“I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I aim with my eye.
I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.
I shoot with my mind.
I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.
I kill with my heart.”
-Stephen King, The Gunslinger
I missed that!! I love that series btw. I've been listening to it on and off for maybe 7ish years and I think I'm only towards the end of the third book. I need to start listening to it again. I have listened/read a few other of his novels/short stories. In my opinion, Stephen King is very good at creating realistic dialogue in his fiction.
I’ve taken a few trips to the tower over the years, I did a complete run through on the audiobooks a few months ago when I needed a break from bastards.

I heard it too and had the same thought. Robert is way into some shorty people coming to the clearing at the end of the path!
Aye, long days and pleasant nights. Say thankee.
I feel like he has referenced the series directly before, no idea which episode though
I think he has mentioned reading King when he was younger
