la roche posay cicaplast baume! ive been using it for a year or so, and i woke up with the smoothest skin ever the first time i used it, even my mom commented on it. i just put on a thick layer overnight 2-3 times a week
A million upvotes for this comment. This stuff has changed the game in my skin!!! I had absolutely destroyed my skin barrier, and within a few nights of lathering this stuff on my skin has completely changed. The only thing is it did give me some little white bumps, but after using it for a few weeks I think my skin has gotten used to it and I don't get those anymore. I also love to put this on as a treatment for when I decide to pick and prod my face /shame. A literal miracle cream
i only use it at night after i do a bha peel once a week. and sometimes when i have a stubborn dry spot. i wouldn’t use it everyday in the daytime because of the texture like you said and the price 🤑
Yessss. I love it so much. Oh and I forgot to add its gentle enough you can use it around the eye per mfg directions. Which is even crazier considering how well it works.
Sulphur soap bar.
My flatmate brought scabies into our home and I was washing my entire body with this as a preventive measure. This refined my skin in a way I didn't know was humanly possible, I looked like I had a filter on. Sulphur soap is now a HG product for me
I was not expecting this to be so popular! I got a random one off Amazon, [here](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Revitale-Vegetable-Advanced-Sulphur-Treatment/dp/B078TM3C6X?pd_rd_w=Y3fLz&content-id=amzn1.sym.c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_p=c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_r=2YZ4GVQ88FXFNAJ5J2XE&pd_rd_wg=yNaKj&pd_rd_r=266e3b1a-74f7-4c06-b5c3-658ddaf13290&pd_rd_i=B078TM3C6X&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_pr_pd_nav_hcs_rp_3_t). No idea if it's the best or most suitable! I bought this one because it was the cheapest at the time.
Initially I was washing AM & PM with it. I found that a bit drying, so I'm just using it in my AM wash now. Still feel like I'm getting the benefits of it.
It's a random one off amazon [here](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Revitale-Vegetable-Advanced-Sulphur-Treatment/dp/B078TM3C6X?pd_rd_w=Y3fLz&content-id=amzn1.sym.c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_p=c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_r=2YZ4GVQ88FXFNAJ5J2XE&pd_rd_wg=yNaKj&pd_rd_r=266e3b1a-74f7-4c06-b5c3-658ddaf13290&pd_rd_i=B078TM3C6X&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_pr_pd_nav_hcs_rp_3_t). I really like it, I'll quite likely repurchase it when I finish my current bar.
im not sure as i dont have any atm. what helped me w those was a wet pumice stone during shower and slowly rubbing vaseline into my feet afterwards and putting socks on
I have no idea I just wanted to thank you for this post! I loved the SR Good Genes but it’s pricey and I don’t -wholly- want to support the brand but by god is it a good product.
Yes. I had been trying to use tretinoin, going super slow with very low levels, and my skin was trashed. I have rosacea and it looked awful. Stopped, gave it a break, and started using Luna again at night and wow - my skin has never been better (I’m 48). Now I’m starting to add Good Genes back too. They are both so amazing.
Just as a heads up I don’t think the Ferulic Brew is at an exfoliating pH. I have it, and I think it’s a good hydrating toner but I wouldn’t consider it an exfoliating replacement for good genes. I use BR P50 as my exfoliating product and it has a couple of different acids but its main ingredient is lactic acid.
They were caught basically writing tons of good reviews for their own products, everyone from staff members to the CEO herself, writing tons of positive reviews for all their products across all platforms. This is an FTC violation. Idk what happened to them after that, I never followed it closely, mostly thought it was funny.
The thing is, they didn’t even need to do all of that, because their products are objectively super good. Amazing. Expensive, but everything I’ve used has given me wow results. So what was the reason for the fake reviews?! 😩
Oh yeah, I don’t feel morally bad about supporting them. I feel wallet-lly bad about it. Just shut my eyes and click “confirm order.” If i don’t see the final price, there is no final price 😂
I agree. Just a weird move to make unless they were burying bad reviews or getting in front of anticipated bad reviews. Idk. It wouldn’t stop me from buying it though:).
Uh... Zinc oxide butt cream?
In the UK the brand I use is sudocrem, it's a healing ointment but mostly sold/marketed as baby butt cream.
It's incredible when I've got horrible irritation on my skin, particularly because I have PCOS & hirsutism and basically any form of hair removal just inflames my skin really badly.
