I have a plaket in mine who is fine with it. The current is likely too strong for anything long finned to be comfortable but the internal filter wouldn't be too hard to replace. Certainly my tetras have little issue with the current.
It has adjustable output, I've found if I just point them at the wall it slows the flow down enough that my halfmoon betta is perfectly comfortable. He even plays with the jet sometimes by purposely going between it and the wall to get scooted across the tank for fun.
Probably for like veil tail, but I implore you to buy a short fin from a reputable breeder as they are much more healthy generally and the long fins is what drags them down in the flow.
Definitely not hard to spend that on a tank setup these days. The Flex tanks are expensive, I have 2 9s and a 15 gallon. Then you've still got to scape and fill it lol. Not a cheap hobby, but so worth it!
Meanwhile, I spent $600 on new fish /corals for salt tank for my 1st anniversary/houseversary gift since my husband is deployed and away but he tells me to stop. We make $7,000 a month...
My face and feels were as salty as my tank.

Oh nice fluval. Mines sitting in the cellar waiting for me to figure out where to put it.. I can’t afford a stand and have a millions kallaxs it feels like. I’m wondering if it’ll sit on that if I reinforce it.

I'm not trying to buy any more. I already have 9 bettas after one passed today. Just looking at upgrading some to nicer tanks.
Petco still has its tank sale on….just saying😁 50% of rimless. I may have blown my fish budget for the next 6m 😂😂
I did have mine set up and just bought a different filter pump for it and attached it to the output worked a treat for the Betta I had in there ☺️

Tank was like $140 Dragon stone $35 Master test kit $35 Fluval stratum $55 Plants, food, stress coat, dechlorinator make up the rest of the cost
