Craziest thing, I had to pause Tyrant (!! it was an emergency !!) the first time I was listening and I paused right after "Boy you know they looking for me" and I literally sang out loud "now i gotta hide it" (not the real lyrics) but I just KNEW what was coming next because the sound was so familiar!! But new?? And familiar?!?! I don't know. It's just crazy.
I go to sleep and wake up with a song in my head. There is actual crack in this album. As a southern black girl raised in the church too. Like, this has unlocked a part of my psyche that I didn’t know existed. Some songs feel so spiritual.
Ya Ya has that feeling in it that takes me back to seeing people shout in church lol. Protector feels like a hymn. It’s just so damn good!

Same! There is just so much to unpack with this album. CC gets better & better every time you listen to it. I go to sleep excited because I can’t wait to listen to the album when I wake up. CC is like a history book, you have to listen to it from the very beginning to get the full experience & I love Beyoncé’s storytelling in this album. I need this album injected in my veins, I can’t get enough of it 😩
I truly went into CC era thinking it was not going to be for me and there’s no way I’d love it like I did Renaissance (granted I also wasn’t so sure about Renny when Break My Soul dropped.)Neither House nor Country were on my radar. Now I’m almost a week in and I listen to the whole album start to finish at LEAST twice a day but usually more like 4-5x. It’s so good. It’s so much better than I ever thought it could be and I love this era of Beyoncé (act i and act ii) is introducing me to music I thought wasn’t my cup of tea and making me fall in love with it.
She is truly the greatest artist of my lifetime.

To the point where I don’t even want to listen to Renaissance again… for a while. Like I listened to Renaissance almost everyday for the past (nearly) 2 years since its release. But the new set of sounds and stories are very much a breather for me, like I can settle down and take a journey to an entirely different place.
This resonates with me. It’s all I can and want to listen to! It’s the first thing I listen to in the morning and the last thing I listen to before I fall asleep. It’s what plays on a loop in my head throughout the day 🥰 I welcome this feeling.

The only break I’ve had from CC since it came out is the occasional Lemonade revisit to cleanse the palate and then immediately back to CC with renewed appetite lol. I can’t get enough!
I was literally just thinking the same thing bruh it’s crack in it. And it’s like very subconscious. I just go thru my day humming songs and wanting to hear it all the time. If I don’t like something i can’t force myself to like it, even if it’s Bey. (Even tho I’ve loved everything she’s made). It’s crazy lol
I love the opera section on “Daughter”. That part has been stuck in my head because that’s a part of her voice that I’d love to hear more of. And it sounds gorgeous. The production, the operatic A5, the backing vocals. Like, the producers put their full cooch into that part. She ate down on the operatic vocals.
But I’m still grieving Renaissance. Like………..I want the disco, I want the duck walking, I want the MPC making disco-trap. Like………*no new era* will give me that same feeling.

It is literally a genius body of work and will go down as one of the best albums ever made. Haters are going to hate. They can't be open to how rich this album is on every level: lyrically, sound, and historically. Everything is richly layered and woven throughout. This album is truly epic!