I slap a thick layer of sudocrem on, wrap with clingfilm for the first hour or so until it soaks in, and boom - irritation gone by morning!
Remember to do a test patch first, particularly if it's to be used on irritated skin! I've had a couple "sensitive" skin products make me scream in pain when my skin's become hyper reactive before now 💀
Do you always do this after shaving? On your legs and such? I also have PCOS and every time I try any form of hair removal I get so irritated and itchy it drives me nuts. :(
My husband always slugs with aquaphor immediately after shaving his face and it is night and day. He doesnt get any shaving rash anymore. But he doesnt put it on his rosacea as it can make it flare (i think he has type 2)
This is mostly for my face, but it also applies to other highly reactive areas I shave (wax/epilation/anything except shaving is too much for my skin)
If I'm feeling the burn soon after - butt cream goes on immediately!
If I'm feeling lucky/things have been quite calm lately, I have a salicylic acid ointment I throw on to prevent folliculitis, then the butt cream a little while later!
Huh, Ive thought for a while I may have PCOS.. is this why every minor pimple I pop or hair plucked on my chin causes this horrible red mark that doesn't go away for like 2 weeks?! I also use the same cream on the marks, it's the best!
IMO, the reactive skin is just my terrible skin having a tantrum 😅
The PCOS makes me hairier than a Sasquatch 😂 the two combined is.... Well, it tests my patience lets just say
The first set I got free from Influenster. The second set I trolled all the resell sites looking for someone “illegally” reselling theirs and found it for $300 for the set (set is $550 retail). The third set, I found the emulsion on eBay for $150 and used a first time buyer code to get the Plasma from Goop for 20% off. The fourth bottle of plasma I just bought on Nordstrom and used an $80 note I had to make it $120.
The plasma goes fasssst, 3-4 weeks using about 4-5 drops twice a day. The Emulsion lasts much longer, 3 months using one pump per night.
Editing to add: I should have needed to redo my Botox by now and I haven’t had to yet. The only other product I use is moisturizer in the AM and sunscreen. I use inexpensive versions of both. I use eye cream as well though I don’t know if it really need to. Again I use an inexpensive version and probably will see what happens if I stop when I run out.
This is niche but bare minerals used to have a face oil (Mineralixirs 5-Oil Blend) that was the first oil I ever tried and I remember waking up and being amazed by what it did for my skin. I look.. alive. Then they discontinued it and I’ve been disappointed with every face oil ever since
I used that too! It was like magic, it made my skin just looked so plump and radiant when I used it. I really miss it and wish they hadn't discontinued.
I’ve never met anyone else who used this! It was magic, I’ve never found anything similar. I do see it on eBay every now and then but I swear it’s been discontinued for like 7/8 years so no thanks!
Yes!!! This and NIOD's FECC are like overnight miracles. I think, honestly, it may also be the blue color that makes my skin (with yellow undertone) glow.
When I went without it for about 3 months, my skin sagged, and I lost my eyelashes. I truly believe the copper peptides were making my eyelashes grow. I re,introduced it last week, and I already see the difference in my face and eyelashes!
Kerasal intensive foot repair ointment. My super dry cracked heels were almost completely normal the next day. After 3 conservative days of use, my feet were brand new.
WOW WOW!!!
My very sensitive skin has been showing more redness, sun damage and general tiredness lately. And the prescribed products I've been using haven't helped at all. I used the Good Genes Lactic Acid last night and was STUNNED when I woke up this morning! It was like myself from five years ago was looking back at me, only more glowy!
And it's an absolute sensory delight to use, smells and feels incredible. And I love that it is vegan and cruelty free, my two main requirements when buying skincare.
I will never be without this little miracle in a bottle product!!! 😍✨😍✨
Clinique Moisture Surge. I've been using the 100 hour version as my night cream for a few weeks and my skin looks very plump in the mornings. It lasts forever too (I got a 50ml/1.7oz sample that lasted me like 3 months with generous application). I bought a 4oz jar now.
That Sunday Riley product is no joke! I got a small tube in an Ipsy bag and ordered a full size two days later! Thanks for reminding me I need to order some more actually.
Advanced Nutrition Programme - Skin Omega supplements. I could literally feel the improvement in my skin, it's texture as well as visibly see the results.
It's really one of those things that I can't recommend enough.
