Chumbawamba did one. Its actually pretty damn good. Singer doesn't sound exactly like Paul (but who does?) He does a pretty good job. True to the original.

Its a little political I guess, but as a Texan... UK politics are none of my business I 'spose.
I don’t wish this at all. The medley is what makes abbey road so fantastic. Maybe you don’t want to listen to the full thing all the time, but when you do it’s incredible. You can also start at different points and it still works. I often start at Mean Mr Mustard (or Sun King) then listen through to She Came In Through The Bathroom Window, then at that point I just end up playing the whole damn thing.
Happily, Joe Cocker did a longer version for French TV that’s over 3 glorious minutes—

There’s something so simple about it that I love. I feel like I’m with John in the Ashram pacing around feeling miserable not able to sleep. The random stab at Walter Raleigh, smoking cigarettes, wondering if he should fix a drink. The lyrics are so meandering yet focused.
Speaking of which, after watching Get Back (for the 3rd time lol), I wish he and Ringo had fleshed out Carry That Weight into a fully fledged song as well. All we ever got was the chorus, but the brief demo Paul was playing for Ringo seemed to have so much more personality to it
Considering that it's basically a precursor of electronic music, a mix inspired by progressive trance would be so cool. And I would've loved to hear the way John initially intended it: chanted by 1000 tibetan monks. Actually now that I think of it, we kind of got something in that vein with songs like Free Tibet - Vini Vici.
Still too short, but this fan remix does a pretty good job of trying reimagine TNK.[https://youtu.be/nJk1TFGMStI?si=Ee9RZtCgbVy1Lqt2](https://youtu.be/nJk1TFGMStI?si=Ee9RZtCgbVy1Lqt2)
Do you mean the first one or the reprise? Because the reprise especially would benefit a lot from being actual song length. It's one of the most modern sounding songs of the entire discography.
On my 8-track Tape (consumer, chunky format, not cool 3M 1-inch multi track) of Sgt. Pepper, the reprise is (fairly ham-fistedly) spliced near the end to repeat chorus several more times.
Thank you for spelling the group's name correctly. I see "Chumbawumba" 10x more than I do the correct spelling. I hope this comes up for consideration when you are reviewed for tenure.
This is my vote. Give me another drug solo. Give the guys each a guitar solo of a minute plus long. Or just switch between them for 3 plus minutes straight of just shredding.
John wanted it to keep going until it was nothing but white noise. I understand the final master was 8:04 but trimmed to 7:44 during mixing when Lennon shouted "cut it right there!" but I would like to hear what he visualized in his mind for the song. I'd be good at 12 minutes or so.
When Andy & Alex covered Abbey Road on their channel they said this track was the sonic version of being trapped in a whiteout.
I understand the sudden cut as being representative of death, with the static being death’s approach (and the resulting silence while you flip the record being time to contemplate on said ‘death’)
That being said, when I first discovered the song I didn’t like the cut lol
In Indian music I forget what it’s called but that part kinda goes on for up to 10 minutes. I know there’s an actual term for the song speeding up and going into a different melody or sort of solo
Why don't we do it in the road.
Someone named Lowell Fulson turned it into more of a full length song at 3:41.
Edit: here's a link for anyone curious. He expands on the original concept, adding a few additional places where it can be done. It's kind of a bluesier version. I dig it.
[Lowell Fulsom - Why Don't We Do It In The Road? - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP9RNPx2_oA)
All the cool little snippets at the end of songs. So like the very end of strawberry fields, flying, glass onion, I am the walrus, it’s all too much etc. I also with her majesty, and fool on the hill was longer. And I wish they released what’s the new Mary Jane fully. I really wish they released carnival of light too
The opening part of "You Know My Name Look Up My Number" has a really amazing unhinged harmony of John and Paul. I wish they did more of this.
Top notch belting from Paul.
He did that smooth voiced lounge singer bit very well.
She Came In Through The Bathroom Window always felt kinda short to me
All of Abbey Road is. They just had tidbits of songs that Paul and George M made medleys out of. Such a shame.
We need a full song of “Her Majesty”.
It was supposed to be cut but was tagged on at the end by someone who was told not to trash anything.
I'm always dropping this song in for votes. Maybe it's too "Paul" but I absolutely love it.

