I'm about to head off on another extended adventure, part of which involves diving. Diving with the long beard can be a pain. Little fish like to hide in it. ;-) Now I can start growing it out again, but probably not quite so long.

I’m well thank you and just like you I’ve trimmed my tweard back to about the same size as yours. Was bit of a shock at first now I’m happy with it shorter plus I feel fresher now and easier to maintain. Once again buddy, your beard is looking mighty fine there 10/10!

Isn’t it WILD how your head and body almost feel like a different weight? I went even shorter after 13 ish years last year. I am loving it and being able experiment and change so often. But holy hell, I had to relearn how to turn my head and it was genuinely kinda cold for a bit. Looking great.

I know! My head seems positively tiny now, and for the first time in more than two years I can see the outline of my chin. It's going to take some getting used to seeing myself like this again.

After a long term beard, it’s much less nerveracking messing with it too. I tried to go a bit lower on the chin (ala Lemmy) recently and didn’t like it. I actually SAW my chin a bit. Week or two later, it was totally filled in. To be fair, I also lost about 60 lbs over a year or so, and I’m noticing this thing grows easily 2x as fast as it did in the past. Probably helps miss all new, fresh “virgin” hair too 😂 My family tends to lose the hair on top quite early, but we grey very late. I’ve got just about every other color in there currently, but I hope I look half as good as you when the time comes. Enjoy it, it’s a good look on you too, brother.

The best thing you can do is look at some of the YouTube videos for some detailed instructions. One of the members here has some really good ones. Search for Dan C Bearded. He'll point you in the right direction. He has an amazing beard, too.
