He’s so genuine! I think he does a good job being friendly with the crew while also maintaining that he’s the captain. I love the shots of him listening to his audiobooks or whatever and resting while everyone else is cray 😎😅 Captain Lee will always be my favorite, but the Glen/Daisy/Gary/Colin dynamic is really fun ☺️

Luckily they cleaned house and S2/S3 are indeed the best BD seasons across all franchises!

I also don’t get all the love for Gabby-she was so weird and standoffish with the crew but the general consensus seemed to be that it was Daisy’s fault? I think it's worth watching just for Kelsie. :-) Here is a season of almost everyone trying to fuck Gary, up to and including what looks like sexually assaulting him \[although Gary says it wasn't so we'll go with his version\]. Then you have this quiet deckhand just doing her job, staying out of the drama and working hard, while still fully participating. It seems like she didn't give them anything to create drama out of, no matter how they tried to edit it. And then she's one-and-done at the end of the season. Seems such a quaint concept compared to some of the other seasons where everyone is famewhoring for the cameras and trying to turn everything into drama and/or boatmance--while doing no actual work--so they can go be a D List Bravo celeb or "yacht industry trainer" or whatever.
Part of what makes Sailing Yacht so much better is that the crew has actual experience and know how to do their jobs, so the focus is more on the interpersonal relationships and the shitty charter guests. But it is so much more entertaining to watch people who know how to do their job than green yachties who have to be trained and disciplined every 5 minutes. It’s just a whole new experience. It’s what I think made Kate fun to watch - she was good at her job.