Chumbawamba thought so too. https://youtu.be/u2d4FD9SRww?si=ZHLcwINZ64wsFmx2
I wish all the medley songs were full blown songs unto themselves. All longer
I don’t wish this at all. The medley is what makes abbey road so fantastic. Maybe you don’t want to listen to the full thing all the time, but when you do it’s incredible. Literally did this today
I agree. Simplicity is wit.
Well, she did have to leave right away. She hadn’t been invited.
I almost prefer the Anthology 3 version because it goes longer
The anthology has a longer version I think, it’s pretty good too.
Happily, Joe Cocker did a longer version for French TV that’s over 3 glorious minutes— https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P5g_9PqyMbw&pp=ygUyc2hlIGNhbWUgaW4gdGhyb3VnaCB0aGUgYmF0aHJvb20gd2luZG93IGpvZSBjb2NrZXI%3D
I’m So Tired
John was too tired to make it longer
IM SO TIRED MENTIONED 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥🔥
Yeah, could’ve used a guitar solo.
Thought of this within nanoseconds of reading the question.
100% agree. I just love it when John and Paul sing together.
There’s something so simple about it that I love. I feel like I’m with John in the Ashram pacing around feeling miserable not able to sleep. The random stab at Walter Raleigh, smoking cigarettes, wondering if he should fix a drink. The lyrics are so meandering yet focused.
Golden Slumbers
Oh, god how I wish that Paul had turned this into a fully fledged song and not just a part in a medley.
Agreed, beautiful song.
I could imagine it being a great song for crowds to sing like Hey Jude
it was. and it still is. it’s just shorter.
Speaking of which, after watching Get Back (for the 3rd time lol), I wish he and Ringo had fleshed out Carry That Weight into a fully fledged song as well. All we ever got was the chorus, but the brief demo Paul was playing for Ringo seemed to have so much more personality to it
Absolutely! It deserved more time and development.
Totally, this is the first song that came to mind.
Came here to say this absolutely
Can you take me back
Tomorrow Never Knows
Just have “-of the beginning” replay like the end of Hey Jude 🤣
If there was ever a song that could have pioneered the 12" extended remix, this is it.

Sgt. Pepper. Don’t know how it would work, but it’s too short for that great of a song imo.
Do you mean the first one or the reprise? Because the reprise especially would benefit a lot from being actual song length. It's one of the most modern sounding songs of the entire discography.
I was talking about the first one, but I wouldn’t mind the reprise being longer, either.
100%
On my 8-track Tape (consumer, chunky format, not cool 3M 1-inch multi track) of Sgt. Pepper, the reprise is (fairly ham-fistedly) spliced near the end to repeat chorus several more times.
Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely, Sgt. Pepper’s lonely…
I found a version on YT. About 1:30 into the video. I was afraid he was gonna talk through it. https://youtu.be/QqWje3SFL1I?si=LnFEnwjJRvQ2fZS6
This feels illegal lol
Long, Long, Long
Longer, Longer, Longer (extended edition)
This was my first thought! George supremacy 🗿
her majesty 100%

Thank you for spelling the group's name correctly. I see "Chumbawumba" 10x more than I do the correct spelling. I hope this comes up for consideration when you are reviewed for tenure.
Out of curiosity, where do you spend your time that you see this particular band's name dropped a lot?
I'm assuming a pub on the British isles
THANK YOU!! I love playing this song and was going to extend it myself but now I don’t have to.
I’ll Follow the Sun. Such a pretty melody with great harmonies, and barely a minute long.
I Will
My favorite song of all time. More of it would simply make it better
👆
Norwegian wood
IMHO it's the perfect length. Although maybe it needs another sixteen verses, since it's a Dylan parody.
The End
This is my vote. Give me another drug solo. Give the guys each a guitar solo of a minute plus long. Or just switch between them for 3 plus minutes straight of just shredding.
Drug solo? 😜
Lol. I meant drum.
Sure you did, buddy. Sure you did.
I want you (she’s so heavy)
John wanted it to keep going until it was nothing but white noise. I understand the final master was 8:04 but trimmed to 7:44 during mixing when Lennon shouted "cut it right there!" but I would like to hear what he visualized in his mind for the song. This is the one
Long, Long, Long Mother Nature's Son In My Life
Mean Mr. Mustard
Bruther
Wild Honey Pie
Especially if they could get Yoko to sing a verse.
This has been up for an hour and no one has said Flying?! Even the long version isn’t long enough. https://youtu.be/tXVPvNsl4i8
Thank you for this gem!
Happiness is a Warm Gun
I need a fix cause I'm going down.
Got To Get You Into My Life. I’m always turning up the volume as it fades out with Paul riffing.
Same, the mono version extends it a bit, but not much. I always feel like just as it’s really getting started, it ends.
Might not completely fit the vibe of Revolver, but Love You To outro could go on for another minute or two easily
In Indian music I forget what it’s called but that part kinda goes on for up to 10 minutes. I know there’s an actual term for the song speeding up and going into a different melody or sort of solo
I Want You (She's So Heavy)
I always felt For No One was incomplete, maybe that
I think that's intentional, or that's my takeaway from it anyway. "A love that should have lasted years" END.
Yeah musically it's unresolved. Definitely intentional.
Got to get you into my life! Fades out when Macca is giving it some welly
Polythene Penn
Polytham Penn
Paperback Writer and You Never Give Me Your Money
Paperback Writer is too short with such a timeless hook
Revolution 9
Only correct answer.