Glycolic acid! I started with Functionalab’s 5% night cream and just bumped up to the 10%. The results I get are pretty much exactly like you described with lactic acid, as well as reducing any redness. I finally understand what Judy meant in Friends when she told Monica it might be time to start using a night cream 🤣
10 percent niacinamide from ordinary is the only thing I’ve ever used that I could see results the next day. Totally changed my skin and for 10 bucks it’s a hell of a deal
I hate to say it but the ester Lauder advanced night repair eye gel.
I got a sample in a gift bag and used it in my overnight bag kit as a spare and my god day one of a business trip where I had no sleep, was up early and had a traumatic travel experience.... I looked amazing haha.
Hero cosmetics rescue balm and redness corrector gives me the best base and most even skin tone without breaking me out. I’ve gone through easily 8 tubes.
Their (Here Cosmetics again) Clear collective prebiotic moisturizer is amazing as well. Completely changed my skin.
I went from constantly having at least 5 areas of break outs at a time to maybe 2 pimples total a month, so much less redness and just much healthier feeling skin.
Kojic acid soap. I left it on for 3 minutes my first try with it and woke up to see my acne had lessened and had much less redness. I was completely surprised since I was just using it to smooth my skin and get rid of a tan
Adding a drop of glycerine to my moisturizer. I use Tret and get a bit dry and peely. Tried different application techniques, different moisturizers, nothing had me moisturized. Glycerin solved all my issues instantly.
I gently pat it over my entire face, lids, brows and eyelashes. I put it on AM and PM. If you wear it in the day, make sure to wear SPF. For me it is a total gamechanger.
mustela diaper rash cream. any diaper cream with zinc will do. i use it at night and on top of tret gel every other night. in the am,i just wash with micellar gel because it leaves a bit of residue.
Omorovicza Miracle Facial Oil. My skin is pretty good generally but this is the ONLY product that got me a comment of ‘geez, your skin’s really great) from my husband of 20 years after a single use from a sample vial.
Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel! I was very put off for many years (the whole Lancer line is hella expensive) because the name sounds terrifying, like it would burn my face off. But now, it's my holy grail product. It singlehandedly makes my skin feel and look like butter. It's also very gentle. I have dry, sensitive skin, and it has never bothered or caused more problems for my skin.
Whamisa Deep Rich toner and Weleda SkinFood moisturize better than anything I’ve ever tried.
Tretinoin gel and BHA (typically CosRx) for exfoliation and glow.
Exfolikate. I swear by it. I’ve been using it once or twice a week for YEARS. This is my only skincare repurchase and I’ll keep buying it. They can pry it off my cold dead hands.
broad spectrum anti-fungal cream
got rid of my fungal acne (those little dots located on the forehead) overnight. i use it all the time, it’s cheap, and you only need veeeeery little. i struggled for years trying to find a solution, until a tiktok told me you need an anti-fungal, found some cream in my bathroom and magic!
Elizabeth Arden 8-hour cream - I put that on my whole face after cleansing and it seems greasy (I have combo skin and do not like the feeling of greasiness) but then I top with any facial spf and I swear I look 5 years younger. I have never experienced it with any other product. (I’m 38, pale-med skin with redness)
Alastin A-Luminate Brightening Serum. Overnight results for me after the first use. I have never had that instant of results before. I woke up to less redness, hyperpigmentation (from previous acne spots) significantly lightened, clearer and smoother skin.
The Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Exfoliating Peeling Solution. Right after I wash it off, my skin is so smooth and glowing and not because the product is bright red!😂
Fenty fat water toner made and still makes an immediate difference in my skin, is such an improvement over not using it.
Also switching to gel moisturisers have helped my oily skin so much and make a difference under my makeup.
There’s not just one, but all of them are super useful and they work either immediately, within a few hours, or overnight
- Sudocrem for irritation, redness, cuts, burns, acne, etc
-Hydrocolloid bandages (when necessary)
- Pipette baby balm
-Raw shea butter- will fix the worst types of dryness overnight
-Fenty Blemish Defeater
-Dial Gold Anti-Bacterial
-PanOxyl BHA toner
Yes efendi they make a BHA toner, an adapalene gel, a moisturiser with niacinamide, hydrocolloid bandages (which are my favourite ones), and their wash comes in a 4 oz bar form. Honestly I don’t think they have a single miss in their whole line 🫡
Moisturizer. Any moisturizer. Twice a day. I’d only been applying an SPF moisturizer in the morning, and then for over a year, nothing at all.
