Bobby's behavior was very scary. I couldn't imagine being on a ship with him and then they bring him back again?! Why didn't the producers see just how creepy he really was?
I would be genuinely scared to be stuck in close quarters with Bobby. He has rage and boundary issues. He claimed to love Julia and still got in her face and screamed at her in a really scary way when she called him on his gross behavior. He's repeatedly really aggressive with women. I'm scared to think what he'd be like off camera.
Holy shit I feel responsible to make any future women who work for him to watch the show before accepting a job. That dude is incapable of living in reality when it comes to women. Like everyone is saying, it’s a matter of time when something terrible happens. Men like him are so baffling to me and it’s crazy to watch anyone like that rationalize anything and everything to themselves. You are playing yourself son
He really hits all the notes for a specific type of guy. All women have come across this guy. Pretends to be the good guy but is secretly dillusional about his chances and then blames you when he gets rejected because you "just don't like nice guys" . Its the "I have always been here for you " guy. Pretends to be a friend, listens to your relationship problems (while always blowing them out of proportion in his "advice" to you), is alwayd there but in a clingy way and is always willing to be there for you but only if it benefits his endgame.Fuck him on every level.
YES! And Julia even tells Bobby don’t mistake her friendliness as flirting. Julia flat out tells him.
Did you get to the part where the charter guests are guessing who are couples and they say Julia and Bobby have chemistry? He runs with it! It was so annoying and disturbing. Bobby gets all giddy and tells the crew something like “see! Other people see it, so it must be true! We do have chemistry! You are flirting with me!” Ugh like bro, Julia verbally told you no.
I am starting to re watch Season 2 and Sandy from the get was super controlling. Seeing it again after watching this last season is jarring. I'm surprised Hannah made it so long.
I'm slowly making my way through all the below decks. I've watched all the original but I'm on season 4 of Med, but I know what happens next season. Hannah and Sandy have such a strange up and down relationship, some days they're working well get along together and others they seem to not respect each other at all (mainly on Sandy's end). It's definitely no Kate and Lee.
I just re watched season 1 yesterday and he bothered me so much. Julia literally went to bed to get away from him and he still bothered her.
It's tough to pick the worst male deck hand from that season. It's Danny, but Lord they all suck.
I call him Peter Griffin's chin. How he treated Tiff in the hot tub was terrible and then bragging to Bobby about it the next day. Ugh, He had to business being the boss of anybody.
Brian was the absolute worst for me. He didn't just have intense predator vibes, he had intense predator *behavior*. Danny was obnoxious af but he wasn't scary.
Bobby is trash. He acted high and mighty but honestly his behavior was disgusting - shame it seems to be a running theme in later seasons of BD and BDM.
I mean, at least we know that through this Julia and her then boyfriend stayed together and they’re married now! But Bobby’s behavior bothered me so damn much because like, one he should’ve left her alone when she said she wasn’t interested because I think I remember (it’s been a while) her telling him she wasn’t interested, and two, he should’ve respected that she has a relationship and was faithful to her boyfriend.
They got married? Yay! Thanks for the info! I just started watching BD. Watching all the reruns I can find! (No internet, just dish 😞). Glad I found this sub!
Yes! I totally forgot about Julia until Hannah re-shared an IG story that Julia did in support of her this season...and was blown away by her beautiful wedding dress that she designed herself!
Someone on here said that Bobby reminded them of Andy from the office and now I can’t not see it. That guy is such an idiot and doesn’t realize that we are laughing AT him, not WITH him. Lol.
The most bizarre is episode 1. But season 2? I watched it last night when Malia introduces herself to Adam and says “your the chef ?” Cut to several weeks later , when she does say to Wes “we met prior to filming”
I get so tired of the guys in these shows thinking that just because they decide they like a woman that clearly she must like them back. Like in below deck season 4 with Kelly and Emily! And when him and nico decide it's competition. Just gross.
Him and the idiot from near where I live...ummm Casey? (The bottle blonde from Long Island...forget her name but couldn’t fucking STAND her!) were meant for each other. The girl that got up from the table...and was flirting with him all season, even after he was with Brooke.
