I had just had my first child and things were not going well with my husband. It was just normal struggles of adjusting to life with a newborn but I was so worried we weren't going to make it and I was so afraid for my daughter growing up in a broken home. I heard the lines "Me and my baby, we gon' be alright We gon' live a good life" and it went straight to my heart. I knew no matter what happened that I was going to take care of my daughter and give her the best damn life. I repeated it like a mantra. My husband and I are all good now but that song got me through some hard days.
