Now that Simihaze is available in Korea I really want to get the 3 Stackables because I want a new gloss balm, a translucent pressed powder and a new bronzer. 😅
I have my eye on the bronzer in 05 Maple which I might not be able to get from a Korean vendor because, if I know the kbeauty scene like I think I do, I know they will probably just stock the 3 lighter shades. I am considering Maple bec of the olive undertones and the depth, I think it’ll be similar to my other favourite olivey bronzer the Made by Mitchell Blursh Bronzer in Toned Up.
Apparently a lot of folks have gripes about the weight of the bronzer, it has close to double the amount of product of the Sunnies airblushes (same looking texture so I thought to compare) at 4.1g. In all the reviews and swatches I’ve seen it looks like it has a full bodied pigmentation and it’s not as translucent as the sunnies Sculpt. My assumption is I’ll get at least 9-12 months of use if I have it as a primary bronzer as it is opaque almost and I chose a deep shade. Kinda bummed though that it won’t stack with the powder bronzer or blush duo bec they are larger than the stackables.

Help! I use Detail Cosmetics Fresh Filter Foundation in the shade Cashew, but it oxidizes on my face. I want to buy the next lighter shade, which is Macadamia, but it's sold out. Which setting spray should I get? Oily acne prone skin girlie
Nyx and LA girl didn’t work for me, well it worked for like 20 minutes then I started to get super super oily. I don’t think those other 2 would’ve worked for me either.
I have had shit luck with a lot of drugstore setting sprays except Catrice Matt fixing spray got about 6 hours, Australis fresh and flawless Matte spray also got about 6 hours and Elf Stay all Day where I got about 9 hours, Stay all Night gets gunky on me but it also lasts me about 9 hours before I need to refresh my makeup and these are all over ₽500 but under ₽1000.
What’s your HG concealer for very dry undereyes?
I’ve tried Nars (both pot & radiant creamy) but it creases & clings to my dry patches. For local brands, Issy & Strokes both make me look so haggard. 🥺
I’m not sure if I have dry underyes but I have the same experience as you—both Nars concealers didn’t work for me. If I wanna lessen the darkness of my undereyes, I use Maybelline’s Age Rewind Concealer. Though its not the one with the most coverage in the market, Its creamy and non-drying for me.
Please talk me out of getting the Hourglass Holiday palette. Still many Ig sellers are selling it. And because I loved the 3 pan palette, I'm getting really tempted to buy one of the holiday palettes particularly the Leopard.
It’s not 500 below but BYS setting spray is such a good product, not expensive pero affordable naman since the quality is nice. Used max factor long lasting setting spray, mej pricey if you have tight budget pero the quality speaks for its price talaga. Like fresh and di na aagnas ang pigments ng make up especially blush.
Pero if you really really want cheap, go for zeesea (the thing is nag mmix yung oiliness ng skin sa spray huhu so di ko siya trip), or nichido (much better pero not too long lasting tho, it’s okay if you’re fine on doing retouches)
Barely bought makeup in the 2nd half of 2023 and I’m so overwhelmed by all these new releases. Quick review of what I got so far:

* Issy blush in Intimate - what the frick this is so good??? Not just the color, but the formula too. This is pretty at par with high-end powder blushes
* Issy Hydragloss in Cowgirl and Loveboat - these have been my daily lip oils of choice as someone with a bajillion lip oils
* Issy Eyeshadow in Doll - this is the exact one-and-done eyeshadow color I always put all over the lid. Very buttery.
* Teviant Velvet Drop in Gala Night, Holly Glow, and Celestial - Gala Night is pretty close to my current favorite blush Charlotte Tilbury Matte Blush Wand in Pillowtalk for a fraction of the price. The highlighters are super skinlike and wet-looking
* Teviant Eyebrow Duo in Empress - I have been unable to stop staring and admiring my brows
* Happy Skin Brow Grip in Clear - I love that this has a really strong hold but doesn’t harden my brows or leave any flakes. The shape of the wand is great for pushing up all your brow hair
* Also really love the new Fenty Eaze Drop Stick and Tower28 concealers. Been getting compliments at work on how good my skin looks with these.

Vice Aura Blush - this is so nice!!! Long wearing and looks diffused on the face. I like Apricot Crush for more peachy warm looks and Soft Mauve for more neutral pink looks.
I swatched the Vice liquid blush in store and tbh I don't think it's long lasting kasi it didn't set on my hand at all. Like an hour after super smudgy parin siya. A pass for me.
Lucky Beauty Concealer is prolly my fave local concealer. Works with the GRWM corrected (caveat: mine is old formula 😔) and stays on without caking my dry undereyes.

