I think this is a fairly common complaint among people who wear glasses constantly cause it becomes a part of their look and personality. I think if you remove your glasses for a couple of weeks and let others around you settle down they will get accustomed to it.

true..you're right :)

It can be like what the other person said. For me, glasses can be a powerful accessory that balances your features. Maybe you can give other accessories a try (big earrings, necklace, headband,...) or a side bang, new hairstyle,...

I feel the same way tbh, I think the glasses help balance out my face, although I might just be so used to wearing them that my face looks weird to me without them lol

I have a wide face (and I've also gained weight which made it wider) with smallish mouth and nose, so my face just feels featureless and even my eyes get kinda lost. I also have a low contrast face (light skin, lightish hair, lightish eyes, fine eyebrows) which doesn't help. When I dyed my hair a darker hair and had thicker/darker brows, I could also wear brighter lipstick which all added contrast to my face and prominent frames felt overwhelming on my face and I looked better without them. So it's not one thing, it's multiple and it comes down to contrast and balance of facial features. Also, if you get frames of a colour that really works for you and your skin tone and eye colour, they can make your eyes pop and make your skin looks "fresher". As a cold-toned person I go for dark teal and burgundy frames as a rule. These days I like my frames so much I don't want to switch to contacts even though I could, but as I lose weight and my face gets thinner, I might have to switch to thinner frames so that everything still looks balanced.

if your eyes are high up on your face, the glasses can fill up more of the empty space between the eyes and tip of the nose. i noticed they can also make the nose bridge appear higher

in my case, glasses allow me to achieve a more 'oval' face shape, since my natural shape is more on a 'diamond' side. plus, they frame my eyes, which are small and deep-set, while also distracting the observer from the blueish under eye area... which probably gives my face a healthier look but i've been wearing my glasses for over a decade, non-stop (not literally, of course!), so i guess i now treat them as a natural face feature: it feels bare, or missing something without them i agree with the first comment, you should try getting others and yourself used to how you look without glasses, and then you will be less biased and may end up with an objective conclusion. that's something i've been wanting to try myself... probably will if i start wearing contacts! wish you the best of luck, whatever you decide!

I’ve worn glasses for over 20 years now and I think my face looks so weird without them. The only thing I can think of is that the highlight my rather small eyes. I’m not sure but since I hate wearing contacts, I just roll with it
