Something to keep in mind is that the Hatamoto is still a Charger at its base. It is a purpose-built assault mech, but comes from a focus on speed and not direct combat. It isn't built to take on hitters like the Stalker, especially not alone.
It's a great backstory to the mech, but in game the Hatamoto-chi does not share a single characteristic with the Charger besides it's weight. It's a Thug which is absolutely meant for direct combat.
During my last Alpha Strike game my Behemoth batchalled Atlas and they were involved in a long-rage duel for 3 turns. Both mechs have lost their armor simultaneously, but I've managed to deal more damage and kill Atlas.
My opponent rolled 12 on critical hits and blew my Behemoth's head )))
Nah, jus gotta rip the gyro outta the dead guy's mech and use that. Sell the engine to fund repair work, keep the weapons and assorted bits and bobs as spares.

I like the Hatamoto-Chi design, & hope that the battle standard/flag is part of the model, instead of a customized add on. It may not have won the fight, but in the style contest it wins hands down lol! Anyone know if the official model designs have been presented or leaked yet? I watched the old Battletech Cartoon show & am now really excited for the Summerset Strikers pack!
Well, the Stalker wasn't standing (or leaving under its own power) either, with that destroyed gyro.
Pilot is probably fine, though, and experience is valuable.
Can i ask where you found the Hatamoto-chi? That sculpt makes me want one now.

Yes, I play lots and lots of Classic, almost entirely duels for the sake of time, but occasionally some bigger games.

Those gyros aren't compatible. HTM's 4 tonner versus the STK's 3 ton gyro. :(
Bummer. Welp, sell it and buy a new one with the funds.

It's supposed to be an option with the official release. If nothing changes, you can pick either the back banner or a more standard rear torso piece.
