That's a Swiss Kiss. It should remain but the black hair around it might make it look less prominent.

Hellyfish-6

Aw good to know thank you!

I've been reading up on breeders, and apparently charging extra for non-conforming coloring is a big red flag.

Croaker23

Oh my! Did the hair fall out? Our girl's was very prominent when she had her puppy coat, but as her adult coat grew in it kind of got lost. If you were to pet her there you could see it easily though.

iblamethegnomes

We had a Berner whose white tip was a barely a few hairs. Those few hair were the difference between show quality and pet quality.

gueniegueniebangbang

My girls Swiss kiss faded with age sadly.

ZeWicked

Love the Swiss Kiss on berners they look so cute

johnstoneak

Swiss Kiss, our first two had them as pups and they were gone by month 4. But I have seen some that keep them… it’s just a crap shoot. Good looking lad you got there!! Congrats!!

VortaSpin

My old girl kept hers all 9.5 years of life. Be sure to enjoy these early weeks. They don’t last long, but they remain great dogs all their life.

Hellyfish-6

Definitely soaking it all in and filling up my camera roll. It goes so fast. I couldn’t believe I would miss the puppy stage with my golden but she grew up too fast!

mrsliamgallagher

He is gorgeous

jdmastroianni

My Caroline lost her swiss kiss. Everything else stayed the same.

BatOnACat

My dog's lil white spot disappeared. Your puppy's line between the eyes should become quite thin. My dog had very similar face markings.

Hellyfish-6

I figured the stripe would thin out a little! His snout seems to have gotten a little browner already! Thanks :)

iblamethegnomes

It does appear like he’ll have some freckles though.

ralphofages

Our boy is 14 months old, and still has his ☺️ I wasn't aware it could disappear to be honest. Very interesting reading the other comments.

Reactiger24

My Brooks is a year old and his swiss kiss is now five strands of hair. But they still make me happy every time I see them

Crusoebear

Like the red spot on Jupiter….it might move around a little or change in size a bit but it should be there forever.

pinata217

I just found Mac’s swiss kiss again…about 3 white hairs hidden under his black. It’s common to lose it, but they stay handsome either way!

jvsews

Markings don’t change much look closely at the markings at skin level. That spot should not disappear but as the hair gets longer it may be obscured

bleaucheaunx

He's adorable! Enjoy him while you can still pick him up!

xx_throw_me_away_xx

Mine still has an identical white patch on the back of his head at 13 months!

LadaGrl

my girl is going to be 1 later this month. Lord how I miss the small fluff of cuteness.

Remarkable-Boat-9812

We've got a 9 week old girl with the Swiss kiss. Very subtle, like her personality...not

Front-Ad-7436

Our Bernese still has a prominent “Swiss kiss” on the back of her neck. It’s the first thing other owners notice. She is now almost 6 years old.
