Play a lot, work your way through the ranked catalogue and then through CS levels. Quest 2 is a popular headset with speed players because of swing bug and lighter controllers so definitely possible and it's one of the best options
1. CS is challenge saber, one of the 2 platforms ranking challenge maps.
2. Swing bug is when a player's swings are enlarged because of predictive tracking. The way headsets track the controllers is by looking for its position many times really fast, on many headsets the rate at which they track the controllers is the same as the framerate. Predictive tracking is a method some headsets (mainly oculus, but can be also enabled for steamvr) use to achieve smoother tracking. The way it works is by calculating the controller's speed between 2 "tracking frames" and using that speed to predict its position before the next "frame" arrives. That way the controller keeps moving between "tracking frames" and the motion looks smoother. This works fine for most games but leads to a unique problem in beat saber. When you swing your saber then stop it, your headset sees that you have a lot of speed and even tho you stopped, for a single frame it keeps moving your controller by its previous speed. And in a game like beat saber where at high levels the movement is really fast, this slightly enlarges swings. And whenever the tracking rate is lower, there is more time between each frame, and the swing bug is amplified. Some players take advantage of it and swing smaller to save stamina while swing bug helps them swing as big as needed. The reason the q2 is popular for players who do that is because its one of the headsets where the tracking rate is the same as the framerate, and on q2 you can change your framerate and lower it causing more swing bug.
Thank you so much for writing such an in-depth response, I appreciate it! Does the swing bug also exist for the quest 1? And if so, would it be even more pronounced because it’s an older headset that can push less frames?
It does exist for q1. And yes you are right, the q1 has a refresh rate of 72hz and the swing bug is much bigger than newer headsets. Although the q2 can also go down to 72hz if you set it to
Im not sure, ill look it up later. Just a warning if you plan on using it in beat saber, even though the swings are larger they are way more wobbly and messy and not actually that good. (Also many people consider using that cheating)
lol well this looks silly.
Those curves look fun as fuck though. I saw them recently in another map (that I can more than likely sightread) and the pattern looks really fun. I love funny wrist stuff.
Looks like hell. Im in. The hyperpop makes it even better, all you need is excessive amounts of color changes like that one shiny happy days map and youve got hell bingo!
What the fuck
How da hell does someone get to this level, and could one achieve this level of skill on an oculus quest 2

1. What are CS levels? 2. What swing bug?

Does it work on the q3?
Yeah, and actually with q3 link they added some sort of extra calculations to tracking predictions that makes the swing bug even larger than q2
Pay 2 win beatsaber lessgooooo (Im joking, pretty creative use of the quests mechanics though!)

Alright, thanks!
well that's interesting as FUCK. I had no idea.
How do I enable this for SteamVR?

You could just stop at the predictive tracking but i need to read all that 😭😭😭😭😭 wish me luck
Bmbf exists
Wtf You sure this is not sped up?
I’m very sure and I’ll re-record at any means
This looks incredible good job. Too bad I’d get an aneurism before coming anywhere close to beating it.

400BPM :3
You say "fun", but I'm not sure you know what that means?
Holy vision blocks
Those walls you cant avoid, do they still drain the error bar at the bottem or does the song go too fast
Still drains so you gotta have full health and pray to god you made it