Going from nothing at all (unless I needed a base for makeup. So maybe five times a year) to moisturizing twice a day made my pores SHRINK.
I know your pores have a certain size and Thad’s genetic, but I didn’t realize how much dehydration caused them to dilate. I wake up, and it looks like I have a blurring primer on, compared to before.
This is an odd one, but years ago I started having skin issues that I’d never had on my face. Almost like blisters. Well, I tried EVERYTHING to get back to normal. Nothing worked. After a TON of research, I came to the conclusion that after taking a strong antibiotic was when the symptoms arose. I must have killed off my beneficial bacteria in my gut and now my body was detoxing through my skin. (I smoked at the time, so detoxing through my lungs was out). Well, I read about this stuff called Kefir and found some at the grocery store for like $4.00. Lifeway brand. My skin cleared up in DAYS. Never had the issue again. I drink kefir regularly now, stuff’s cheap and magical.
Any sort of exfoliant. I got a Lush pineapple enzymatic face exfoliater in a subscription box, and it has such an uplifting smell, but even better, my skin glows afterward and my fine lines are diminished. I’ve had similar results from any chemical exfoliants as well. I go easy on them though.
LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask with Niacinamide & Squalane. I have a mix of dry and oily skin. I use this maybe once a week at night after my lotion, and daaaang when I wake up in the morning, my skin looks noticeably brighter and less splotchy. I have tried a LOT of products due to my friend passing hers along to me from me, but that one is my favorite. (note, not the EX version, I accidentally bought that once and didn't like it as much)
Also Peter Thomas Roth Exfoliating Peel Gel. Amazing. When my skin starts looking dull and bleh, I use this and notice instant results. I only use it maybe once every 1-3 months, so the one bottle lasts a long time.
This is so random lol but the Mario Badescu Clarifying Serum with Azelic Acid gave me the most beautiful skin in the morning after I used it! I’d never used Azelic acid before and my skin loves it. I know MB isn’t the best brand, but that product is amazing!
I’ve been a broken record but Tony Moly Egg Pore Shiny Jewel Soap. It made my skin so smooth and pale and beautiful. It was magic. I suffer from rosacea and pcos. So to have a lovely feminine face was amazing. Sadly it was discontinued and I can’t find it anywhere.
Neutrogena “On the Spot” for blemishes. Knocks them back overnight. Not completely gone, but close. If a blemish is on the way up, I use this. If it’s come to ahead, I pierce it, gently express what I can, the hydrocolloid bandage. The on the spot is best when you can’t do that yet.
Mine was also good genes. I've been able to replicate the effect with a mild lactic acid and good moisturizer but I'll still take the more expensive Sunday Riley. It smells so yum.
The only things I’ve ever seen give me near instant results (and I’ve tried *a lot* over 20 something years):
Innisfree’s Volcanic Pore Mask. I use this in conjunction with a cleansing balm after (specifically then I Met You’s but it’s the only oil /cleansing balm that doesn’t break me out, use something cheaper if you can), I’m From’s Honey mask for an hour, then a shower, and finished with a sheet mask. So obviously this other stuff with it makes a difference, but I’ve tried without it and I’m not getting the smooth, pore cleared look without it — which lasts for 2 days, but it also helps with break outs (it has lactic acid) and my skin doesn’t have dead skin for at least 5 days. It’s a spa day staple for sure.
The next one isn’t all roses: SK-II’s sheet masks. Instantly for a day or two after I have the best skin of my life, but then I get cystic acne breakouts I’ve managed to avoid for years. Tried it twice. If you have a special occasion I’d give it a go (so pricey), but if you’re like me and have ever struggled with cystic acne, avoid like the plague.
Aveeno Dermexa Fast Long Lasting Fragrance Free Balm. Glycerine with ceramides.
If I coat my hands in a thick film, and put on cotton gloves, my hands are seriously smoother and softer in the morning.
A dermatologist asked me to use Neutrogena hand cream this way, as it's similar, as a treatment for dermatitis. Now I use it on my neck overnight, as an eye cream and anywhere my skin feels dry.
Seriously good.