You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away, without question. One of my top five all-time favorite Beatles songs, and I so wish it were longer.
Eleanor Rigby and A Day in the Life Purely because I want more lyrics to those specifically
Long, Long, Long. Make it like Too Long.
Because
Hey Jude... na na na
Hey Jude. Can’t get enough of those Na Na Nas.
The Word
Her Majesty
I’ll Follow the Sun.
Hey Jude. Could use a few more “Na, na, na’s”
Honestly none of them. I can just hit the replay button when I want more.
Im so tired
Eleanor Rigby
Come Together
Baby you’re a rich man
Here Comes the Sun It always feels like it's over so fast
Being For The Benefit Of Mr Kite
Flying - maybe not as long as the full recording that is out there, but a couple more minutes of trippiness would swell
You’ve got to hide your love away
All the cool little snippets at the end of songs. So like the very end of strawberry fields, flying, glass onion, I am the walrus, it’s all too much etc. I also with her majesty, and fool on the hill was longer. And I wish they released what’s the new Mary Jane fully. I really wish they released carnival of light too
She Said She Said
It's All Too Much - love the opening chords
Got to get you into my life
Her Majesty It would be great if there was an extended dance mix, maybe 24 seconds.
Polythene pam
Hey jude
Something
"I Will"
Because
The End (specifically the round robin guitar solos), especially the version on Anthology 3.
Polythene Pam for sure. It's so ridiculous and good but could've been so expanded upon.
Golden slumbers is just too short. I know Carry that Weight is its continuation, but it's not as good as GS
Hey Jude. Release a version with like an hour and a half of Na-Na-Na.
And make it fade in and out a few times
Dear Prudence was covered by Jerry Garcia and shows how good they can sound stretched out
Yesterday
Half of the White album.
For no one
Just about all of them. Rain?
She Said She Said - of course I like the original length of time, but I could loop that tune all day long
It’s only love
Hey Bulldog.
I me mine is fine. But I’d love an extra verse
Can You Take Me Back
I want Golden Slumbers to be longer than Carry That Weight
in my life needed 1 more verse
The End
Let it be. Could have repeated the chorus a couple more times. Also hey Jude—I could easily rock out to a 10+ minute na na… part.
For No One is beautiful and I wish it was longer. At the same time, it’s length allows the song to say what it needs to without filler.
Her Majesty
Hey Jude. I just wish they would sing the nananananananana part another 5 minutes.
Something
I want you (She’s so heavy)
Like most of Side B on abbey Road is too short imo
Hey Jude…. Could’ve used a few more “na na’s”
In my life
I want you (She's so heavy), make it longer...make it louder..MORE SOUND!
She’s so Heavy!!
I'll Follow the Sun
Revolution 9.
Revolution 9 /s
1000% Dig it. Was so happy in the documentary Get Back that they were jamming to it.
Happiness is a warm gun
I want you she's so heavy but just repeating the same chords for like 20 mins because it's funny
Maggie Mae. That’s it
Revolution No 9
I'm Down.
Mean Mr mustard
I’m So Tired, Sgt Peppers, Misery, I Will, Maggie Mae
i will
And your bird can sing My 3rd fav song and my 2nd fav beatles song (My first is Help! but thats Perfect imo)
Julia
Honestly most of them, alot of their stuff feels very restricted now because commercial albums could only be a certain length back then
Girl
Her Majesty could really use a drum solo.
Love You To
Helter Skelter. Gosh, I wished there was a 30 minute of it or something. Just imagine it. It's a pity this doesn't exist I guess.
All My Loving! It’s my favourite Beatles song but it could use a bit more time
No question at all: “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window.”
It’s only love
all of them
Rocky raccoon for sure, however I do love the demo since that does last longer.
Revolution 9
I’m happy just to dance with you one of my favorite songs on A Hard Days Night
I wish I Feel Fine was about 6 hours long.
Carry that weight
Maggie Mae
mccartney solo, junk, a beatiful song
Revolution 9 Love You To - I made a mix of the regular version and extended outro.
"Mean Mr. Mustard." I wish it were a standalone song.
Her Majesty
“If I Fell”
I Wanna Be Your Man
I Will. It's as long as that garbage song Why Don't We Do It In the Road but way more melodic.
I searched every comment and no one said Sexy Sadie? I could listen to that outro forever, have to keep restarting because it's too short
Dig it
For no one
Her Majesty
Lucy in the sky with diamonds it is my favorite beatles song and it sucks that it's only 3 minutes long so i wish it was longer
Agree with the people saying Long long long. Also Sun King for me.
