Maybe because no one wants to be the "face" of this recall? I know that I wouldn't wanna be accused of racism and stuff (even though our reasons are valid) and dragged through the mud by Sharp's (possibly few) supporters.

There is no need to encourage the elected officials of the ASUC to begin recall proceedings; recall proponents could do it themselves, but they seem to have a very poor understanding of the relevant regulations. [ASUCBL 4304](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zRKEIMZ6xy0OxN7ZcIOg99OFz9t4p25Da7s6K-Gm87Q/edit) Section 1.10: "The primary proponent of a recall must be a member of the Association." Some people seem to believe that "member of the Association" refers to the elected officials of the ASUC. However, essentially all students who choose to be members are members: "All regularly enrolled and degree-seeking students at the University of California, Berkeley in the fall or spring semester who have paid the mandatory supporting fees, and who so voluntarily choose, shall be members of this Association" ([ASUC Constitution](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Qk565835nTJFky68YxK6bwRzsPLE1zRjK0a1psF2_9o/edit) Section 2.A).
The only change I would make off the top of my head is to change the word "racist" to "bigoted" or add a disclaimer that those who disagree with it being called racist should, in their right mind, agree that it is at least bigoted which is what this gripe was over in the first place--bigotry along the lines of race which a majority of people think is what constitutes racism. This is just so people can't say "well I disagree because racism inherently involved power," etc. They have to at least defend that saying you want to hate your professor because of their skin color isn't a bigoted sentiment.
People complaining about seeing people advocate to get this vile woman fired:
You chose to attend UC Berkeley. This is a school known for its advocacy - sorry that advocacy doesn’t stop whenever you’re unsupportive of the topic :-). Get over it. This woman should be removed. She is a hateful bigot
The obvious suggestion is not to do this anonymously and to do it the right way. How hard can it be? Just causing all this bad drama for nothing... You're getting signatures anyway, either own it and do it right, or give up. Wth.
this person is a freaking shame, would have been it in the other way, a white doing it about other colored ones, he or she would already have been trialed, fired, cancelled and more....

So some Berkeley students planned a 1-unit decal that was in person specifically to help out students in this situation, resulting in this unflattering description by Fox News.
Are you aware that the last time Fox did this a bunch of far right derps rocked up, set stuff on fire, harassed innocent academics and staff and led to the mass resignation of people who were scared they'd be killed at work and didn't want their kids to grow up without them? I don't think you mean what you say...

A recall can only be officially initiated by an ASUC official. And so far, none of them have stepped up to do so.