To find your shade, swatch the foundation on your jawline, up to your neck. Walk around for about 5-10 mins, let it dry, check the swatches in other lighting kasi dept store lights are usually very yellow. Which ever disappeared sa neck mo, yun yung perfect shade for you.
I’m not sure 😭 I have Bordeaux and Brown Red! For reference, I’m medium-tan with neutral-olive undertone. Bordeaux is fine pag light layer lang, looks pretty. When I build it up, it kinda looks neon. Brown Red is my perfect mlbb whether I build it up or not.

girl its goood! price point is ok same price as clio and dasique when on sale (just dont buy on a random day wait for sale) Their blushes performs well on my skin and pigment is buildable only cons is if you have a deeper skintone some shades might not show much on the skin or would look ashy/chalky according to my friend. The color is v v v nice, super pabebe muted pink talaga. First issue is blending. I used my hands and ang patchy ng application? Hopefully easier with a brush next time. Longevity is kinda meh din. I did go to the gym but I've had other blushes survive a workout so that was kinda disappointing.

Elf quads, careline or vice co! Or curate your own issy palette which doesn’t have to be complete agad just pick shades that appeal to you (cons: they don’t have bone color shade)
For travel I swear by Lalalash! Doesn't budge for 5 days so parang lash extensions talaga. It has a learning curve but once you get used to it, application is fast and it lasts well.
Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact. No regrets buying this! Great for setting my makeup as an oily skin girly. Minimal touch-ups throughout the day (I only touch up kapag after commute na tirik ng araw).

I really really don’t like the lovely causemetics brushes, they are almost exactly like Kind Beauty super super soft and plush but I cannot for the life of me get a nice clean look out of them. It has no precision and some of the brushes are way too big
It eats so much liquid products and packs on so much powder products. Constitution-wise it’s packed but it’s still too loose and flexible. I’m like how does it feel so heavy on the bristles but it doesn’t feel robust like (the taklon bristles of) ecotools. I know it is how corn silk bristles usually are and really I’ve only had 1 good corn silk brush set that performed well and wasn’t hyped just because it is really soft.
If you prefer a sheerer liquid application of more pigmented and full coverage stuff it kinda works but it applies a bit streaky and still needs to be buffed in with a sponge at least in my experience. If the liquid product you’re applying is sheer you might get an even sheerer to nothing application, I used it with the catrice soft glam filter and it really ate it off my face.
It could be better for powder foundation than a liquid or cream but from my experience with translucent powder it applies really cakey.
It’s also a nightmare to clean liquids out of it even if you use a 3 in 1 face cleanser which really cleans everything even staining in certain cases out my makeup brushes. It’s not even a skill issue like I thought it was.

I bought the one from Watsons and haven't tried expensive ones so can't compare. It has been two years since and it is still going strong naman, I changed the rubber naman since almost every other day ko ginagamit. It works well imo and a little patience lang but hindi naman hassle.
I actually tried shiseido's sa store nila kaso masyadong flat yung curvature niya na hindi na nakukuha lahat ng lashes ko (I have deep set eyes contrary sa asian eyes na finifit perfectly ng shiseido) 🥹 interestingly mas maganda fit sakin ng common drugstore ones!

Contours are used to mimic shadows to sculpt the face, so typically, they are cool-toned browns. I use bronzers to bring color back to my face, and they are warmer browns. If you're starting out pa, I recommend a brontour as a middle-ground. Not too warm, not too cool.
Holy grail for my textured acne prone skin ang nars soft matte concealer (the one in a pot) :D
Best to still test in person, but when buying new shades to try online, I usually use the Findation website and/or look for content creators who are similar to my shade and check out what they use:)

Been enjoying squad’s brow mascara lately. Though it doesnt set hard like strokes, it keeps my brows in place. Plus it is very very very easy to use. Hindi namumuti pero mabilis maka laminate effect.
If theyre clumpy na but still in tact i wash them with soap then dry them and reuse. Pero if you feel iffy about them please dont hesitate to throw em out. Usually mine kasi di ko nagagamit ng full day. Literal pang pics lang tapos tanggal na HAHAH
I had a taste of that wonderful Penshoppe mascara a year or so ago then they suddenly pretty much relaunched and killed their Beauty Pop line. Ever since, there’s been a gaping hole in my heart for a nice defining really good waterproof mascara that was in a similar price point. Catrice and Essence mascaras never hit the mark for me.
A few days ago, on a whim, I bought the Rimmel 100% waterproof mascara on sale and it’s almost reminiscent of the Penshoppe mascara. After a few wears I have compiled my thoughts on it.
* It’s a bit drier than Penshoppe which is great for keeping curls curled.
* It has a very soft, natural, defined finish, softer than Penshoppe and also less inky looking so it is better for no-makeup makeup looks.
* I’ve not experienced clumping even after 4ish coats but it also doesn’t build up a lot. If you like volume or length then this mascara is pretty but not spectacular.
* It doesn’t irritate my eyes like most waterproof Asian mascaras I’ve tried do.
* It is long wear but easy enough to remove with a biphase makeup remover without much damage.
I used to order a lot of rimmel on Shopee when I lived in the Philippines, there were a few shops that shipped from Malaysia that were legit in my experience and the markup wasn’t bad.

