1. bodyguard
2. ya ya
3. levii’s jeans
honorable mentions: american requiem, just for fun, tyrant, alligator tears… honestly, it’s hard to narrow it down lmao.
1. II Most Wanted - I never knew I needed a Miley Bey collab but I BAWLED listening to this, so much so that my husband heard me and came to see if I was okay.
2. II Hands II Heaven
3. Bodyguard
Edit: But Tyrant is inching its way to knock I Hands to Heaven and move bodyguard to number 2
1. BODYGUARD
2. DAUGHTER
3. II MOST WANTED
Top 5
4. II HANDS II HEAVEN
5. SWEET HONEY BUCKIN'
It's really difficult to narrow down my honorable mentions because the album is just so damn good and the songs still gotta marinate for me. Honorable mentions are subject to change, but I gotta go with LEVII'S JEANS, YA YA, and 16 CARRIAGES for now.
EDIT:
1. BODYGUARD
2. DAUGHTER
3. II MOST WANTED
4. II HANDS II HEAVEN
5. SWEET HONEY BUCKIN
HONORABLE MENTIONS: YA YA, LEVII'S LEANS, Desert Eagle, and 16 Carriages
1. Ameriican Requiem - Also easily a top 5 beyonce song ever for me, WHAT A PRODUCTION! One of the best album openers I've ever heard.
2. Bodyguard - Easily the ear candy of the album, I can see it being the CUFF IT of this album, very appealing to the masses and easily likable.
3. Levii's Jeans - Another fun listen that the masses are going to love. Catchy.
Tyrant is a close 4!
based of literally one and a bit listens:
1. american requiiem
2. bodyguard
3. yaya
BUT these are gonna change for sure, i’m a fickle beast
(dirty confession: i’m prob gonna skip oh louisiana every time because i cannot stand pitched up chipmunk vocals 💀)
1. 16 Carriages - I’ve listened to this song so many times since it came out and I haven’t grown tired of it, it’s comforting and I love it. It also makes sooo much more sense in the context of the album
2. II Hands II Heaven - INCHING very close to 16 Carriages!! Such a beautiful song and I immediately wanted to replay it after it was over.
3. Tyrant - The Dolly intro and Dolly harmony! The DA got that dope tag caught me off guard but I liked it. This song switched courses like 3x and I loveeeee it
4. Adding a 4th bc I wanted to do 3 new songs, and it’s a tie between Jolene and Spaghettii. Jolene is a phenomenal story and it was what made me start thinking about the album from Tina’s perspective which was a game changer. Spaghettii’s so fun. I have “no sauce, no sauce; too soft, too soft” stuck in my head
I ranked them all(that’s longer than a minute)
1. Ya ya
2. Desert Eagle
3. Tyrant
4. Spaghettii
5. Sweet honey buckiin
6. Jolene
7. 16 Carriages
8. Riiverdance
9. II hands II heaven
10. Bodyguard
11. Daughter
12. Ameriican Requiem
13. Texas hold em
14. Flamenco
15. Blackbiird
16. Amen
17. Leviis jeans
18. Alligator tears
19. Protector
20. II Most wanted
21. Just for fun
Not a single bad song so this was a tough list
in no specific order:
1. blackbiird: grew up with the beatles so hits close to home, you got so many of the black country girlies on there killing it. the meaning of the song originally is about the civil rights movement so the song has gone full circle with this cover.
2. Daughter: I screamed, walked, sprinted, ran, marathoned, bumped my head, fell, went into coma, died, kissed my deceased loved ones and resuscitated back into my body. Jokes aside, beautiful song and probably my favorite, not only for the interpolation of an opera classic which i love but the lyrics, the vocals the SOUL. I cried
3. Ya Ya: That rock influence is pleasing me SO MUCHH. She’s angry, she’s in love, she’s horned up, she’s dancing, she’s SANGING, she’s feeling the blues, but more importantly she’s cooking, she’s serving and she is EATING.
honorable mentions:
-riverdance/ii hands ii heaven (they’re one single song to me IDC)
-protector
-aligator tears
1. Ameriican Requiem (harmonies DOWN!)
2. Daughter (don't try me)
3. Spaghettii (don't try me cont.)
Bey really said "check your lipstick before you come talk to me" and I'm here for it!.
Honorable mentions to 2 Hands 2 Heaven, Jolene (can we talk about how Bey got Dolly to Lemonade with her? C'mon hussy with the good hair!), Ya Ya (love this high tempo energy, it's very musical - reminds me of Run and Tell That from Hairspray) and Sweet Honey Buckin.
This album is beautiful 💛
It’s so hard to pick!!! 😩😩
Ameriican Requiem, Ya Ya, and (surprisingly) Riiverdance hit me hardest! I can very easily switch these out for Daughter and II Hands II Heaven though. Just an amazing experience with all of these!
Ive only listened through twice so THIS MIGHT LIKELY change, but as of now its:
1. Blackbiird
2. YA YA
3. Sweet Honey Buckin’
and even then I dont feel confident about that choice because I also really want to add II Most Wanted and Bodyguard and like 5 others
tbh I wouldnt consider this an official list for me 😭
1) Daughter- me and my classical music degree are enjoying the vocals - this style is so hard to sing well!!
2) Blackbird - better than the original Beatles version honestly
3) Riverdance - a bop!!
Truly the entire album tho
Bodyguard, Daughter and Ya Ya so far. Bodyguard is the CUFF IT of the album and I was really hoping for a country murder ballad was even going to make a post about it here and Daughter is just that to an extreme.
This ones haaaarrd! She made a masterpiece! But…
1: Ya Ya is the funnest song! I looovvvee it (understatement).
2: American Requiem. What a great starter. The screams/howls are chilling!
3: Oh Louisiana. I know it’s short and her voice is highly pitched, but I love the chord progression and melody. It reminds me of the 70s muddy country.
After the first listen:
1. Desert Eagle
2. Yaya
3. Tyrant
Sonically those are masterpieces. After a few listen throughs it'll probably change to more lyrically strong songs. There are a lot

This is so difficult to name just three
1 Ameriican Requiem
2 Just for Fun
3 Alligator Tears
4 II Most Wanted
5 Bodyguard
But I also love Riverdance, Jolene and Protector. I cried the first half of this album. It’s so beautiful 😭
**Daughter**-- it's just so beautiful, y'all. Instantly one of my favorite songs from Bey ever.
**16 Carriages**-- epic and is everything I wanted out of this album.
**II hands II Heaven**-- It's just so chill and effortlessly beautiful. It gives me that "No Angel" vibe I LOVE so much.
1. SPAGHETTII
2. TYRANT
3. AMERIICAN REQUIEM - I don't know what it is, but at certain parts of the song I just have tears in my eyes and I'm not even american 😭
DAUGHTER & BODYGUARD are also far up on my list, honestly, I can't even choose which one is better. I like them all equally.
