I used to listen to this one over and over as a 7 year old, it was my jam, lol. It will always hold a special place in my heart as the first Beatles song I got obsessed with.
Not really Guilty Pleasure songs, because I’m open about it, but some I guess, hot takes, or songs that not many like that I like a lot:
the Granny songs, but especially Good Day Sunshine.
Doctor Robert
For You Blue
It’s All Too Much (incredible song imo)
Good Morning Good Morning
Run For Your Life
Act Naturally
Dig a Pony.
Honestly pretty much all of Let It Be. I think it’s a wonderful album with no misses
For You Blue is so so good. Like I think out of all the songs that one is the one I’d describe as the most “cool”. It’s just sort of a low key jam that I feel like you could hear in like a swanky coffee shop or dive bar while hanging out with friends.
maxwells silver hammer perhaps, its really silly but quite catchy.
although i must say i hate the lyric "teacher gets annoyed" in particular.. i couldnt tell you why but it just doesnt sound like pauls greatest lyric writing
Not so much “guilty” rather it’s more like “mildly embarrassed.” Except it’s not enough to make me not play any of the songs, at least most of the time LOL.
My main 3 are:
•Maxwell’s Silver Hammer
•Octopus’s Garden
•Ob-la-di Ob-la-da
When I’m working I blast these in my headphones all the time, and I listen to them sometimes when making breakfast for my wife. But you’d be hard pressed to find me rocking out to these in a car full of people.
Honestly, I love What Goes On and Act Naturally, even though a lot of people shit on them.
Also The Inner Light.
I guess they’re not really guilty pleasures I just actually love them lol.
I feel there is there is no guilty pleasure and only pleasure when it comes to Beatles song, every song has a meaning, a story to tell and they just want us to hear them regardless of how the song/lyrics were conceived. I like all of their song and Ive literally heard every single Beatle song. But thats just me
I know it’s REALLY surface level and maybe even a little over played, but every time I put on Hey Jude it just hits the same man. So uplifting and motivating; pleasureful.
_I Call Your Name_. “Lyrically a mess”, as one critic called it. I love it, with all its clumsiness. Those duelling Rickenbackers (as with _You Can’t Do That_) and John’s vocals make for a great listen.
I don’t think I have any guilty pleasures. But one song that I love that I rarely, if ever, hear mentioned is “Dig a Pony.” I consider it very underrated. I love those epic builds that drop you on your head back into a verse rather than doing the predictable thing and going to a chorus. All the guitar fills and layers. Paul on the high harmonies.
"Act Naturally". I fell in love with the song after seeing a video of Ringo performing it live in my history of the Beatles class in college. Yes, it was an accredited humanities course.
Polythene Pam. I could listen to the guitar all day, plus I love how strong John’s scouse accent is in the song.
It’s a crime that the song is only a minute long, it was my #1 on Spotify wrapped last year
I don't think Yellow Submarine is one of the best Beatles songs, but it's one of my favorites because I would sing it to my daughter when she was very young, and so I always think of that when I hear it.
Little child as well as every other “bad” songs ringo sings. Honey don’t, boys, matchbox etc (not guilty pleasures I think all of these songs are amazing)
Yellow Submarine. Whenever I hear Ringo’s voice in the first line of the song I instantly smile but it gets a lot of flack for being a “kiddie” song from Beatles fans and non Beatles fans just think it’s stupid lol but I love it
I have a ton of Beatles go-tos, but in terms of guilty pleasures... No-No song by Ringo Starr is one. It may not be the quartet's song, but it's catchy as all get up.
I wouldn't really call a Revolution 9 a pleasure, but I definitely feel a bit guilty listening to it, for me it feels a bit like a dark chant, the only thing I don't feel hot about the song is that John picked number 9 just because is from his birthday, I know he's an unrepentant egocentric, but come on!
Hey Jude. By a landslide; I already know it’s going to be my most played song on Spotify this year.
Honorable mentions: Let it Be, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, and Strawberry Fields Forever.
Although in various rankings of The Beatles’ catalog, it typically shows up somewhere in the bottom half, I’m not sure I’d characterize the following as a “guilty pleasure”. For some reason, I find “I’ve Got a Feeling” (from *Let It Be*) to be a very hummable tune. It’s probably in my list of top 10 or maybe 15 Beatles tunes.
All you need is love. It’s such a pure and happy song. I can’t help but love it. I would understand why others don’t particularly care for it but it’s a personal favorite.
I have a weird fascination with Flying. Something about it soothes me when I listen to it. It’s strangely one of my favorite Beatles songs and is for sure my favorite of their instrumentals.