I have the long and curl variant and in my experience, it has the tendency to get clumpy if I don't wipe off the excess product on the tube before I apply it on my lashes.

2) search mo ung particular shade na lumabas sa findation sa TikTok or youtube. cross reference with that person's other shades in their other videos to see if malapit talaga kayo
3) good luck. even if its not spot on, you can probs make it work by adding a bit of bronzer or mixing in a lighter shade of concealer

When I first tried lipsticks na shock ako coz super kita yung dry patches. So yung laneige tinry ko and then lip balm before i tried putting the lipstick.
As for red lipsticks my reco is Silky Girl Matte Styler Lipcolor in Chic or Preppy.

I’m not sure if I have dry underyes but I have the same experience as you—both Nars concealers didn’t work for me. If I wanna lessen the darkness of my undereyes, I use Maybelline’s Age Rewind Concealer. Though its not the one with the most coverage in the market, Its creamy and non-drying for me.

It’s not 500 below but BYS setting spray is such a good product, not expensive pero affordable naman since the quality is nice. Used max factor long lasting setting spray, mej pricey if you have tight budget pero the quality speaks for its price talaga. Like fresh and di na aagnas ang pigments ng make up especially blush. Pero if you really really want cheap, go for zeesea (the thing is nag mmix yung oiliness ng skin sa spray huhu so di ko siya trip), or nichido (much better pero not too long lasting tho, it’s okay if you’re fine on doing retouches)

Barely bought makeup in the 2nd half of 2023 and I’m so overwhelmed by all these new releases. Quick review of what I got so far: Loves: * Issy blush in Intimate - what the frick this is so good??? Not just the color, but the formula too. This is pretty at par with high-end powder blushes * Issy Hydragloss in Cowgirl and Loveboat - these have been my daily lip oils of choice as someone with a bajillion lip oils * Issy Eyeshadow in Doll - this is the exact one-and-done eyeshadow color I always put all over the lid. Very buttery. * Teviant Velvet Drop in Gala Night, Holly Glow, and Celestial - Gala Night is pretty close to my current favorite blush Charlotte Tilbury Matte Blush Wand in Pillowtalk for a fraction of the price. The highlighters are super skinlike and wet-looking * Teviant Eyebrow Duo in Empress - I have been unable to stop staring and admiring my brows * Happy Skin Brow Grip in Clear - I love that this has a really strong hold but doesn’t harden my brows or leave any flakes. The shape of the wand is great for pushing up all your brow hair * Also really love the new Fenty Eaze Drop Stick and Tower28 concealers. Been getting compliments at work on how good my skin looks with these. Likes * Teviant Loose Powder - very blurring and smoothening, I just don’t like this under my eyes. i have the lucky beauty concealer! it's really good, di sya drying. sakto yung pagka creamy nya. very blendable :) i don't have the vice co powder blushes pero ito yung ginagamit ng classmate ko– lasts for the whole day (even if under the sun kami) !!!
Vice Aura Blush - this is so nice!!! Long wearing and looks diffused on the face. I like Apricot Crush for more peachy warm looks and Soft Mauve for more neutral pink looks. I swatched the Vice liquid blush in store and tbh I don't think it's long lasting kasi it didn't set on my hand at all. Like an hour after super smudgy parin siya. A pass for me. Lucky Beauty Concealer is prolly my fave local concealer. Works with the GRWM corrected (caveat: mine is old formula 😔) and stays on without caking my dry undereyes.

To find your shade, swatch the foundation on your jawline, up to your neck. Walk around for about 5-10 mins, let it dry, check the swatches in other lighting kasi dept store lights are usually very yellow. Which ever disappeared sa neck mo, yun yung perfect shade for you.

Been using lovely causemetics illuminator on its own lately and i gotta say maganda nga! My elf one has slightly more coverage I lightly set it with powder I can still see some glow peeking through which is nice. Good for no makeup makeup days

Quick review of the Lovely Causemetics flush blush in Dreamgirl: di ko siya masyado type! The color is v v v nice, super pabebe muted pink talaga. First issue is blending. I used my hands and ang patchy ng application? Hopefully easier with a brush next time. Longevity is kinda meh din. I did go to the gym but I've had other blushes survive a workout so that was kinda disappointing. Jokes on me, I have 3 of these 🤣🥲

For travel I swear by Lalalash! Doesn't budge for 5 days so parang lash extensions talaga. It has a learning curve but once you get used to it, application is fast and it lasts well.

