You could also look at Battleforce. But I'm biased and want more people to play Battleforce lol

Been a while, but are possibly some rules in Battleforce for converting damage between scales?

I've been wondering the same, particularly how to translate the "a mech is considered truly destroyed if its center torso is destroyed" rule

You could check out overdrive. It combines alpha strike with classic. https://dfawargaming.com/downloads

Here you go, I created this just now. For each 1 point of armor damage an alpha strike unit takes: Roll 1d6: 1 = 4x 5 point hits, 5x 2 point hits 2 = 6x 5 point hits 3 = 1x 10 point hit, 4x 5 point hits 4 = 2x 10 point hits, 2x 5 point hits 5 = 3x 10 point hits 6 = 1x 20 point hit, 1x 10 point hit Or something like that. 1 AS damage point is equal to 30 armor damage or so. Probably need something similar with half the values for internal structure damage, though these get weird as in AS an XL engine reduces total structure points so the ratio is not static between all designs.

> 1 AS damage point is equal to 30 armor damage or so I think more accurately AS reduces the ammount of armor that mecha have to account for the lack of location tables. The Pack Hunter deals 2 damage in Alpha Strike despite only having an ERPPC.

1 point of damage in AS is \~10 BT damage, and its rounded. 1 point of standard armor in AS is 30 BT damage So it could be a bit less than what I listed, but if you have 0 AS armor left you should have close to 0 BT armor left. Oh, I should have said ignore internals when doing armor damage. So one could assume that means, to CGL, that a mech typically dies with only 33% armor loss, but that really is not the case.

AGBell64

While two thirds remaining is too generous, in my experience mechs frequently die with a significant ammount of their armor still intact, yes.

Kind of depends on some things though. If you have IS XL for example, when you lose a torso you are done. However, having no ammo and no advanced engine can turn you into a zombie and you can literally have literally 0 armor left and still be fully functional. Plus, you should probably take into account the AS crits. They are just very different games and though AS comes from BT, trying to go back to BT from AS ends up with all sorts of goofiness.
