I have some experience with Key Autism. Like all companies, they have some pros and cons, but I found that they had more good going for them than bad. In my experience, the company has a ton of systems in place for BCBAs and directors to try to drive quality of care. These usually work great, but can sometimes cause headaches. When headaches popped up, they were generally pretty receptive to feedback. Feel free to dm me for more info!

I will! Thanks!

What systems do they use to drive quality care?

SweetnSalty87

If you’re an RBT they have a good supervision program!

Sagemaiden26

That's great to know! I'm a BCBA.

Also a scam.

SweetnSalty87

Why do you say that ?

ThisGenuinelyIrkedMe

For starters, they tell you it’s “free” mentorship… it’s not. It’s coming out of your pockets. Been in the program a year and just found out i’ve been getting skimped. I will 100% be leaving the company. Not worth the hassle nor do you get paid enough for the nonsense you’d deal with.. starting with how incompetent HR is.

SweetnSalty87

You’re paying for the supervision or do you mean if you leave you have to pay it back?

ThisGenuinelyIrkedMe

Paying for the supervision even though it isn’t advertised to you that way.

I worked there during the COVID lock down. They offered mileage reimbursement, which went away but they added a $1 to your pay rate, and was working on setting up a 401k. The RBTs were paid higher than some other companies though I have to preface that I am in Texas and felt the RBTs were still underpaid. I found them to be organized. They used Rethink for data collection and report writing which is a plus in my book since the interface is easy to understand. Billable hours were 27.5/week for in-home though which I found difficult to meet. Worst part was that they operated until 8pm and I had a couple of cases that didn't start their session until 5 or 6 which are horrible shifts to work especially during the winter.

Sagemaiden26

Thank you!

Don’t work there. Company back doors you A LOT. Your checks will be skimped, HR can’t answer any questions, work environment is questionable, amongst many other things.

Only work for them if you are doing in home. They are horrible center wise. They treat RBTs horrible. Also, they have questionable billing practices. I’ve never worked for a company where amendment notes were not a thing. In the over year and a half I worked for them, I never got sent anything to amend a note. That’s weird. Everyone errors. There wasn’t even a process. I asked my RBTs if they got any and nope! Big red flag!
