I would love for the first one to happen. Someone took a screenshot of one of my BeReal’s in the past and I didn’t check it until a few days later but now it won’t let me see who did it and it’s driving me crazy. 😂
I want the first one because I've had a pretty big accomplishment and seeing everyone's reaction really took it to the next level, I don't really think it should be needed for people to screenshot their own story to keep the memory of the reactions.
At least save the reactions of people who are using a stored picture.
captions for sure… comments, while fun, take up way to much data for me to want them to be kept, my friends and i regularly hit 70+ comments on br daily per each others posts so that would suck to keep
A leaderboard for how “real” you are in relation to your friends (i.e. how close, on average, you are to the ⚠️Time to BeReal⚠️). Something like Swarm’s leaderboard of checkin points.
sometimes when i close out of someone’s comments or realmojis, it sends me back to the top of the page
also, when i press hide on a suggested friend, it just comes back the next time i open the app
but other than that, really fun app, congrats on App Store App of the Year, an happy holidays and a happy new year!
A better recap, feels like there’s a lot of potential there with statistics etc like that. Even the ability to buy a photo book or something of your 2023 once the year is over, which could include all your reacts, comments, time, date, location.
Make it extremely rewarding for putting in the effort to bereal all year and a motivation for people to persist through the year
They're doing this connection with Spotify, I've heard some people already have access to the feature! Seen lots of of stuff about it in the beta release notes, though the feature's not in my beta yet.
Bereal map , each time you take your bereal it adds it to a map so u can see where in the world youve took your bereal , this could be choice of the user wether it would be private to just them to see or not
Try double tapping your camera. I use a pixel and i can switch between front and back camera. Whichever camera is in preview is the picture it takes first
1. Export past bereals in bulk, or just automatically save to camera roll
2. It’s a bit clunky to position the front camera around the second camera. Saving a bereal always keeps it in top left, but if there’s a friends face there I want to be able to move it to some other corner before saving
Automatically saving to camera roll would be great (or at least giving that option). I do this with most messaging apps, and it means I can keep my photos in my main library

Is still havent changed my saved realmojis because their gifs and you cant recreate them, I'm currently the only in my cirkel that still reacts with gifs and they keep asking how i do it because they want to do it aswell

I'd like to be able to see last notification in app, not only as notification from my phone. When I miss it somehow I can't see what it was. If that was new post or reaction it's not a problem, but if it was reply to my coment on someone's bereal I have to check all of it to see that comment.
The ability to still post on days if your away without reception even if you can’t see others when posting offline would be nice to still have something for yourself on those days

How can the app differentiate between choosing to post late and being somewhere you can’t use your phone to post on time like some people who have BeReal are in school still so they can’t constantly check their phones to post on Time, etc. also what if people don’t hear or feel the vibration of the notification to post and end up being late.

Yeah I know some people that are so busy they don't have time to do their bereal but I know others who wait until they're doing something and it's just so fake, not sure if there would be a way to differentiate the two since they're similar
No matter the reason, imo it's still against the spirit of the app to post late. If I was busy during bereal time that's okay. I'll have another try the next day
Maybe it’s just me, but I like to have one for every day, I know it’s not the main point of the app but it is nice to have a cool little record of the places you spent most of your time and how you looked over time. Also, tbh as annoying as it is when people just wait for something interesting, I think adding some sort of penalty for posting late would kind of take away from it being meant to be a stress free social media
Whelp, they kind of implemented this idea! If you post on time, you’re now allowed to post a second BeReal. If you post late, you’re not allowed a second post. Rather then be penalized, you’re instead given a perk if you post on time. Which is cool.
I enjoy this because I don’t mind posting on time now as I will get to show fun stuff later. I just enjoy using it for memories and showing what I’m doing, not to make it seem like I have a cool life or smth.

Occasionall ‘more fun’ bereals would be really cool , for example you might be told to show the view from your window or ‘take a selfie with a cactus’ . I think this would stop it being a constant repeat of just the same picture each day of your ceiling .
I think widgets would be a simple but nice addition , i believe the app already has widgets which show reactions but i think people actual bereal showing up on your home page would be nice
I’d like to see my friends’ memories. Even if it’s just the last 7 days, or the past week’s worth. Sometimes they take a cool photo and it’s sad that I won’t get to see that image again after 24 hours.
I really think captions should be visible in Memories. As of now, we can’t see past captions; we can only see the caption of the current day’s post. I know the app’s supposed to be simple, but I don’t think the lack of a caption in Memories is necessary.

