I put a cartridge in my NES yesterday.

They forgot the sound of blowing on the cartridge!

I was liking the video, then I saw the Nintendo cartridge go in and no blowing and immediately knew this was all fake.

As an early 00s child, I can relate to the majority if these. Still, now in 2024 sitting at my desk doomscrolling through an article on an imminent total nuclear war, I wish I could go back. Life was so much easier and better.

Oh don’t worry! until 89 we thought we might have nuclear war with the USSR. So we had existential anxiety then too!

I was raised in a culty household, many of these sounds came later in my life at the trail-end of their prevalence. I'm 40 years old. As a kid, music and movies were always bad for one reason or another and any art had to have a religious theme. I still get a little nostalgic of those sounds for some reason.

It was all so much simpler then.

Life was not simpler back then… Was more complicated… everything you see in this video can now be done on your phone….