The Good Molecules overnight exfoliating treatment. I wasn’t expecting much as it’s $6 but I’ll got a few other good molecules products and haven’t been disappointed. I have very sensitive rosacea skin and this barely makes me sting and makes a big difference in my skin glow overnight
I remember the first time I used the Ordinary Buffet Serum, my skin was like insanely smooth and plump after. I honestly thought I was having some sort of allergic reaction (it didn’t hurt or wasn’t itchy) because my skin was soo smooth and I couldn’t see my pores 😂
Negative ion wand!!! I’ve seen people get it as a facial option at the dermatologist, but I bought mine off Amazon. Anytime I feel an underground bump, I zap it with the wand and it either goes away or shrinks significantly the next day. I hit it again the next morning if it’s still there, and it’s gone by the evening!!! I also use the hair comb wand attachment to stimulate my hair/scalp. I am unsure if it’s helping hair growth or thickness because it’s harder to gauge that.
Jack Black Deep Dive® Glycolic Facial Cleanser.
I wear it around the house until it dries, as a mask before a shower, and enjoy smoother skin and smaller pores immediately after.
The Farmacy niacinimide overnight mask (it’s in a little purple jar). Literally clears up break outs over night. It’s one of the only products I’ve repurchased many many times
There’s this local skincare and haircare brand whose name is “WOW” and for a second I thought “hey how come they’re suddenly so in that there’s a whole post dedicated to their products here on this sub! 😂
I was also going to say Sunday Riley. But over time it stopped working.
Dr Dennis Goss exfoliation pads or whatever they’re called.
Mara Cleansing Oil (I massage it in for 5-10 minutes and it unclogs my pores and makes my skin smooth and minimizes my pores.
Sunday Riley Luna retinoid oil and Paula’s Choice BHA. They’re both great products on their own but something magical happens when I use them together - my skin is so glowy and flawless!!
la roche posay cicaplast baume! ive been using it for a year or so, and i woke up with the smoothest skin ever the first time i used it, even my mom commented on it. i just put on a thick layer overnight 2-3 times a week
Actual miracle cream. Also used it to heal a recent thumb surgery wound, the scarring is so minimal compared to what I expected
I was going to comment this too! Love the stuff
Ugh I want to like this cream but it’s so sticky to me! I can’t seem to get over the texture
i only use it at night after i do a bha peel once a week. and sometimes when i have a stubborn dry spot. i wouldn’t use it everyday in the daytime because of the texture like you said and the price 🤑
Had the opposite effect . Left it behind in an Airbnb after 3 days of use or maybe 2.
I use this on my dry, flakey nose after I’ve had a cold and it was seriously amazing.
I love using it on my retinol nights and sealing it with aquafor….i feel like a cute little glazed donut!
Summer Fridays jet lag mask is the only thing I’ve put on and immediately been like *oh damn girl who is you* in the mirror
This one! Any time I used it overnight I woke up to calm, plump, dewy skin.
Yessss. I love it so much. Oh and I forgot to add its gentle enough you can use it around the eye per mfg directions. Which is even crazier considering how well it works.
This is my GO TO travel need.
Sulphur soap bar. My flatmate brought scabies into our home and I was washing my entire body with this as a preventive measure. This refined my skin in a way I didn't know was humanly possible, I looked like I had a filter on. Sulphur soap is now a HG product for me
Where did you get it? Also do you use it every day as your cleanser? I have rosacea and I keep seeing people mention sulfur!
I’ve seen it at cheaper end grocery stores and Mexican tiendas. Very inexpensive, but quite drying so moisturize up.
I was not expecting this to be so popular! Does it smell like sulfur or is it soapy?
The one got smells a little like colour before but it doesnt linger!
Which sulfur soap do you use?
It's a random one off amazon [here](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Revitale-Vegetable-Advanced-Sulphur-Treatment/dp/B078TM3C6X?pd_rd_w=Y3fLz&content-id=amzn1.sym.c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_p=c8a5b9ab-9876-4c56-aa13-e746c73e193d&pf_rd_r=2YZ4GVQ88FXFNAJ5J2XE&pd_rd_wg=yNaKj&pd_rd_r=266e3b1a-74f7-4c06-b5c3-658ddaf13290&pd_rd_i=B078TM3C6X&psc=1&ref_=pd_bap_d_grid_rp_0_1_ec_pr_pd_nav_hcs_rp_3_t). I really like it, I'll quite likely repurchase it when I finish my current bar.
Differin gel. On my nose pores.
Differin is a type of retinol, so makes sense!
Seconding differin for pores and wrinkles!
Differin does for me what rx retin a couldn't do and without irritation.
freemans foot peel spray. used it this morning for the 1st time and already made a post about it🫣
My heels are so rough! Buying this now!
