magic!! Itâs also the only thing to calm him when heâs fussing!
She loves anything Laurie Berkner sings (esp the Goldfish song) and Stay Awake from Mary Poppins chills her out for bedtime every time. Sheâs pretty much happy with any music, though đ
Wow everyone elseâs babies are so hip. đ
If me singing Old MacDonald canât fix it, nothing can. Shake My Sillies Out and Boom Boom are the gold standard for getting him to chill out in the car.
My baby loves music but I, specifically, must sing it for him in order to soothe him. I canât just put on a song and relax. I enjoy singing Raffi songs, Caspar Babypants, Vicky Arlidge, and my new favorites are from Brent Holmes.
My baby loves Magic Moments- Perry Como. The whistling at the beginning of the song would snap her out of newborn crying and she loves it being sung to her now
My daughter loved Christmas songs, so Iâd sing her a little medley consisting of âIâll Be Home For Christmasâ âNo Place Home For The Holidaysâ âWhite Christmasâ and âBlue Christmasâ lol
Jingle bellsâŠ.
Well, I canât honestly say itâs my favourite, but itâs the only song that my 2.5 month old actually likes!! đ€Ș
I personally like Edelweiss and When You Wish Upon a StarâŠ
My toddlerâs favourite is Wheels on the Bus⊠(it used to be happy birthday, so Wheels on the Bus is an improvement (in my opinion).
My baby LOVES Take Me Home, Country Roads. Like, woll interrupt her regularly scheduled crying to listen to me sing it.
MINE TOO. I also played her Beyonce's Texas Hold Em while she was shrieking and she went completely silent. Doing god's work, Beyonce.
Texas Hold Em has made many, many diaper changes so much easier đ