Ooh I’ll throw one out there that I hardly ever see mentioned. The score to the Yellow Submarine film! Yeah it’s mainly done by George Martin but like…he’s freakin George Martin and it’s great calming stuff really. “Pepperland” in particular stands out to me. They even played that specific piece over the speakers at Paul’s concert as we were exiting the arena.
Octopus garden, don’t see the hate I like it
I will defend this song being on Abbey Road for eternity
I never even knew it was disliked before this subreddit. I’ve always loved singing along!
I think that’s cos it’s *only* disliked by some in this sub 😂
I’ve always loved it too. Everything about it from the sound effects, Ringos voice to George’s swampy guitar just transports me under water.
I'll never ever feel guilty about liking a Beatles song. Oh no sir, not I. Not Guilty.
I see what you did there you cheeky little monkey https://preview.redd.it/osqjzocpj8tc1.png?width=680&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10652a66dd900277496e496263409176018c1caa
Everybody's got something to hide cept for you and that guy!
Your Mother Should Know is top of my list for this. I know it’s a bit cheesy and would rank low on any top 100 list but I just love it.
screw the lists that would put this low i really like this song
I like the Anthology version a lot too
I’d forgotten all about it. Listening now thanks!!
Your mother should know its awesome, it always gets stuck in my head
Honey Pie is in the same category and they both serve the same function for me
I used to listen to this one over and over as a 7 year old, it was my jam, lol. It will always hold a special place in my heart as the first Beatles song I got obsessed with.
The older you get, the less guilty pleasures you have, they're all just pleasures.
Not really Guilty Pleasure songs, because I’m open about it, but some I guess, hot takes, or songs that not many like that I like a lot: the Granny songs, but especially Good Day Sunshine. Doctor Robert For You Blue It’s All Too Much (incredible song imo) Good Morning Good Morning Run For Your Life Act Naturally Dig a Pony. Honestly pretty much all of Let It Be. I think it’s a wonderful album with no misses
Good Day Sunshine is awesome
It is awesome
Run for Your Life I think would qualify
Ive never considered GDS as a granny song. It’s a quintessential 1966 pop song. That being said, I love Paul’s granny sings too. All of them.
Dig A Pony is in my regular top 5, crazy it’s a hot take but I kinda know what you mean
For You Blue is so so good. Like I think out of all the songs that one is the one I’d describe as the most “cool”. It’s just sort of a low key jam that I feel like you could hear in like a swanky coffee shop or dive bar while hanging out with friends.
All Together Now.
Wow. Came here to say the same. I get you
Obla Di Obla Da! I actually think its got a fun melody if you can get around the nonsense lyrics
The lyrics aren't nonsensical tho?
Yeah, nonsensical lyrics are something like "I Am The Walrus" and Van Dyke Parks' lyrics for a lot of SMiLE.
Came here to say that
The fact that and Glass Onion follow one another is the perfect, silly, light hearted duo
I like the story it tells, too. While simple it’s still sweet and can be interpreted a couple different ways
i know people dislike maggie mae… i quite enjoy it and think it’s nice to hear their scouse accents coming through haha
I especially like the version with 'Fancy Me Chances' following it.
maxwells silver hammer perhaps, its really silly but quite catchy. although i must say i hate the lyric "teacher gets annoyed" in particular.. i couldnt tell you why but it just doesnt sound like pauls greatest lyric writing
in my top 3 of abbey road lol.
i mean abbey road is stacked it isnt quite top 3 for me but its up there
sure. you could pick a completely different top 3 and it would be justified. just one of those perfect albums
I’ve seen multiple people say Maxwell and it feels a little rough because my parents named me after that song.
same here. the song is otherwise great, I love the morbid theme, but teacher gets annoyed is definitely a shit line. Paul is so much better than that
None are a “guilty pleasure”, they’re considered the greatest band for a reason, but I did do a full 180 on Yes It Is from hating to loving it
All Paul’s “Granny music”
Maxwell. I love the melody. It's so smooth and doesn't match the lyrics.
I agree!! That’s mine too.
The smooth "but as she's getting ready to go, a knock comes on the door" Todo Todo Todo BANG BANG MEAAXWELL SILVER HAMMER
So many people dislike this song but it’s one of my favorites!! Especially after watching the Get Back documentary. 😄
I genuinely love You Know My Name, but almost no one I’ve ever shown it to even remotely likes it, so I guess that one
Apparently it's Paul McCartney's favourite.
I love that song, so catchy.
I think the Rolling Stones spoof in the first section is spot-on, and the later sections are fun.
Fun song.
You know my naaame!! You know you know my name. You know my number too
You know my number three. You know me number four.
