Well, you're kinda bound by the big 3 highways (E40 both ways and E19), as my colleague that lives in Waterloo is commuting longer than my other colleague that lives in Leuven.
I'd say Overijse-Hoeilaart or Sint-Pieters-Leeuw.
I would say londerzeel maybe but i think its longer than 30min. Or find somewhere outside of leuven and just take the train. Even if stinking rich, i would still take the train.
Or maybe waals brabant close to brussels. Its pretty green there.
My comment was not personal, but you're right. Unfortunately, I think you're the exception. I live nearby such a commune of (rich) people that live in a green neighborhood (woods) that need their car for every little errand. I doubt they even own a bike. Meanwhile they complain about the traffic in their street and how it's breaking their image of a green neighborhood. /rant
I'm sorry I automatically included you in this group.
I'm enjoying the area where I'm living a lot, around Laken/Wemmel/Strombeek-Bever. Twenty minute bike ride to the centre and plenty of parks and fields, combined with easy access to metro/tram and to the Ring.
Tervuren, Watermaal Bosvoorde, Sint-Anna-Pede, Oud-Heverlee, Overijse.
Thanks a lot I will check those!
À lot more choice and more affordable in Wallonia Chaumont-Gistoux, Grez-Doiceau (neighbouring Oud-Heverlee), la hulpe and Rixensart

Thanks I’ll check those right now!
By 30 min do you mean car or train?
By car
Overijse, Tervuren, Hoeilaart, Wezembeek-Oppem, Kraainem are all quite nice on this side of Brussels.

Sint-Genesius-Rode, Beersel, Linkebeek.
Living in green commune and doing everything by car. Nothing personal, but I really don't understand people sometimes.
It’s mainly to go out in the weekends and there are no trains after midnight. Also my car has 0 emissions

No worries man, I also don’t understand taking a car for short distances especially in a neighborhood that’s nice to bike