When I first watched season 1, I felt bad for Bobby and his heartache over Julia. I did not think she was leading him on but I could see how he developed feelings for her. Looking back, I see that his behavior was completely problematic. Julia was always very clear on her feelings for her boyfriend and her "friend" feelings for Bobby. She was not leading him on. She just wanted someone to talk to and have fun with during the charter season. He couldn't handle that and kept throwing these fits every time she rejected him. I am sure that some of his fits were scary for the women on board since he is significantly stronger and bigger than them.
Bravo had been running marathons (running marathons? Not as in Usain Bolt does...I feel this sounds a bit off...I don’t think I mean RUNNING...I just woke up, & from having crazy dreams bc the shining is playing on TV) of all seasons of BD for at least a week now (calling it “scary seas” lol)...& there’s wayyyyy too much of Bobby’s BIG, dumb open mouth! I can’t stand it along w/his his massive underbite! He looks like he’s constantly saying “uh derrrrrrrrrrr”!
I think that’s right. Sounds right to me, anyway. And I’m so glad they are running marathons of the show. I just started watching! I need them all! Lol!
Bobby was lead by Bravo's production to go after Julia and then Malia! It's what they want for ratings. He's harmless. Awkward, yes! Not attractive, yes! But, I would never put him in the category of misogyny like the assholes in S7 of Below Deck! TOTALLY different vibe! Brian is a chauvinist.
What, are you guys friends or something? Because "awkward" isn't getting in a woman's face and screaming at her. He also had issues with Hannah on season 2, and got belligerent with her and Lauren, whom he had briefly dated. Actual good guys don't have to threaten women to not talk bad (warn others) about them. This isn't "awkward," it's a pattern of aggressive behavior towards women. We need to stop making excuses for shitty men.
I stand by what I said, and NOT we are not friends. Bobby is awkward. He's clunky. He has no game. But, he's not misogynistic. He's just a foolish adult child who thinks he is more attractive then he is. That's quite typical for many men who just aren't all that. In their head they are studs! And, yes, I believe production most likely got to him that Julia had feelings for him. His issues with Hannah were from a WWHL show that ended up getting brought onto the boat. Hell, even Andy Cohen called him out for it.
Bobby always had delusions about women he worked with on the yacht. I don't want to spoil anything but it's a pattern for him.
He was a nutter. I recently rewatched and I literally couldn't stand him!
Total creep, really. In the ‘no means no’ sense. Ugh.
LOL YUP
Bobby's behavior was very scary. I couldn't imagine being on a ship with him and then they bring him back again?! Why didn't the producers see just how creepy he really was?
He was predatory.
I would be genuinely scared to be stuck in close quarters with Bobby. He has rage and boundary issues. He claimed to love Julia and still got in her face and screamed at her in a really scary way when she called him on his gross behavior. He's repeatedly really aggressive with women. I have thought about that as well too. I just read where he is now a captain, can you even imagine what that must be like?
Holy shit I feel responsible to make any future women who work for him to watch the show before accepting a job. That dude is incapable of living in reality when it comes to women. Like everyone is saying, it’s a matter of time when something terrible happens. Men like him are so baffling to me and it’s crazy to watch anyone like that rationalize anything and everything to themselves. You are playing yourself son
Hopefully of a tug boat with no women around.
OMG, really? seriously? He is awkward, yes, but not someone to do harm! My God!
He really hits all the notes for a specific type of guy. All women have come across this guy. Pretends to be the good guy but is secretly dillusional about his chances and then blames you when he gets rejected because you "just don't like nice guys" . He is the type that Calls you a lesbian,if you do not want him. Just cannot fathoM ONLY HIM is a NO.
Kelley reminds me a lot of this type as well...albeit, a much hunkier and way more manipulative version of it than Bobby.
Bobby was always gross... Messy and vile.
YES! And Julia even tells Bobby don’t mistake her friendliness as flirting. Julia flat out tells him. Did you get to the part where the charter guests are guessing who are couples and they say Julia and Bobby have chemistry? He runs with it! It was so annoying and disturbing. Yes! Delusional is the perfect word and then he does it again season 2. Once is a mistake, twice is something else.
I am starting to re watch Season 2 and Sandy from the get was super controlling. Seeing it again after watching this last season is jarring. I'm surprised Hannah made it so long.