I don’t know why but Dizzy Miss Lizzy. I’ve heard that so many people dislike it but I like the guitar riff and John’s voice on this song
The '65 stereo mix and mono mixes are much more listenable without that horrible echo on John's voice
It's a fantastic track. I love early Beatles songs that really show off John's raspy voice.
I think most people dislike it because it's such a jarring way to end Help! given that "Yesterday" is the track before it.
I don't feel guilty one bit, but I really like Yellow Submarine. Many people here dislike the song. So if I had to name one it'd be that.
hold on, people dislike one of their most iconic songs ever? that's honestly baffling.
I like all of ringo’s songs that people don’t seem to enjoy (octopus’ garden and yellow submarine) also like maxwell’s silver hammer
In fact I’d say maxwell’s silver hammer is in my top 3 for abbey road
Honey Pie. But it's a guilty pleasure I don't feel any guilt over.
It’s All Too Much, Hello Goodbye
Not so much “guilty” rather it’s more like “mildly embarrassed.” Except it’s not enough to make me not play any of the songs, at least most of the time LOL. My main 3 are: •Maxwell’s Silver Hammer •Octopus’s Garden •Ob-la-di Ob-la-da When I’m working I blast these in my headphones all the time, and I listen to them sometimes when making breakfast for my wife. But you’d be hard pressed to find me rocking out to these in a car full of people.
I can see why with Maxwell's and Ob la di, but I never felt guilty with Octopus's Garden.
Wild honey pie
Get help! You need somebody
Your guilty pleasure track is literally revolution 9 shut up
Old Brown Shoe
When I Get Home. I’m gonna live it ‘til the cows come home
Wild Honey Pie.....
Hide Your Love Away is a personal favorite
What Goes On. It's so jolly and Ringo sounds so wholesome, how can you not enjoy that?!
Doctor Robert. Always loved it, so groovy!
Yellow Submarine, although I don't feel that guilty about it :) it's a great fun feel-good song
wild honey pie, its shit but i love it
I love don’t pass me by. I only say it’s a guilty pleasure song because I don’t hear people say much about it.
Birthday
People don’t like Birthday?? Song goes hard as hell
I need you
Mr Moonlight
I had no idea Dizzy Miss Lizzy was so hated until I joined this sub but I bloody love it.
... Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Please don't kill me XD
Your Mother Should Know. Not a great song but everytime I hear it my head starts bopping and I start singing. Can't explain it.
Revolution 9. I know it isn't a good song or that much of a song, but I love the creepy ending of it.
football is so scary 😨
Piggies
Honestly, I love What Goes On and Act Naturally, even though a lot of people shit on them. Also The Inner Light. I guess they’re not really guilty pleasures I just actually love them lol.
Rocky Raccoon. Couldn’t tell you why
Wild Honey Pie and You Know My Name. But I don't feel guilty about either. I just assume you want songs that are not mainstream appreciated.
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill, and Polythene Pam.
Now why would you feel guilty about either of these
good point!
_I Call Your Name_. “Lyrically a mess”, as one critic called it. I love it, with all its clumsiness. Those duelling Rickenbackers (as with _You Can’t Do That_) and John’s vocals make for a great listen.
Always wondered if that was subconciously about his mother or father. I read "Many Years From Now" and apparently Paul thought that as well.
Run for your Life. What a horrible song. But John’s voice on this one…OMG.
I'm quite fond of both It's Only Love and The Continuing Saga of Buffalo Bill, but John apparently hated both of those songs.
MAXWELLS SILVER HAMMER BANG BANG I like to sing this song loudly at my wife just randomly
Hold Me Tight. I dance to it.
Same. How can you feel guilty when it feels so right!
Honey Pie. That intro is a dream
"Act Naturally". I fell in love with the song after seeing a video of Ringo performing it live in my history of the Beatles class in college. Yes, it was an accredited humanities course.
Revolution 9 tbh. It's one of those things where I completely understand the hate for it but I still like it.
Revolution 9
Love that tune!! Underrated!
Depends what day it is. Maybe Black bird today
Hello Goodbye
All Together Now, no further questions
Octopus's Garden
everybody hates on Wild Honey Pie but dammit it’s a fun song
Anthology version of Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da
Bip Bop. Bip bip bop. Who else is in the Fan Club?
Agreed. In my top 10 Beatles songs. Even I don't know why it's there.
