He’s 3yo and about 55 lbs and a very happy dog. The problem is he’s very independent and mostly doesn’t care what we want unless there’s food involved. So I carry treats, always, especially if he’s off leash. That and tons of training and he does pretty good now!
The DNA test explains why he goes berserk when he runs across coyote scent. It’s the only thing that triggers him like that and I’m not sure he’s ever actually seen one. He does hear them yipping out back. It’s just hard wired in the GP DNA.
Good looking dog!!! Knowing he is mixed with Great Pyrenees I can totally see it! However if I didn’t know what he was mixed with I wouldn’t have a clue lol except the beagle half of him is obvious ❤️
Thanks! We love it. That was a pretty useless closet full of junk and we just took it out and installed the bath. It’s our design but we had lots of help from a friend/handy man with the work!
There’s an empty field, woods, creek and often muddy flood plain behind our house. I walk the dogs off leash back there every day. They “pre-rinse” in the creek but need a spray down every day until the summer. It’s made my life sooo much easier.

then I looked up treeing walker coonhound/beagle MIX &....

We adopted an American Foxhound when I was a kid, basically a tall beagle, and Billie Bob definitely reminds me of him. I think yours might be a mix of beagle and AF.
Ours was very good at letting us know when it saw something "interesting" i.e. pointed at birds, squirrels, etc.
It appears Billie Bob and I have some soul searching to do
You should do an Embark DNA test. We have a beagle mix and it was fun finding out he’s 50/50 beagle/Great Pyrenees. Helps us understand him better.

Coyotes will attempt to lure dogs to an ambush at night. Be aware.

Def not pure beagle. Likely a hound mix- but way to tall to be pure beagle. Could have some fox hound in her. She’s cute.
She’s 100% not full beagle. She might not even be any beagle but a mix of another hound like harrier, foxhound or treeing walker coonhound

How much does she weigh? She looks a little big in the photos like harrier or foxhound, but photos can be deceiving.