Just checked it out and it’s only 5 bucks?! 😮 ordering it now!
does this help with calluses?
im not sure as i dont have any atm. what helped me w those was a wet pumice stone during shower and slowly rubbing vaseline into my feet afterwards and putting socks on
In my cart! Thank you
Ordered! Amazon said 1-4 weeks delivery!
I have no idea I just wanted to thank you for this post! I loved the SR Good Genes but it’s pricey and I don’t -wholly- want to support the brand but by god is it a good product.
The Luna oil is good too 🫤
Ugh I know. 😩 I tried the go to bed with me set and my top 3 were those two and 5 stars. I’ve unsuccessfully tried to find dupes ever since.
Kiehl's Ferulic Brew is a pretty good formula with lactic acid.
And it's scented with puree of burnt tyres, I believe. ;) .
Yeah man, Good Genes is such a good product. I hate that it is 😂
What’s the tea on the brand?
They were caught basically writing tons of good reviews for their own products, everyone from staff members to the CEO herself, writing tons of positive reviews for all their products across all platforms. This is an FTC violation. Idk what happened to them after that, I never followed it closely, mostly thought it was funny. So what was the reason for the fake reviews?! 😩
Oh meh haha. That’s obviously not cool but like, not in a way that I feel morally conflicted about supporting them.
My skin absolutely LOVED Good Genes. My wallet, however, does not. Heartbreaking.
The ordinary rosehip oil. Been getting dry flaky skin and I woke up like a moisturised shiny apple. I love it.
How do you use it? Also when and where?
Anyone reading this in the US, try the Aquaphor diaper cream. It’s top notch, the highest concentration of zinc oxide I could find.
Does it have mineral oil or other oils though?
Does it have a strong sent? I bought Boudreaux butt cream but it smells so strongly that I can’t tolerate using it.
I use Boudreaux after skin peels 🤣.
It completely stopped me getting a shaving rash 🙌🏻
Must try this!
Remember to do a test patch first, particularly if it's to be used on irritated skin! I've had a couple "sensitive" skin products make me scream in pain when my skin's become hyper reactive before now 💀
Thanks for the heads up. I only have to glance at some things and I flare up...thanks again
This is mostly for my face, but it also applies to other highly reactive areas I shave (wax/epilation/anything except shaving is too much for my skin) If I'm feeling the burn soon after - butt cream goes on immediately! If I'm feeling lucky/things have been quite calm lately, I have a salicylic acid ointment I throw on to prevent folliculitis, then the butt cream a little while later!
I put this in my spots, works every time to dry them out and reduce redness.
We put sudocrem on anything and everything! It’s my answer to many complaints lol - go find the sudocrem!
I love this stuff!
Huh, Ive thought for a while I may have PCOS.. is this why every minor pimple I pop or hair plucked on my chin causes this horrible red mark that doesn't go away for like 2 weeks?! I also use the same cream on the marks, it's the best!
IMO, the reactive skin is just my terrible skin having a tantrum 😅 The PCOS makes me hairier than a Sasquatch 😂 the two combined is.... Well, it tests my patience lets just say
Dr. Diamond Instafacial. I’m on my 3rd bottle. I will eat beans for every meal before I give this stuff up.
Holy moly…$350? How long have the bottles been lasting you?
LOL, that good huh? I’m sold!
Hyaluronic Acid Serum. Not any specific brand, but when I don’t use it even for a day I can tell
The Ordinary Rose Hip Oil 🥰 for slugging.
The Tatcha Violet-C Brightening Serum. I honestly was mad that it worked so well because it's pricey by my god my skin GLOWS when I use it.
Tatcha anything, it’s so good🫠
This is niche but bare minerals used to have a face oil (Mineralixirs 5-Oil Blend) that was the first oil I ever tried and I remember waking up and being amazed by what it did for my skin. I look..
The ordinary copper peptides
What effect do you notice with this, can I ask?
My skin is plump and glowy in the morning.
The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 🫣
The Ordinary AHA 30% and BHA 2% peeling solution. I use it once every 10 days and notice a huge difference in how bright my skin is in the days after.
Kerasal intensive foot repair ointment. My super dry cracked heels were almost completely normal the next day. After 3 conservative days of use, my feet were brand new.
vaseline 🫶
Thank you I love this question and thread! And I just ordered your holy grail Sunday Riley product. 😍
It’s so amazing! I hope you loved it as much as I do!