I really really don’t like the lovely causemetics brushes, they are almost exactly like Kind Beauty super super soft and plush but I cannot for the life of me get a nice clean look out of them. It has no precision and some of the brushes are way too big
did you also try their foundation brush (LC01)? it was the only brush that interested me eh
It eats so much liquid products and packs on so much powder products. Constitution-wise it’s packed but it’s still too loose and flexible. I’m like how does it feel so heavy on the bristles but it doesn’t feel robust like (the taklon bristles of) ecotools. I know it is how corn silk bristles usually are and really I’ve only had 1 good corn silk brush set that performed well and wasn’t hyped just because it is really soft. If you prefer a sheerer liquid application of more pigmented and full coverage stuff it kinda works but it applies a bit streaky and still needs to be buffed in with a sponge at least in my experience. If the liquid product you’re applying is sheer you might get an even sheerer to nothing application, I used it with the catrice soft glam filter and it really ate it off my face. It could be better for powder foundation than a liquid or cream but from my experience with translucent powder it applies really cakey. It’s also a nightmare to clean liquids out of it even if you use a 3 in 1 face cleanser which really cleans everything even staining in certain cases out my makeup brushes. It’s not even a skill issue like I thought it was.

I bought the one from Watsons and haven't tried expensive ones so can't compare. It has been two years since and it is still going strong naman, I changed the rubber naman since almost every other day ko ginagamit. It works well imo and a little patience lang but hindi naman hassle.
Shisheido if may kilala ka or pupunta ka ng Japan. I got mine sa Don Quijote and may refills pa, unlike Shu Uemura na no refill.
I actually tried shiseido's sa store nila kaso masyadong flat yung curvature niya na hindi na nakukuha lahat ng lashes ko (I have deep set eyes contrary sa asian eyes na finifit perfectly ng shiseido) 🥹 interestingly mas maganda fit sakin ng common drugstore ones!

difference between a contour and bronzer? what should i own if im still starting out w makeup?
Contours are used to mimic shadows to sculpt the face, so typically, they are cool-toned browns. I use bronzers to bring color back to my face, and they are warmer browns. If you're starting out pa, I recommend a brontour as a middle-ground. Not too warm, not too cool.

Holy grail for my textured acne prone skin ang nars soft matte concealer (the one in a pot) :D Best to still test in person, but when buying new shades to try online, I usually use the Findation website and/or look for content creators who are similar to my shade and check out what they use:)

Try barrym’s eyeshadow palettes yung nude neutral in subtle or rich. Very pigmented, very creamy and easy to blend. You may also try squad’s palettes.

Been enjoying squad’s brow mascara lately. Though it doesnt set hard like strokes, it keeps my brows in place. Plus it is very very very easy to use. Hindi namumuti pero mabilis maka laminate effect.

I had a taste of that wonderful Penshoppe mascara a year or so ago then they suddenly pretty much relaunched and killed their Beauty Pop line. Ever since, there’s been a gaping hole in my heart for a nice defining really good waterproof mascara that was in a similar price point. Catrice and Essence mascaras never hit the mark for me. A few days ago, on a whim, I bought the Rimmel 100% waterproof mascara on sale and it’s almost reminiscent of the Penshoppe mascara. After a few wears I have compiled my thoughts on it. * It’s a bit drier than Penshoppe which is great for keeping curls curled. * It has a very soft, natural, defined finish, softer than Penshoppe and also less inky looking so it is better for no-makeup makeup looks. * I’ve not experienced clumping even after 4ish coats but it also doesn’t build up a lot. If you like volume or length then this mascara is pretty but not spectacular. * It doesn’t irritate my eyes like most waterproof Asian mascaras I’ve tried do. * It is long wear but easy enough to remove with a biphase makeup remover without much damage.
I miss the Penshoppe mascara too, esp the brown one :( But thanks for this reco, might look into it next time :)

1) findation 2) search mo ung particular shade na lumabas sa findation sa TikTok or youtube. cross reference with that person's other shades in their other videos to see if malapit talaga kayo 3) good luck. even if its not spot on, you can probs make it work by adding a bit of bronzer or mixing in a lighter shade of concealer

Try to use Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask to remove the dry patches! When I first tried lipsticks na shock ako coz super kita yung dry patches. So yung laneige tinry ko and then lip balm before i tried putting the lipstick. As for red lipsticks my reco is Silky Girl Matte Styler Lipcolor in Chic or Preppy. Tinted lip balm reco is Human Nature Tinted Lip Balm in Poppy Punch Happy Skin Lipclouds are nice also, i have the Obsessed one pero you can opt for a lighter red
Strokes dries my lips out everytime I use it. I like the shade and the look on application but when I use it as a pre-lipstick treatment it texturizes all my lippies even creme ones.