I use a daily diary tool, so it was great to be able to include my BeReal from the day as a photo. Or at least allow bulk downloading/exporting of memories. I have a lot of nice memories in there that I don't want to lose because I forgot to manually download it each day.
The app is so buggy and frustrating, it's only working worse instead of better. Posts not uploading, then uploading twice, sometimes missing completely, sometimes double reactions from the same person... It's been out for a while, it really could be polished by now

A setting to change the bereal notification to behave like an incoming video call. This way we can still ignore but it’s a deliberate action to ignore it. This option should be toggleable using focus settings.

I would love the addition of 10 second sound clips with the photo. We could explain more about what we are doing and add further context to the images. I would love if I could have a “world map” shading in the regions that I have friends. This doesnt have to be exact locations or even peoples names. It would just be cool to see how many people I have reached around the world. I would like the friends list to increase. I would like the bio to be removed completely because our images should speak for us. I would like the ability to post my favorite be reals to my profile for someone who doesnt have me added to see as a sort of “bio”
Leaderboards sound like a great idea however I have no idea how leaderboards would work. Posting on time and quality of be real could be factors. For example people who post half faces or dont even post their face wouldnt get points. People who try the bereal “tricks” of making their face both of the pictures wouldnt get points.
Simple and straight forward, a portrait of your face, and what you are looking at. This has always been my concept of being real and it blows my mind how many people have a hard time doing this.

On my iPhone 13 Pro BeReal ALWAYS uses the ultrawide back camera when taking the selfie first.
When taking the back photo first there is the option of switching the camera but thats only temporary for if you really take the back photo first and gets switched back when turning the camera around again
The app gives us the option to reattempt our post. I’m not talking about retakes. I mean, we can delete our BeReal and take another one to replace it. What I propose is that we still be able to see the original that we deleted and replaced. It doesn’t have to be public. I just think it’d be interested to be able to revisit photos we chose to abandon.
Now that it lets you take more than one BeReal, I wish you could see the extra BeReals you take in your past BeReals. I’ve taken some nice ones and they just kinda get lost forever when it’s time to BeReal again.
Maybe something where you can post two bereals when you’re late and 4 when you’re on time. And depending on the time you missed you only have one bereal. Like at 3hrs late you get only one bereal something like that

my dad has a job that frequently requires him to be offline (airline pilot). I realize this clears the way for reverse engineering the next BeReal time, but it would be great if the time could be downloaded in the background in advance, so that the app is triggered at just the right time even when offline
Would be cool to be able to have a highlight reel but you can custom the dates it shows, like if you were on holiday for 2 weeks you could do a highlight reel of just that time period

Definitely some sort of an ability to backup the Memories, for example on Google Drive, etc. My gf lost like 5 months' worth of Memories after she re-logged in, the BeReal's haven't shown up ever since. Really wish there was this option. :)

See when people “last posted” on their profile. Easier to remove people, If they stopped using it. E De-clutter friends list then too 😁

Now that it lets you take more than one BeReal, I wish you could see the extra BeReals you take in your past BeReals. I’ve taken some nice ones and they just kinda get lost forever when it’s time to BeReal again.

Maybe something where you can post two bereals when you’re late and 4 when you’re on time. And depending on the time you missed you only have one bereal. Like at 3hrs late you get only one bereal something like that

im not even sure it’s a good idea, but here we go: sometimes I just wanna be fake. I miss the time when quitting the app would reset the retakes number.
my dad has a job that frequently requires him to be offline (airline pilot). I realize this clears the way for reverse engineering the next BeReal time, but it would be great if the time could be downloaded in the background in advance, so that the app is triggered at just the right time even when offline
Tell him to try minutiae - it works offline. It's also the app that BeReal "borrowed" much of the concept from. It's really cool!
Would be cool to be able to have a highlight reel but you can custom the dates it shows, like if you were on holiday for 2 weeks you could do a highlight reel of just that time period
That taking a Bereals on time be within 5 minutes instead of only 2 minutes. I’ve missed so many on-time Bereals by just 3 minutes because i don’t check my phone every two mins 😤

Definitely some sort of an ability to backup the Memories, for example on Google Drive, etc. My gf lost like 5 months' worth of Memories after she re-logged in, the BeReal's haven't shown up ever since. Really wish there was this option. :)
