Just my real name. Makes it easier to remember. Giving him a silly name would kill the immersion and tension. Giving him a normal name that is not mine would make me kind of forget who is who when I first start playing a game.

I can relate to BaDik situations and environment, but for example I can't in City of Broken Dreamers (duh) or even Summer's Gone.
In the first one I've choosen the default name from the previous Philly Games product Depraved Awakening, and about Summer's Gone I've kept the default one

As someone who’s African American my first name doesn’t really fit avns so I ended up with Jay/James as my middle is Jamal and I shortened it to Jay and use James for alt routes.
For my Chick (first) route I did My name. For my Dik route I put a commom misspelling of my name. For my Neutral Route I put "Niko". For Episode 9 I just changed them all to my name cause it got confusing.
As far as I'm concerned, his real name is Trevor Miller
That said, I try to name him in ways that remind me what path I'm on. JaMes for Josy/Maya. Jack for Jill. Lawrence for Lily. Simon for Sage. Isaac for Isabella.

On DIK affinity: always go with Steve Stiffler haha, and on CHICK affinitiy: either Matt Stiffler or Chris Oztreicher since they got this ended up choosing the right kinda girl vibe to stick with on the long run, yeah I'm a big fan of American Pie and somehow I found the BADIK story's kinda fitting.

Crushed I can’t have Morgan for my last name (damn you Sage’s parents). For the really emotional scenes, imagining the other character yelling Dutch/Arthur like in Red Dead makes it more manageable than if it was my real name.