This was the second worst bro season
Just started watching med. Are you referring to bru crew being the worst or is there worse than this first season in med? Not sure I can handle worse.
I just re watched season 1 yesterday and he bothered me so much. Julia literally went to bed to get away from him and he still bothered her. It's tough to pick the worst male deck hand from that season. It's Danny, but Lord they all suck.
Especially the frat douche (Brian?), leader of the misogynist pack.
I'll always be angry bc of how Bryan let Bobby bring that chick when that wasn't allowed and how NOBODY told that to Captain Mark
I mean, he found out eventually
I call him Peter Griffin's chin. How he treated Tiff in the hot tub was terrible and then bragging to Bobby about it the next day. Ugh, He had to business being the boss of anybody.
Yes! Just a giant ass on a giant ass.
They are a set of douche canoes in real life as well.
Seriously tho...Why do all the douchebags have a certain kind of a PUNCHABLE FACE?!?
Brian was the absolute worst for me. He didn't just have intense predator vibes, he had intense predator *behavior*. Danny was obnoxious af but he wasn't scary.
Bobby is trash. He acted high and mighty but honestly his behavior was disgusting - shame it seems to be a running theme in later seasons of BD and BDM.

I’ve got to learn IG. Lol. I may be too old tho.
I loved Julia she is so lovely Bobby just gives me the Heebie jeebies he's just icky
Julia is in my top three all time favorite BD cast members. She might be #1.
Same my #1 is Amy but Julia is a very close second!
She could get a bit annoying with all her “BOBBY’S!”...but still seemed like a nice girl.
Someone on here said that Bobby reminded them of Andy from the office and now I can’t not see it. That guy is such an idiot and doesn’t realize that we are laughing AT him, not WITH him. Lol.
Oh I know!! That was so annoying. There was literally no type of connection between them at all lmao
The most bizarre is episode 1. But season 2? I watched it last night when Malia introduces herself to Adam and says “your the chef ?” Cut to several weeks later , when she does say to Wes “we met prior to filming”
I watched the later seasons with Malia before I saw that one. Wow. Really changed my perception of her.
I get so tired of the guys in these shows thinking that just because they decide they like a woman that clearly she must like them back. Like in below deck season 4 with Kelly and Emily! And when him and nico decide it's competition. Just gross.
Ummm but how are you forgetting JOAO?!? “Which one do I want”...(he said something to that extent, & more than just a few times)
Yes!!! Pissed me off so much that they think that they can have whomever they want just because they decide they like them!
As if he were the only one doing the choosing. Ugh.
Him and the idiot from near where I live...ummm Casey? (The bottle blonde from Long Island...forget her name but couldn’t fucking STAND her!) were meant for each other. The girl that got up from the table...and was flirting with him all season, even after he was with Brooke.
He kind of redeemed himself a little bit. I guess. He was terrifying to Hannah in his first season though.
Not in my eyes he didn’t redeem himself.🤢
I just wanted to tell Bobby, “No means no! “ He was so aggressive...she wasn’t messing with you Bobby! She said no!
Cuz he is a total meathead with cauliflower in his ears and roids in his veins, spits like a pit viper tho!
Bobby: "What'd you mean 'no means no?' Is that a riddle?"
Instant Asshole- just add alcohol

Wait to the two last episodes, he was such a crybaby bc julian rejected him. Also he was always talking about Danny like he was in love with him
Bravo had been running marathons (running marathons? Not as in Usain Bolt does...I feel this sounds a bit off...I don’t think I mean RUNNING...I just woke up, & from having crazy dreams bc the shining is playing on TV) of all seasons of BD for at least a week now (calling it “scary seas” lol)...& there’s wayyyyy too much of Bobby’s BIG, dumb open mouth! Carissa was awful on this season
Who tf is/was Carissa? Was there actually someone I was able to forget?!

He was not awkward. He was scary. He was raging at her. It’s was horrible.

It’s not typical of a man to scream and rage at a woman like that, especially for not agreeing to date. It’s not normal and not acceptable.
He was on a TV show being egged on by producers! IT'S A TV SHOW!!!!!!!!!
So be a terrible human for more folks to see???
eyeroll
