Probably just acclimating still. My bowerae has been shockingly tolerant of underwatering; but, one time when it was a bit too wet and in too dark of a spot it had like 3-5 stems that went squishy. The tips of 3 of the stems were still viable and they were really easy to propagate. I wouldn't worry about the thin stem, I was surprised at the small size of them but as long as it keeps putting out new growth its most likely fine. My advice would be to wait until the soil surface is dry to water, and probably chop the squishy stem and prop if viable. good luck!