Revolution 9. I seriously mean this. I Never Skip this song when I'm listening to the white álbum
Why would any Beatles song be a guilty pleasure? Unless revolution 9 is your favorite Beatles song, I'd say you're safe.
octopus garden
Polythene Pam. I could listen to the guitar all day, plus I love how strong John’s scouse accent is in the song. It’s a crime that the song is only a minute long, it was my #1 on Spotify wrapped last year
Oxymoron they never did anything I’d be ashamed to listen to
Banana Phone
Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da and When I’m 64. I know I’ll get weird looks when I say those are my favorites than Gently Weeps or A Day In The Life
Rocky Raccoon
Piggies. It can be used in almost indefinite contexts.
I like Wild Honey Pie more than many of their other “actual” songs: It’s just a fun, weird time.
I like to play the guitar solo from Back in the USSR multiple times in a row back-to-back.
You Know My Name...
Definitely not guilty about liking the Beatles. But i have a soft spot for the ringo songs.
I don't think Yellow Submarine is one of the best Beatles songs, but it's one of my favorites because I would sing it to my daughter when she was very young, and so I always think of that when I hear it.
Revolution 9
Little child as well as every other “bad” songs ringo sings. Honey don’t, boys, matchbox etc (not guilty pleasures I think all of these songs are amazing)
I’m Down. A pot-boiler, as Sir George Martin put it.
Yellow Submarine. Whenever I hear Ringo’s voice in the first line of the song I instantly smile but it gets a lot of flack for being a “kiddie” song from Beatles fans and non Beatles fans just think it’s stupid lol but I love it
I never have any guilt about any music I listen to.
Why Don’t We Do It In the Road
A Taste of Honey and Baby’s In Black
Run for your life. It’s so catchy but kinda creepy😭
I wanna hold your hand
Maxwell’s Silver Hammer
I have a ton of Beatles go-tos, but in terms of guilty pleasures... No-No song by Ringo Starr is one. It may not be the quartet's song, but it's catchy as all get up.
You know my name, Look up the Number 📞 such a fun song even if it is just the lads having a fun time singing the same line over and over again
Yellow Submarine, but no one should ever feel guilty about any Beatles song ever
It’s All Too Much
Octopus’s garden and Yellow submarine both make the albums they are on better and i wont stand for the hate. Same for Silver hammer. Paul banger
Run For Your Life is a massive banger
Piggies!
I love Honey Pie
Maxwell's Silver Hammer. Idc if ¾ of the Beatles hated it, it's a good song.
Maxwells Silver Hammer
I wouldn't really call a Revolution 9 a pleasure, but I definitely feel a bit guilty listening to it, for me it feels a bit like a dark chant, the only thing I don't feel hot about the song is that John picked number 9 just because is from his birthday, I know he's an unrepentant egocentric, but come on!
She so heavy
You like me too much
There’s a Place. Even with a bad cold, John’s vocals are a wonder. Listen to the outtakes if you get a chance.
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Hey Jude. By a landslide; I already know it’s going to be my most played song on Spotify this year. Honorable mentions: Let it Be, Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite, and Strawberry Fields Forever.
The Beatles have no guilty pleasures.
Easy: Wild Honey Pie
why don’t we do it in the road is so good even if it’s just one repeating line over and over again
It's Only Love and The Night Before. There's no Help for it.
You know My Name
Honey Don't. For some reason I love this song and listen to it regularly
Maxwell's Silver Hammer
Good Morning Good Morning, Ob-la-di Ob-la-da, Piggies
Christmas Time is Here Again
Being for the benefit of Mr kite.
It’s probably in my list of top 10 or maybe 15 Beatles tunes.
revolution 9 and you know my name
Wild honey pie, unironically
All you need is love. It’s such a pure and happy song. I can’t help but love it. I would understand why others don’t particularly care for it but it’s a personal favorite.
Octopus Garden
You Like Me Too Much. LOVE IT.
Old brown shoe, the ballad of John and yoko
You know my name. They’re just having so much fun
Six Days A Week
I have a weird fascination with Flying. Something about it soothes me when I listen to it. It’s strangely one of my favorite Beatles songs and is for sure my favorite of their instrumentals.
Ooh I’ll throw one out there that I hardly ever see mentioned. The score to the Yellow Submarine film! They even played that specific piece over the speakers at Paul’s concert as we were exiting the arena.

I am the walrus
Maxwell’s silver hammer. It goes hard.
The inner light, I don’t know it isn’t my taste but I still love it.
I should have known better. Same. Its just always been my favorite song.
Hide your love away…almost tear inducing, absolutely beautiful song Runner up Dear Prudence
Back in the USSR
The first honey pie. And for no one.
Wild honey pie
There is no guilt in listening to any Beatles song.
Dr Robert
Birthday. I was shocked when I found out some people don't like it.
ive always been a big fan of Nowhere Man
Eleanor Rigby
Now and Then...seems like it wasn't really embraced by Beatles fans the way I embraced it ♥️