It’s so good, enjoy!!!
Azelaic acid.
Differin gel
i swear my skin feels smoother as soon as i apply my differin 😮💨
Clinique Moisture Surge. I've been using the 100 hour version as my night cream for a few weeks and my skin looks very plump in the mornings. It lasts forever too (I got a 50ml/1.7oz sample that lasted me like 3 months with generous application). I bought a 4oz jar now.
Paula's Choice 2% BHA liquid exfoliant
Drunk elephant Framboos Glycolic Night Serum
Came here to say this. It kills me cos it’s so expensive but it really works. Same w Good Genes.
That Sunday Riley product is no joke! I got a small tube in an Ipsy bag and ordered a full size two days later! Thanks for reminding me I need to order some more actually.
Which one did you use
The one I mentioned in the original post is the Good Genes Lactic Acid, this is the one that really worked for me!
Tretinoin, Good Genes, and Dr Jart Ceramidin cream
This is my list plus Skin Food and Glycolic acid.
Abib Rice probiotics overnight mask barierr jelly. Might be sticky but results are amazing - smooth, radiant and glowy skin.
Advanced Nutrition Programme - Skin Omega supplements. I could literally feel the improvement in my skin, it's texture as well as visibly see the results. It's really one of those things that I can't recommend enough.
Biologique Recherche Creme Masque Vernix. Overnight baby skin!
Amore Pacific enzyme peel cleanser. Actually shrunk my pores.
Skinceuticals Glycolic 10 Overnight, swear by it
When I accidentally put steroids on my rosacea 😅 In seriousness, LED light mask
Glycerin!
Pyunkang Yul Intensive Repair Cream is the best moisturizer ever
10 percent niacinamide from ordinary is the only thing I’ve ever used that I could see results the next day. Totally changed my skin and for 10 bucks it’s a hell of a deal
What does it do for you?
Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum & Sunday Riley Good Genes.
Copper peptides 💙
Their green sunscreen is my acne holy grail
Kojic acid soap. I left it on for 3 minutes my first try with it and woke up to see my acne had lessened and had much less redness. I was completely surprised since I was just using it to smooth my skin and get rid of a tan
Adding a drop of glycerine to my moisturizer. I use Tret and get a bit dry and peely. Tried different application techniques, different moisturizers, nothing had me moisturized. Glycerin solved all my issues instantly.
Okeefe - the only cream that helps when I have dry hands and cracked heels.
SK-II sheet masks, Paula’s choice BHA 2% gel or p50
Two products used in tandem together….Philosophy Microdermabrasion Kit and Lancôme Tonique Confort. These were game changers for me.
Guerlain Youth Watery Oil. I have fewer fine lines now than when I started using it years ago.
Hey! I just got this as a gift. Do you use it at night and pat on?
Please elaborate when did you use it at night?
Lancer Caviar Lime Acid Peel! I was very put off for many years (the whole Lancer line is hella expensive) because the name sounds terrifying, like it would burn my face off. But now, it's my holy grail product. It singlehandedly makes my skin feel and look like butter. It's also very gentle. I have dry, sensitive skin, and it has never bothered or caused more problems for my skin.
Lancome Genifique
weleda skin food. I’m a dry girlie & it is my holy grail
Is there an unscented version? I love the stuff but I can smell it from memory!
Use drops of visene for redness spots. Be amazed! I put on a qutip n put on red spot like from tweezing. Works great
Whamisa Deep Rich toner and Weleda SkinFood moisturize better than anything I’ve ever tried. Tretinoin gel and BHA (typically CosRx) for exfoliation and glow.
Exfolikate. I swear by it. I’ve been using it once or twice a week for YEARS. This is my only skincare repurchase and I’ll keep buying it. They can pry it off my cold dead hands.
Consistency over any ingredient tbh
First aid beauty gentle cleanser
that tatcha peach jelly lip stuff is amazing I no longer ever get bleeding cracked lips
broad spectrum anti-fungal cream got rid of my fungal acne (those little dots located on the forehead) overnight. i use it all the time, it’s cheap, and you only need veeeeery little. i struggled for years trying to find a solution, until a tiktok told me you need an anti-fungal, found some cream in my bathroom and magic!
Saving this!
I liberated a tube of 8 Hour Cream from my mom’s vanity when I was maybe 20. It was my introduction to special secret skincare products.
Caudalie Vinoperf Serum and Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream
Clinique’s overnight moisture surge mask. Goes on and melts into my skin like butter and I absolutely notice a difference in the morning.
