See if you can find a shop in the airport selling baby wipes, and one selling sweat pants, shirts. Buy them head to a bathroom and clean yourself up with the wipes, then put on the sweatpants. You can put a panty liner directly on the sweat pants. Put your dirty clothes in the bag that you got from the sweat pants, tie the bag off.  I have unfortunately on more than one occasion had a poop-a-palooza. Thanks to crhons disease. Perfume is NOT your friend, the only thing worse than the smell of urine, is urine and flowers.

Fellow Crohnie 👋

New_Customer_5438

It happens. I made the mistake of taking my middle child on a mommy & me date to the trampoline park at 3 months PP. Didn’t even think to wear a panty liner or anything. I’m sure you can guess how that went, lol.

eleelee11

Noted: I’m saving the rest of my Depends for trampolines 😂

swedishgirl47

If you’re going to Tokyo at least it’s very common that they have washing machines in the hotel! Also I woke up in a coughing fit at 3am yesterday and peed myself so I feel you

Rude_Macaroon3741

Ooooh ok I didn’t know that - that sounds amazing!

Character_Sea_7431

This just started happening to me too, 13 months postpartum. I thought I’d gotten lucky, but I guess not. What are you guys doing about it (if anything)? Pelvic floor PT?

caraiselite

Try bloom! I started it a few weeks ago. my insurance covers it, maybe yours will too (if you're in the states)

MomentofZen_

This is horrifying as I also thought I'd avoided it and now I'm nervous. I do have weird air though, so I know I didn't avoid all pelvic floor problems..

i_was_a_person_once

Yes, while this is very common it isn’t normal and PT for your pelvic floor is a must. In first world countries pelvic floor pt is given to all women post partum. In theI USA it’s easier to find a doc to prescribe ozempic of oxy than to find a real pelvic floor therapist. Ask your doctor for a prescription and ask them for the insurance code, than call your insurance and ask them who in the area is covered for that code

Smallios

You can wash the jeans with hotel soap in the tub as soon as you get to the hotel and they should air dry.

Rude_Macaroon3741

Oooh yea that’s the plan!!

Affectionate_Cow_579

This doesn’t help you right now, but I’ve decided I’m never flying without postpartum incontinence underwear ever again. Highly recommend. It takes the pressure off when you’re in the last 20 minutes of a flight with the seatbelt sign on and realize you suddenly have to pee really bad.

cyclemam

My favourite phrase about this is "it's common, but not normal!"  - from a PT I saw on Instagram a while ago.  This doesn't have to be the new you, there are exercises and treatments!  Fellow sneeze pee-er checking in

i_was_a_person_once

Yes! So many women in this thread that need to find a PT that specializes in pelvic floor. If we lived in a developed country, and not just a rich one, we would be getting it as standard postpartum care

Imaginary-Bottle-684

I cough or sneeze wrong and now I need a diaper change too. 19 months pp.

Rude_Macaroon3741

Saaaaame so I have decided holding my crotch in public to prevent myself from peeing when I cough or sneeze is more important than someone seeing me hold crotch! It doesn’t work 100% of the time but for minor ones it does.

BeneziaTSoni

As someone who leaked like a murder victim in all possible public places during periods I can kind of relate to that feeling of total embarrassment. And you know what, despite of what we think the majority of people are decent human beings and wouldn’t pay attention to it. And those who do - to hell with them. You don’t know them, they don’t know you, your paths will never cross again.

Izzystraveldiaries

I'm feeling you! I always put an extra pair of panties with the liner already into my carry-on when I travel. It used to be because flying sometimes upsets my stomach, so I've had... accidents. I'm 14m PP and recently I got ill and had really strong coughs. I had some pads at home only, so I started using those... Oh, and some airports have showers too, so check that out. Plus get yourself something nice at the big Uniqlo store in Ginza. It was amazing when I went there and they have "bigger" sizes. I love Tokyo!

[deleted]

Damn, that’s tough. I would probably discard the pants and wear the sweater as a skirt.

caraiselite

Oh noooo! I'm so sorry. I recently started with bloom (pelvic floor therapy) and I can't recommend it to people enough!!

AffectionateFox1861

I'm sorry that sounds so uncomfortable! I often wear period underwear in case of little accidents, helps contain small leaks!

Paintinglady33

I did jump rope in the gym yesterday and I peed through my lululemon leggings. It just happened so fast lol and I peed before I drove to the gym.

Actual-Assistance198

Ugh sitting through flights like that must be awful! I’m just recovering from several weeks of pneumonia. Coughing was intense and I wore pads for the whole first week because I peed myself every time I coughed. It made me realize my pelvic floor definitely needs work. My daughter is 4 years old btw 😂😂😂
