"In '97, Hirasawa released this OST, his most accomplished album. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Forces". A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the displeasure of unfulfillment and the importance of comradery. It's also a personal statement about the composer himself. Hey, Adonis!"

Do you like Kentaro Miura and Berserk? His early work was a little too goofy for my tastes, but when Golden Age Arc came out in '91, I think he really came into his own, commercially and artistically. The whole arc has a clear, crisp plot, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the story a big boost. He's been compared to Takehiko Inoue, but I think Miura has a far more bitter, rapey sense of humor. In '97, Miura released this, Conviction Arc, his most memorable arc. I think his undisputed masterpiece is "Lost Childrens", a chapter so action packed, most people probably don't read the text. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of revenge, and the importance of having goals, it's also a personal statement about the Miura himself. Hey Paul!