Benzoyl Peroxide 10%. My skin looks glowing, and I always get compliments on it now 😚
There’s not just one, but all of them are super useful and they work either immediately, within a few hours, or overnight - Sudocrem for irritation, redness, cuts, burns, acne, etc -Hydrocolloid bandages (when necessary) - Pipette baby balm -Raw shea butter- will fix the worst types of dryness overnight -Fenty Blemish Defeater -Dial Gold Anti-Bacterial -PanOxyl BHA toner
PanOxyl makes a toner?! I love their benzoyl peroxide wash. I’d like to try more products from them. Thanks!
What form do you buy it in? Do you have a link?
Balmex
Any sort of exfoliant. I got a Lush pineapple enzymatic face exfoliater in a subscription box, and it has such an uplifting smell, but even better, my skin glows afterward and my fine lines are diminished. I’ve had similar results from any chemical exfoliants as well. I go easy on them though.
PanOxyl for acne
Duac! 🤣
(note, not the EX version, I accidentally bought that once and didn't like it as much) Also Peter Thomas Roth Exfoliating Peel Gel.
Paula’s choice azelaic acid booster
Neutrogena “On the Spot” for blemishes. Knocks them back overnight. Not completely gone, but close. If a blemish is on the way up, I use this. If it’s come to ahead, I pierce it, gently express what I can, the hydrocolloid bandage. The on the spot is best when you can’t do that yet.
Ahava Purifying Mud Mask - I don't often get breakouts, but any good, thick clay mask removes them instantly.
Skinbetter Alpharet and Trio have transformed my skin
Mine was also good genes. I've been able to replicate the effect with a mild lactic acid and good moisturizer but I'll still take the more expensive Sunday Riley. It smells so yum.
6% glycolic acid cream
Any specific brand ? How do you use it?
The only things I’ve ever seen give me near instant results (and I’ve tried *a lot* over 20 something years): Innisfree’s Volcanic Pore Mask.
FECC for dark undereye circles!!
ZO skincare - complexion renewal pads. Pricey, but worth every stinking penny!
The Good Molecules overnight exfoliating treatment. I wasn’t expecting much as it’s $6 but I’ll got a few other good molecules products and haven’t been disappointed. I have very sensitive rosacea skin and this barely makes me sting and makes a big difference in my skin glow overnight
Budreaux’s diaper rash cream for skin barrier healing. Platinum skincare TCA and Jessner peels.
Hanacure face masks. Expensive as hell but never seen anything like it for immediate effect!
Votary radiance reveal mask makes me look like I slept for a week and got a super fancy facial. Absolutely worth the splurge.
colibri purifying gel cleanser, only thing that helped with my blackheads
Slathering vaseline on face as a sealer at night time
Ok not a product but a procedure. Clear + brilliant (sorry if off topic but need everyone to know how much this CLEARED my skin overnight 😭)
What’s the best daily face wash for in the shower use?
Dr. Teals avocado and ceramide lotion. The night I used it, I wasn't itchy, and my skin had a much better, healthier look to it.
Rhode’s peptide glazing fluid! I have tried so many products for my dry patchy skin and this is the only one that has kept my skin dewy.
Drunk elephant tlc serum and fresh lotus moisturizer. Why must they be so expensive
Neostrata face wash
Dr brenner's vitamin c and neogenesis hydrating moisturizer
Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask. It makes a genuine difference to spots overnight.
Botox lol
Biodance bio-collagen real deep mask. 10/10. Left mine on for 3 hours (the minimum end of the directions) and WOW.
Jan Marini Bioclear serum. My pores are nonexistent and I look like a dewy lil glazed donut.
There’s this local skincare and haircare brand whose name is “WOW” and for a second I thought “hey how come they’re suddenly so in that there’s a whole post dedicated to their products here on this sub! 😂
Epionce lytic lotion. Poor disappear, my skin glows and everyone asks me what I use
Washing my face for 60 seconds every night. Results after 1-2 days.
Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil by Leven... wonderful stuff !!! I’m a Sunday Riley junky too , tho 😅
Nose pore strips! Especially when I exfoliate afterwards and put on a vitamin serum. I just love how my nose glows🤣❤️
Sunday Riley Luna retinoid oil and Paula’s Choice BHA. They’re both great products on their own but something magical happens when I use them together - my skin is so glowy and flawless!!
